New Day begin

"Wow! Miss Ashley, you're really amazing!" Jenny exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.

"Gosh!" Ashley responded, quickly transforming herself back to her usual self while changing Jenny's clothes.

Just then, the door swung open, and a group of people walked in.

"What happened? Why did you scream?" Noah asked, stunned by the scene before him. He felt a rush of shock as he saw Jenny holding Ashley's hand, both of them laughing. Over the past year, Noah had seen Ashley struggle to find joy, and the sight of her smiling brought happy tears to his eyes. It was clear that even though she couldn't make a sound, her joy radiated through her beaming expression.

"What's going on here?" Emma asked, breaking the silence.

Everyone snapped out of their thoughts, their hearts racing as they glanced at Jenny.

"Uhm, she... we... were just playing," Jenny hastily explained.

"What kind of game makes her laugh like this? She hasn't reacted to any games or words in over a year…" Miya furrowed her brows, her voice filled with anger

Before Miya could continue, Noah interjected, "You shouldn't be so cold! You should be happy she's smiling for the first time in ages. This is because of her!"

Noah gestured toward Ashley, who had frowned slightly at Miya's harsh remarks. "You're really amazing," he said, looking at Ashley earnestly. "Please keep making her happy, even if we can't. Also, we have some business to attend to outside this week, so you'll need to take good care of her."

"Okay, sir," Jenny replied with a smile.

As Noah left the room, Emma's anger bubbled beneath the surface. She clenched her fists and stormed out, followed by Miya.

Once everyone was gone, Jenny turned to Ashley, noticing the unfriendly gaze directed her way. "I'm sorry," she murmured, lowering her head.

Ashley rolled her eyes and lay down. "Tomorrow, we'll go to the model company," she said, closing her eyes.

She opened her eyes and smiled, after jenny left she notice the laptop in front of her. She walked over and began typing as if she had been using it for years. Before long, she glanced at the time—it was already thirty minutes past two in the evening. After stretching her body, she headed to her bed to get some sleep.

The next day...

"Sister... sister... You came home late yesterday! What's wrong? I didn't even notice when you got here," a young guy, around 15 to 18 years old, said while staring at Jenny.

"Oh! Don't be like that, and also remind your principal that you'll be paying your school fees this week," she replied.

The guy frowned as he glanced at Jenny with a weary gaze.

Oh! I went to bed early last night, so I didn't get to tell you that I applied for the job," Jenny said with a smile.

"Oh, really?" Lucas replied, bowing his head slightly and feeling guilty. "Sister Jen, I'm sorry I put you through all of this."

"Lucas, it's not your fault. It's our father's fault. If he hadn't left us, we wouldn't have to suffer like this," Jenny said, suddenly stopping in her tracks. She glanced at Lucas with a hint of warning in her eyes before continuing, "If you lie to me, I won't pay your school fees. Did you bring any girls to this house again and make them cry?"

Lucas hesitated, his mind racing as he struggled to find the right words. "Sis… it's not like I'm the one chasing them. They're the ones after me! It wouldn't be right to disrespect them by ignoring their wishes," he said, taking a step back defensively.

"L…" Jenny started, but Lucas cut her off.

"Sister, I'm getting late for school, and you're running late for work. I'll see you when you get back," he said hurriedly, darting away before Jenny could catch up with him. All she could do was call out his name in frustration.

*Killian Mansion*

"Dad, I don't think that girl is going to come. Just think about it—who would be willing to take care of a 'dumb girl'?" Emma said, her tone unapologetic.

Noah's eyes turned red as he glanced at Emma with a dangerous glint. Just as he prepared to respond, Miya intervened.

"Sorry, she's just a kid. Don't mind her words," Miya said gently.

"Kid? You call her a kid?" Noah snapped, swatting Miya's hand away as she tried to reach out to him. "And you should know she is neither mute nor dumb, so watch your words," he warned.

"Mr. Noah, I'm sorry I'm late. There was traffic; I didn't mean to make you wait," Jenny said, bowing her head respectfully. She stole a glance at Emma and smirked.

"It's okay, but there can't be a next time," Noah replied earnestly as he walked away, his face flushed with anger.

Watching Noah leave, Emma rushed toward Jenny, shock etched on her face. "What the heck are you doing here?" she asked, a grimace settling on her features.

"I'm here to do my work, not to play games with you," Jenny shot back, keeping her gaze steady on Emma.

"You—" Emma started, but Miya cut her off.

"Where's the money she gave you?" Miya asked curiously.

"Oh, that? I think I donated it to the kids in need," Jenny replied casually.

"Are you crazy? That was a million dollars! How could you just give it away?" Emma exclaimed, her voice rising in disbelief.

"Gosh, learn to calm down a little," Jenny said with a smile, tossing the brown-wrapped money into Emma's hands before leaving.

"Mom, she's got some guts," Emma remarked, only to receive no reply.

"Miss Emma, it's time to go," a young man in a black suit said politely, nodding his head.

"Are they gone?" Ashley asked Jenny with a warm smile, as she sat up from the bed and stretched lazily.

"Miss Alli, your sister is really cunning. She never wished you luck," Jenny said lightly.

"My name is Ashley, not Alli or whatever," Ashley clarified
