Journey begins...

For some odd reason, Alan slept in a bit more than he usually did.

When he opened his eyes, he saw his grandmother already storing away the remaining material either in her storage bag or in a trunk, brought by John. Which would be loaded inside the wagon later.

Alan you are up at last. Helen came to him and ruffled his hair. "Go get youself prepared my child. We shall be going through the packing again".

"Ok grandma." Alan nodded his head and started walking towards the river. On his was he saw that, all the tents were already taken down and the guards were getting ready for their journey.

Alan saw the horses longingly. But kept his wish of riding them to himself for now. "I will have the time to know more about them and ride them on our way to Green Town."

He took a bath, collect water for the last time from this place feeling nostalgic and went back after looking around the place after a few minutes.

Once back, both Helen and Alan went through the items they have packed and helped the guards to load them inside the wagon, but, he kept his sword with him on his waist.

The hut where they lived for the past 10 years till this day looked empty and lifeless all of a sudden.

Both Alan and his grandmother felt sad to see their home like this. But there was no other option. John entered at this moment and saw them standing their and looking around their home with a profound sadness.

He walked towards them, put his hand on both of their shoulders and smiled. " Come the meal is ready, after that we shall start our journey." John said in an understanding tone.

Both of them noded and followed John out of the hut. John, can you help me dismantling this hut? Helen Asked John.

Both Alan and John were surprised and a bit confused....!!

She continued.... I don't want the place we lived in to crumble down to natural elements and look like an abandoned place.

John noded in understanding. He called his guards and askd them to dismantle the hut as carefully as possible. It took them nearly an hour to get all things dismantled. They kept everything on the ground and tied them with a rope.

Both Helen and Alan sighed. Helen thanked the guards for helping them dismantling their home carefully.

Once everything is accounted for, they all had a good meal and after going through all their preparations one final time, they finally started their journey towards Green City.

Once everyone mounted the carriage, caravan or their horses the group started moving slowly.

There were 7 guards in the front of the carriage. One guard was sitting with the driver of the carriage where John, Helen and Alan were sitting.

Behind them were 2 caravans with a driver and guard in each. 4 more guards were riding behind the caravans on their horses.

"Uncle John, how much time will it take for us to reach the Green Town?" Alan asked.

"If all goes as per our plan, we will reach Green Town within Two Months." John replied.

"Uncle John, can I ride the horse few minutes everyday while we travel?" Alan asked .

"Why not my boy. If you like to, then of course you can ride the horse" John beamed at Alan and clapped his back.

Helen shook her head smiling. She knew that Alan wanted to do this the moment he laid his eyes on them but he was a well mannered and a patient child afterall so he was holding his wishes inside him till this moment.

They travelled without any break till the evening and covered around 30 miles.

That evening, they came across a pond which looked peaceful. They decided to camp near this pond for the night.

The guards removed the saddles from the horses and brought them to the pond. Everyone got out of the carriage. The carriage and the Caravans were moved to a side.

The cook started preparing items for that night's meal.
