Alan want to know about the new world.

Time flew by and the boy who was 5 year old, entered his 7th birth year.

He got up early in the morning went through his daily routine and came back from the river with water containers in both hand.

His grandmother now was 72 years and developed few more wrinkles on her face. But the gentleness on her face never reduced. She had the same sweet smile whenever she saw the little boy who was already 7 years old now.

Alan, come, lets eat. The old lady called the boy. He came and sat infront of the old lady and took the plate to eat.

Grandma, what is on the other side of the forest? Alan asked his grandmother curiously. She was shocked by this sudden question but only for a few seconds. She smiled bitterly and said ' There is a whole new world out there my dear. I was expecting you to ask this question from quite some time now.

Grandma can you tell me more about it please? Alan asked the old lady with excitement.

There are so many thing out there which I know and many more things which I don't. Tell me dear, what do you want to know? The old lady asked Alan.

He thought for a few seconds and then asked, "Grandma why are we living here when you say there is an entire world on the otherside of the forest".

She thought for sometime before answering him. "My dear, I used to live outside this area, and that place was called "Winden city".

It is more than 300 miles from here. And it is the nearest known city to us.

Alan was listening to his grandmother with wrapped attention.

She continues, "It used to be a lively place mainly runs on trading. The Winden city was well know for its academy where the students were shaped into future outstanding individuals."

She went on explaining about the city and how it functions to Alen in detail.

"Why did you leave that place and came here grandma?" Alan asked her as he didn't understand why she left the wonderful place and decided to stay in the forest alone.

She smiled and said, "It's because of your late grandpa my dear."

She started to tel him about their past adventures, their travel to different place, meeting different people and so on.

After having an adventurous and not so secured life, you grandpa and I decided to find a peaceful place and settle down.

"It was initially not our plan to travel this far from Winden city. We had planned to settle down near a small village but as we started searching for a suitable place for many months, we ended up coming here. This place as you know is almost like an island. There are no worries about dangerous beasts most of the time and we can get small games, some fruits and vegetables nearby this place."

"So we planned to stay here for few years to see whether we can continue living here or look for a place near a village. And your grandpa ended up loving this place. It felt lonely and boring initially to me but as time went by, I also started liking thi place. So we settled down here and its been more than 32 years now."

"Your grandpa passed away 15 years ago. But I never felt like leaving this place. The old lady sighed thinking about the time she spend with her husband here and the rough times she faced alone after her husband's death."
