"This.... this... Lad where did you get it?" Steve asked Alan in shock as his gaze held reverence towards the metal in Alan's hand.
"In the depths of the misty mountains, master Steve. I was unable to hand it over last time as we were all in a hurry. So please have it." Alan handed the Mythril over to Steve.
But lad, this is priceless.....
"This Mythril is priceless.... I can make more than 5 swords with it. And each sword will costs more than 200,000 or even 300,000 gold."
Alan shrugged and smiled. "That's fine maste Steve. That's not all we have. We have a more from where it came from . I am planning to try and make weapons for all of us once I reach the capital."
Steve then smiled in understanding. " So you are planning to work at master Remus are you?"
Alan smiled widely at that and noded happily.
"But still lad I have to insist on giving you something." Steven began insisting them.
Alan thought for a few moment and then whispered something in Steve's ear, which made Steve grin broadly.
Steve then took all nine of them to his magical weapons store room.
The girls eye went wide in shock, as if they were about to pop out of their sockets. The boy's were impressed by Master Steve's work and even began to watch the weapons with great interest.
Steve had expected this and was satisfied to see his predictions coming true.
"Well, choose whatever weapon suits you the most guys... and gals." He smiled apologetically at the girls.
The girls immersed themselves watching these weapons and Steve was guiding them around the showcases.
Williams raised an eyebrow at Alan and whispered in such low voice that even Alan found it difficult to here it " Al, if he is giving us the weapons, how can he get good profit out of Mythril swords?"
Alan grinned mischievously. "I told him to give you all the weapons as he was insisting on it. But I never told him, we are going to accept it free of charges. Have I?" Alan whispered back winking.
"You are one sly fox, you know Al !" William grinned back.
The girls were feeling quite confused about selecting the right weapon. Lilly was inclined towards a sword, but the array of choices made it challenging.
Eventually, Lilly and Irene decided to let Master Steve make the choice, but Rose insisted that Alan select a weapon for her.
Alan then briefed Steve about the girls' potential to harness their mana in a year or two.
Following this, Steve chose a two-and-a-half-foot-long sword for Irene.
The sword was a perfect balance of elegance and functionality. Its size allowing for swift, precise strikes while maintaining a manageable weight for extended use. The design was visually stunning and exuded craftsmanship and mastery.
Irene tested the sword with a few swings and found it to be a perfect match for her preferences. She thanked Steve profusely.
Then he chose a sword similar to that of Irene's for Lilly. However it was a bit heavier and was suited for both one handed and two handed usage offering a balance of speed and power during a fight. Lilly also was completely satisfied with it and thanked Master Steve wholeheartedly.
Alan chose a short sword for Rose similar to the one he received from John on his 10th birth year. Rose was extatic and when she held the sword in her hand it looked a perfect match for her. She hugged Alan happily.
Williams chose a dual bladed, duel wielding axes. Dave choose a dual curved sword. Ben and Bob both chose swords.
Once everything is settled, Williams took out a big box and kept it on top of Steve's table.
"What is this lad? Why are you...." Steve started talking whe Alan cut him in mid sentence, " I asked you to give them weapons master Steve but not for free you know." All the boys had a wide grin on their faces.
Steve was stunned for a moment then shook his head in defeat. "You rascle, this time you got me." Then hugged Alan again with a fatherly smile.
"By the way master Steve, you better start working on Mythril sword. Our Duke, Irene's father will be visiting you shortly requesting for the first one." Alan grinned.
"I will start right away my boy, right away. This is the first time I am working alone on Mythril." Steve said in exitement.
Once everyone came out of the smithy, Irene asked, "Al, why did you buy these for everyone? And why nothing for you?"
"Everyone had their birth day's these past year and these weapons are a gift from me." Alan said nonchalantly, taking everyone by surprise.
