Chapter 1

"Good morning Mr. Rin Takamato,

Please read the following non-disclosure agreement. Please be aware that your signature is legally binding and that signing means full acknowledgment of the NDA along with its consequences. Thank you.

- Amaze Studios."

The above was just the body of the email that I had received from my friend. How I have a friend at Amaze studios? Literally just lucked out I guess. (Seriously, I must've used all of my luck because damn life is hard after this. Anyways.)

Lin Zhen is his name, and he's a producer. At least he wants to be, right now he's on the environmental art team underneath one of the producers at Amaze. He's been my friend since we bumped into each other at one of the only movie premiers my mom had taken me before she passed away.

He had been part of the production team for the movie, and was one of the only people I talked to at the Q and A afterwards. Mostly cause we were both by the drinks.

We mostly argued about plot holes actually. In the end I managed to tell him that just to prove that I was correct, I would send him all my references on why the movie was missing so much stuff.

Since then we just hung out a lot and found out we were both pretty cool to hang out with. (I'm cooler, but continuing on.)

After a couple months though, we were as close as brothers. Mainly because my mom had passed on in a car accident, and he was there for me during that time.

Growing up with just my mother, I was alone afterwards. Luckily I was 19 and just starting college on my film degree. With my moms life insurance, I was pretty much set for my four years that I would spend in college. Two years in and I'm graduating the following year. 2021 seems so far away right now.

But anyways, since Lin was working at Amaze, I had asked him if he could look out for any openings that he thinks I could do. It was just an afterthought in one of our recent convos but I had received a message from him on Monday this week after my lunch period.

"I think I got something for you. I can't really say what it is, but think of it as you playing an extra in a new tv series we are coming up with here. It's more then just that though, and although it doesn't pay for the volunteers, believe me man. It'll be worth it. You've always wanted to be an extra anyways right? While you're in, you could talk to some people here. I have to go, it'll be busy for a bit but I kinda already told them you're email and that you accepted already… good luck and DON'T be stupid and not accept. Trust me!!!"

That was that. An extra. Not like it matters. I've always wanted to do that anyways. I had tried to respond to him and ask what series it was but I had no answer from him.

Then I received this email in my dorm room today right before I was about to sleep, four days since I talked to Lin. It was an NDA according to the email. I opened it, and it basically said all the usual things. Highlights of it being, three things. First, was a location and time to be there. Saturday, April 22nd, at 6:30 AM. That was tomorrow. Second was that Amaze is working on a new breakthrough project and that the series incorporates that project. Third, was that if I was to be apart of this, signing the document meant that I agreed to all the previous terms, including them having the right to just let me go from being an extra and not being apart of the project.

I'll have to say I'm pretty intimidated from the document. Okay maybe, more excited then intimidated, but me singing this document basically made so whatever I'm apart of, they would have full rights of what to do with me in regards to the series.

But you know what? I signed it anyways. It's just me being an extra on a set anyways. And it's Amaze Studios. Quite literally one of the best movie/tv brands out there. Maybe I'll meet a couple of famous people.

Anything's better then just sitting in my dorms on my free time. Or even me just working at Galaxy Bucks.

As I closed my eyes to go to sleep since it was getting late already, I had one last thought.

"Why does the address look familiar."
