[Trevor's Auction house]
The Hall of the Auction house was filled with people who had one thing or the other in mind, some had came for a specific treasure while some were there for something that might catch their eyes.
There were five VIP tables in the hall, which were reserved for the five special guest, the first table was reserved for the head of priestess of the holy church Truth, the second table was reserved for the Second prince of Avalon, the third table was reserved for the v.p of the Dal-Van Academy, the fourth table was reserved for the royal knight captain and the last table was reserved for a person of unknown background.
At the far end of the Hall was a grand stage where the items would be displayed one by one, amongst the vast number of people in the hall, Neil and Damian who had come to observe the event could be seen discussing about their budget.
"10,000,000 Gold, it should be enough!" Neil said after hearing the amount of money they currently had.
"Announcing the arrival of Lord Trevor!" A voice was heard followed by the gentle footsteps of the renowned lord Trevor, one of the greatest noble in Avalon, He was a man with smooth grey hair, and black pupils, he had a gentle but calm look as his wrinkled face made him look like a villain, he wore a simple long white sleeves with a black vest, while only putting on a simple black trouser, looking at him one would think he was a commoner as there was no style or grand fashion in his way of dressing but the aura he released made people rethink before messing with him.
"Once again, the Trevor's Auction house is opened for those who want to bid, the rules are the same, raise your number board to bid and if after five seconds no one else bid for the same item, it would automatically go to the last bidder and after the event the transaction would be made, with this I hope you all enjoy the event!"
There was a gentle and soft applause as he left the stage as a woman wearing a maid outfit walked in with a magic voice amplifier on her hand.
"The Auction house would be featuring three important item at the end of the event and one of them was made by our very own master Hawarin, now for the first item.
The ghost shell necklace, it's a magic item that gives the wearer the ability to become invincible leaving no trace behind, wearing it would make you be like a real ghost but without the ability to walk through walls of course, Starting price, Five thousand gold coins!"
Most people immediately found interest on the item but neither Neil nor any if the VIPs raised a bidding hand.
Eventually the item was sold for eight thousand gold.
...
...
...
...
Several item had been auctioned but none of them were eye catching for Neil to bid, the next item was a small black rock, it looked like a black egg with several ruins on it.
"The origin of this rock is unknown but it seems to posses a hint of mana, starting price, two hundred gold!" The price was relatively low seeing that it had no value attached to it, nobody had planned to bid but then a small sounded in the room, it looked like that of a teenage boy and so all eyes were on the hooded figure.
Neil immediately recognized that it was Jason and the stone was probably the catalyst for the monarch ritual.
"Going one, two, three, four!"
"One hundred and fifty gold coins!" Another voice said raising the board number of eighty five. "Two hundred!" Jason shouted while raising the board number of seventy. "Five hundred!" number eighty five said with a calm voice which made silence to befall the room.
Neil knew that Jason had a budget of five hundred gold coins and there was no way he could bid higher then that, he clearly understood while Jason would want it but as for the other person he was suspicious of his intentions.
"One thousand gold coins!" Neil said raising the number board of ninety nine which caused the two other contestant to shut up.
After the fall count of five, the item was successfully registered under Neil's number as ninety nine, meanwhile Jason on the other hand stormed out of the hall, Neil could see the agony in his face as he clenched his fist not even sparing a second glance.
"The next item is the sword of justice, a divine weapon that was said to fall from the sky, it's holy power is enough to make demons crumble, starting price one million gold each bidder must add an amount of nothing less than a hundred thousand gold."
upon seeing the item the person on the first vip table raised her number board of one which indicated she was bidding for it but at the initial price.
" One million five hundred thousand?" The person in the fifth vip table said which made everyone surprised, the bidding rate was too high ass the fifth person had added half the price of the item.
"Two million!" The number one called out.
"Three million!"
"Four million!"
"five million!"
"Six million!"
"Seven million!"... The whole hall soon fell silent as thee person on the fifth vip table called out.
The priestess was already growing impatient as she wanted to take advantage of the Trevor Auction house who didn't know the worth of the item.
She knew that the original worth should be over hundred million but also knew that no one other than her would know, and so she only brought a budget of nine million, she didn't know that there would be someone who would also be desperate to bid for the sword.
"Vip number five, wouldn't you leave this item for this little sister, I promise you that the holy church of truth would reward you."
After the silent treatment she was given, she quickly bid on eight million before the fall count. Meanwhile the other person was also growing inpatient and immediately sky rocketed the price.
"Fifteen million!"
"Going one, two, three, four the holy sword has been won by number five!" All eyes fell on the priestess who only bowed her hear in defeat and silently cursed herself for not fully preparing.
"The next item, The silver lotus ring, it gives the wearer an irresistible charm making even the world ugliest the most beautiful in the eyes of opposite gender, it was crafted by a mysterious elf who only sold the ring to us. Legend has it that wearing the complete set would make one unrivaled in beauty. Starting price: five hundred thousand!"
Neil was quite surprised as he stared at the ring in his own hands, it was perfectly the same with the one auctioned. He couldn't help but smile at the fact that the system had things that were already in this world.
The number two VIP who was no other than the prince immediately raised his hand for the bid, after seeing who it was no other person dared compete with him, this was the benefit of being a renowned prince.
"Now for the first item of tonight three specials, A set of magic spells found in an ancient tomb, the owner of the tomb was said to be the poison king, some of the ruins remained unexplored but we were able to find a book containing five level 5 poison skills, starting price, Ten million gold, bidding amount should be nothing less than one million gold coins.
Upon hearing this Neil let out a wide smile in hope that he would manage to get the item without anyone finding interest, but to his greatest surprise there was a contender. It was no other than the fifth vip, the one who defeated the priestess was now after his own treasure, after realizing what was at stake he rose the price without even thinking forgetting that his current budget was ten million gold.
"Twelve million!" Neil said while raising his number board of ninety nine.
"Thirteen million!"
"Fifteen million!"
"Twenty million!"
"Thirty million!"
"What's wrong with this brat, I already spent fifteen million on the sword and now I'm left with thirty five, I just hope he gives up!..Thirty five million!"
The Hall was silent for a while leaving only the voice of the auctioneer who was counting down from five to be heard.
"Fourty million!" Neil said and after a count down of five, no one else bided for the treasure and it was automatically registered under number ninety nine.
"Damn this fucked up kid, I'll kill him later then take the treasure from his hand." That was the thought of the Fifth vip whose identity was unknown.
"But Master, how do you plan on paying?"
"I have my ways!" Neil replied with a smile as he opened the converter unit in his system, he had over Two hundred thousand system coins and if converted to real life, it was more than Two hundred million gold coins and besides he already had a different plan in mind.
