Chapter 77

The conversation continued for some more minutes. Then Uncle Ken just entered the room while having some office flat files with him. We all greeted him, but his concern wasn't for us or our conversation. Instead, he was more concerned about Jimmy's whereabouts. While seeing noticing his mood, his wife stood up to attend to his husband. I overheard her telling Ken that Jimmy already left for work. Both of them entered their room, leaving me alone with Dave.

Then I had the opportunity to tell him about Ken and what happened the previous day. To my surprise, he also said that we should lessen the penalty due to Sam if not because of anyone, let it be because of Ken's wife. Who she is to me and who she might be after the judgment. We obliged, then he continued with what I served him.

We were still discussing when Uncle Ken and Sandra came out of the room and Sandra already changed into a different dress.

"Jessy, attend to your visitor. We're heading to Jimmy's office to conclude what we started. My baby is inside the house. Look after him. He has the document of the property he co-owned with your father. Remember, Jimmy demanded that. We are going to give it to him right there and then also meet with Justice Zick to know the way forward." She talked to me as they were halfway out of the house.

"Ok, ma. Greet both Jimmy and Zick for me. Though I will see them in the court tomorrow." I guess they already entered the car even before I finished what I was saying.

"This of your aunt is very kind, and I like that. I just like her way" Dave commended aunty Sandra.

"Yeah! She's good. If not for her, I wouldn't have been where I am now. But she gave me life and pampered me more than I ever imagine. Even now, she's still pampering me." I answered him.

"Ok, is she the one we bought the gifts for? Dave asked me.

" Yes. I will give it to her today. She gave us ours yesterday, but her husband couldn't allow us to enjoy that moment to the fullest before she came up with her brother's issue."

"You can imagine what it means to lose a brother. And that is his only brother".

"He said so. But the man is a beast. Such people don't deserve to live again".

"Jessy, I'm the visitor. Do you want to finish everything you gave to me before stop eating? Dave asked me jokingly.

" It's okay, let me take collect even if once more, but I will also sip your drink"

"I was joking. Let's finish it up" Dave said

We continued picking the chin gradually one after the other.

As we finished eating and drinking, we discussed for a little longer before I then walked him to where he parked his car.

There we did discuss the court case, and even the time we would be going. He also begged me to wear the clothes we bought together while going to the court. Since he paid for it, it would sound like wickedness. I obliged and jokingly asked him to wear the one I bought for him while going to the court. He agreed. We kissed, then he entered his car and drove home.

I continued playing with Sandra's baby until noon before Sandra and her husband came back to the house. The excitement written all over them shows that they were successful in whichever thing they went out there to do. They were even chatting like secondary school students. They never cease to surprise me. While coming home, they came with some fancy packages. They dropped one for me, then took the others to Jeff's room and that of Derrick. I opened mine to see that it was Pizza. I thanked them and then took it into my room. While coming out, I came along with the items I bought for Aunty Sandra. I presented it to her with some other oral appreciative words that accompanied it. She stood still and was comfortably glancing at me. When I was done, she hugged me and gave me a peck on the chin.

"Thank you, my daughter. I didn't expect it from you now. But God will reward you." That's what she said.

"Amen oh. And reward you as well. You're such a darling aunty" I answered her.

I then handed over her baby to her, then left them there.
