Chapter Eight:

Once AJ ran out of darts, he went with hand-to-hand combat. He went from punching people in the throat, flipping over people, breaking arms. Or even using them as human shields against the snipers. When he jumped up grabbing onto the railing that led to the second floor in the room. He flipped himself over, before grabbing the sniper by the neck with his legs and flipped them down to the ground. That guy ended up breaking his neck.

He ended up landing on his feet, when he got onto the second floor and fought the snipers on top. He could see Tomas staring at him, and he sighed, he knew he worried Tomas too much, but Tomas wasn’t exactly in a position to worry about him right now.

AJ ended up behind another sniper and put him in a choke hold before adding more pressure not bothering to stay quiet. When the guy passed out, AJ took his gun, and began shooting the others. When he killed or knocked out all the people on the second floor, he wiped his sweat. He looked at the three before seeing someone sneak up behind Tomas, AJ’s eyes widened, and he jumped back to the first floor. He didn’t want to use his gun and accidentally shoot Tomas.

“TOMAS! BEHIND YOU!” AJ yelled, and Tomas ended up getting stabbed in his shoulder. Ido and Tyler both called for Tomas’s name, and AJ saw Tomas let a small yelp as he fell to the ground. AJ used this chance to shoot the guy, who stabbed Tomas, before he could do anything else.

The guy Tomas was fighting used this chance, and stabbed Tomas in his stomach. AJ felt rage course through him, as he reached Tomas first, and shot the guy at point blank range. Instantly killing him, he kneeled, and held Tomas to his chest.

“T-Tomas… shit you are losing a lot of blood.,” AJ said, removing his shirt to try and stop the bleeding. Tomas coughed up blood, and AJ felt the tears brim his eyes,

“Don’t you dare die…” AJ growled but Tomas smiled softly and shakily raised his hand.

“Don’t cry AJ… I should have been more aware of my surroundings.”

“Don’t talk, we can get you help. IDO, TYLER WE GOT TO LEAVE NOW!” AJ said though his voice was shaky.

“I am… losing too much blood. Even if we made it to the nearest hospital… I won’t make it. He pierced a severe organ…” He said and gently cupped AJ’s cheek. AJ had anger, fear, and sadness fill his eyes.

“Don’t say that, stop talking, focus on staying awake. Please…” He said but Tomas slowly leaned up and placed his lips on AJs gently. AJ instantly kissed back, and he knew the love of his life was about to die.

“I love you Adrian…” Tomas said his eyes slowly closing, it was the first time Tomas said his real name.

“Please… Tomas… don’t do this… please. Don’t die…” AJ said at this point for once he actually showed emotion. Tomas fell silent, as he found it harder to keep his eyes open. He had a smile on his face and his hand soon fell beside him. AJ gently laid Tomas down as he let a cry out before rage filled him.

AJ saw red, the red was anything but beautiful. In fact, how could it be beautiful when its spilling out of someone’s body. Anger flashed in his brown eyes and the blood lust seeped through. His name that was called by Ido fell upon death ears as AJ no longer felt himself. He had one thing on the mind, and that was…murder. He would kill every single person that stood before him. No one, not even Ido himself could stop Adrian anymore. Blood stained his face, hands, shirt, every part of him. It was a bloodbath.

Ido and Tyler could only watch as AJ went on mass murdering spree, he killed everyone that was in the room, no everyone that was in the building. They couldn’t stop him, there was nothing they could do but stand there and watch. AJ was no longer there right now, it was some…beast. He showed no one any mercy.

When it was done, AJ fell to his knees. He didn’t process what had happened, he only knew what had happened. He felt the tears brimming his eyes and he let out a cry holding the body to his chest. Ido could only sit and watch with sorrow, he knew how much Tomas meant to AJ. AJ continued to cry burying his face into Tomas’s neck. It should have been him, not Tomas, Tomas saved AJ and now he was…gone. Adrian was completely broken; he knew death was a big part of this job. He just couldn’t accept the fact Tomas was gone, forever. Memories flashed in his mind at that moment. “AJ quit being so serious all the time, you are still young. Smile sometime.” Tomas joked wrapping an arm around his shoulders.

“Shut up Tomas.” AJ said, looking away, and that gave Tomas the chance to kiss his cheek. AJ blushed pushing Tomas away and he laughed slightly before wrapping his arms around his waist.

“So tsundere…”

“What in the hell does that even mean?”

“Seriously? I am not telling you.” He grinned and Adrian rolled his eyes shaking his head. Tomas kissed the back of Adrian’s neck, and AJ melted into Tomas’s touch.

“I love you AJ…”

“Yeah…whatever.”

“So cold….” He said and Adrian continued to look away before turning his head to kiss Tomas’s cheek, but Tomas captured Adrian’s lips in a sweet kiss.

“AJ, come lay with me…”

“Okay…” He said lying beside Tomas, and Tomas tightened his hold on Adrian. He pulled Adrian on top of him, and Adrian couldn’t help but bury his face into Tomas’s chest.

“I love you Tomas…”

“I love you too AJ…”

Ido walked up to AJ and wrapped his arms around him. AJ simply froze on the spot, he couldn’t move. Ido knew Adrian was too young for this yet, and he wasn’t surprised that AJ snapped. Ido led AJ out of the building after AJ placed his lips to Tomas’s one last time.

“We got to go AJ.” Ido said and AJ slowly got up following Ido mindlessly. He wasn’t going to recover from this at all, this was going to affect the twenty-year-old. How was he supposed to ever be able to love again?

“AJ, don’t blame yourself.” Ido said but AJ didn’t listen.

“It’s my fault, I couldn’t reach him in time. If I just was faster, I could have saved him,”

“He loved you, he would have wanted you to live.”

“I don’t deserve the love, if it’s going to end like this.”

“Don’t say that AJ.” Ido said, turning around and placing his hands-on AJ’s shoulders. Ido hugged AJ tightly, and AJ completely broke in Ido’s hold. AJ was typically so cold, and heartless seeing him like this was odd for Ido. Ido always see AJ as being the best assassin for this gang despite his age. The boss hired him as soon as he finished high school. That was when the boy was sixteen years old.
