OH, MY SWEET CAKES!
I AM SO EXHAUSTED; we've been training for hours!
I was to begin the training by running around the entire huge center after stretching as Mr.
Edwards had instructed. He pushed me to do the five laps even though I was hardly able to run on my fourth, saying that we had just started. I thought I was going to faint when he said that.
I hardly had time to recover from my run for 10 minutes before he ordered me to do 20 push-ups, taught me how to punch, fix my posture, and had me punch the air for almost an hour!
My legs and arms are dead! Even though I was unable to feel them, moving them hurt me terribly. I feel like a human jelly after our training; is this actually training or is this some kind of torture?
After nearly 5 hours, he made the decision to end our class because he could tell I was exhausted, the sky was getting dark, and I was already lying on the grass, gasping for air. He said that he was being extra gentle with me because it was only my first day of training.
I swear to my exhausted soul, this elderly man is going to murder me with exhaustion.
He then suggested that I should take a cold bath to ease muscle soreness. I only hope that my body would benefit from the cold water because if not, I'm not even sure if I'll be able to stand tomorrow.
Being my butler, Mr. Amado was always there. He seemed so concerned as he watched us, and anytime I lie down on the grass, he instantly comes over and asks if something is wrong or if I need anything, which I find humorous so I usually just laugh at him.
If only he knew how my body was already giving up when my mind told me otherwise. My father was correct; this training will not be easy.
"In the last two months of our training, we'll take a break from your martial arts training and try out a variety of weapons that are fitting for you," Mr. Edwards stated. "Tell your father I already left as I still have a meeting to catch, see you tomorrow, Lady Nyra," he said as he wore his black hat, and he just disappeared.
Oh wow...well, I guess that's all for today.
I was accompanied by Mr. Amado when we entered the castle, but I let him know that I could walk to my chamber on my own so he wouldn't have to worry about me.
I'm in my bathtub right now getting cleaned up by the maids as usual. According to my mum, we have different bathing helpers. I am really grateful that they are cleaning me because my whole body hurts and I can not move them. I also requested that they use cold water, as Mr. Edwards advised because my body is in so much pain.
"Thank you," I thanked the maids as they left my chamber.
I took out my necklace from the inside of my nightgown as I sat on my bed.
That necklace belonged to my adopted mother. I made the choice to keep it instead of burying it with her. Each time I glance at her necklace, The Deptford's village massacre comes to mind.
This necklace serves as a reminder of how wicked Adbeels are.
Every time I'm by myself, I can't help but wonder about my friend. I'm aware of how afraid Glendale must feel right now, but I'm powerless to help her because I haven't obtained enough training and, even if I had strong magic, I do not even know how to use it.
My father still has no information about her whereabouts. I couldn't stop blaming myself for everything that had happened. If I had not been in their village, they might still be alive and living peacefully in their village.
"Wait for me, Glendale; I'll get you," I lowly said as I gazed out the balcony of my chamber.
The sky has already darkened; I should be sleeping by now, but I can't, despite being exhausted.
With my lamp in my right hand, I left my room and headed to the library to read some books.
I was once taken to the castle's library by my mother, where I was encouraged to read some of her favorite novels.
The library is enormous; it resembles a large home filled with books and has a second level that is likewise stocked with literature.
I entered the library by opening the door and walking towards the bookshelves, using my lamp to provide light so that I could read the book titles.
I had no idea what to read, so I wandered around until I came across a book that piqued my interest.
The book seems so old, it looks like it has been here for decades.
I took it out from the shelf and brushed off the dust that had piled up around it as I read the title.
"Universe of The Gifted"
Just a quick chapter :)
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
