DIVIDED WE STAND...

An institution which holds books and any other form of stored information for use by the public or qualified people known as the library decorated in various colors of books covers and tall shelfs and pasted on every side stated 'silence' walked in the six. Prince now in charge of the cross motioned them to sit at back of the library without any disturbance. The absence of sound enveloped their circle, staring with utmost intensity at each of them wanting to know if all were prepared for what was about to be revealed. A big black book labeled secrets of the century crusted in gold and a touch of red faced the six as they sat facing one another. Prince opted for the book because he noticed Rex always coming to library to read it and since he and Zander speculated his relation to the cross it was only right for them to read it.

"Any other fight about to take place?" Prince asked not wanting what happened in the café to repeated itself. Thankfully, before he and Zander could conclude their plan, Braun was able to solve the issue going on between his brother and Nancy. Not hearing a response and taking a quick glance at both parties, he continued

"We are about to be part of a mystery that might never be solved which means no more child's play. Do we all understand?" he said as he put a steel on his voice. They shrugged in response, murmuring okay as he they thought he sounded like a boss giving command to his workers. His gaze shifted to the book lying on the table. He opened each page carefully examining each with his eyes squinted as if searching for something small. Benjamin placed his hand on the book and dragged it to also help search. The other followed, gathering behind him also check. After a while he stopped.

"I'm sorry, what exactly are we looking for?" He asked already confused

"Any information about the cross which I was doing till you…"

"… mmm" Benjamin cuts him off, waving his hand in the air.

180 MINTUES LATER

"Three hours had passed and still we haven't found anything on the cross. The big book is obviously not going to give us answers because Rex is not involved as we thought….no, let me rephrase that….as Prince thought. Now as I wallow in self-pity and in great hunger, I sit on the chair awaiting my turn to find a clue about a cross. I think the suggestion now is to wait for something to happen" The group stared at Zander wandering what she was doing as she rolled on both side on the table.

"I got it" Nicolette said with glimmer in eyes. They all rushed over to see what she was pointing at. A hint of disappointment covered their faces as she was pointing at a diagram of a cross.

"that's just a picture" Nancy remarked as she gnashed her teeth in anger ready to pounce on her if anymore words dropped from her mouth

"Of the cross"

"Yes. A picture of the cross" Braun said hitting the picture multiple times as the word came

"I thought we've gone over this picture twice before" Benajmin commented tiredly

"We have?" Nicolette asked again

"no. we've been playing find that picture" Nancy replied sarcastically with a tone anger

"We have?" hearing no response "oh well...I just keep the clue to myself" she said nonchalantly

"Clue?" they asked in unison

"Yes. Look" she motioned for them to come close which they did "see, there is something written on the cross. "Divided we stand and…" Prince removes the cross from his pocket as he searched for the inscribed words knowing he had seen it before. He found it on the cross and knew they just found their first clue.

"Divided we stand and…" Benjamin said and then suddenly the cross started to shake and Prince ran outside to avoid unwanted attention. They followed him outside to the bare field. He threw the cross on the ground as they watched in anticipation what the cross was about to do. The light began to shine deeper and the clouds grew darker. A quick thunder hit the ground and a massive rain poured down from the sky. The cross lifted itself up as thunder omitted from it. It shook vigorously making the six run to take cover. A moment later it stopped and a huge hole was created on the field. They peaked each from their view saw the coast was clear. Carefully they drew closer to the cross-releasing heat on the ground. They began to see themselves in the same spot as a woman was with them. It was like a holographic image of them running as a flashback, more like a trance. They saw a people mourning as they walked down to the cemetery holding hands. They saw countless lifeless bodies on the ground as the priest prayed that people should stop dying out of nothing. They suddenly appeared in front of people gathering where a seer was prophesizing the future to the village, claiming that in two days' time something would happen. The people searched for answer that was before them. It seemed as though that time moved faster as two days reached and seven crystal balls appeared. As the world developed in technology, so did the crystals which later evolved to crosses

One day a fight began to occur in the family led by a man in dark cloak, his face not visible enough to be identified as he wore his hood, ordered his men to burn down the town. People ran for their dear lives as hid in different places. The man in dark cloak reached the center of the village as that was where the crosses were laid to help protect the town. Suddenly the six found themselves in front of the man. They were no longer like a holographic image but instead they were present. The man stared at them in shock as he too wasn't expecting to see them. The light shined from the cross as they began to separate. As the cross slowly detached itself from each other, one by one they landed on the six. Without being in control of themselves, they approached the man preparing to attack. Something that looked like a round section appeared under their feet like a portal, swallowed them whole. As they fell through, the circular opening seemed to be slightly distorted and then they found themselves back in the field holding the cross that landed on them. They lied on the ground breathing heavily trying to understand what just happened. But something was clear, where is the last cross?
