Chapter XVIII: Heart wrenching betrayal

The way back to the estate. The snowflakes hitting the three's faces, the cold water running down their face once they melt.

Some snowflakes clinging to their new destination's eyelashes, coating them pure white before occasionally being wiped away by soft cloth of the robes. It was cold, but a charming cold, the winter days making anyone feel more comfortable and relaxed.

The shaking of the carousel on the snow and ice covered cobblestone road reflected the horse's manes beautifully, enchanting anyone who would watch them fly in the air from the fast pace. Iseul watched it, slowly feeling a little sleepy once a few hours had passed.

Thankfully, their travel towards and away the get together was safe, no bandits to overwhelm them on their way.
