"You are not." He says, voice coming out groggy as he feels his throat dry as if he hasn't spoken for days.
"I am not what?" Celeste asks, the hurt that brimming in her crystally blue orbs breaking Zelian's heart. His alpha howls violently in his head, clawing from inside to surface.
"You are not a nuisance to me, Celeste. I told you." He says, his chest heaving up and down from the raging breaths he takes. He clenched his hands into a fist, trying hard not to let his alpha take control of him. Because he knows if he lets it happen, Celeste won't be able to leave this courtroom.
"Then what am I? I am just someone who you want out of here." Zelian's eyes go wide at her words. What is she talking about?
"Are you even hearing yourself? Why would I want you out of here?" He asks, disbelief oozing out of his voice.
