Victor stared at Gery. Various aids were installed on his body to support the man's life. But unlike his sad state, Gery was still conscious and was looking at him calmly. Of course, Victor probably wouldn't have been allowed to enter Gery's treatment room if the man hadn't called him himself beforehand. The atmosphere in his organization was tense after that incident. Once again, their organization's top brass had to be injured because they were trying to save Mia.

"Don't look at me like that. Even though I look like this, I'm still alive and can bother your life like before."

Gery tried to joke when he spoke in a hoarse voice to Victor. He still remembered how devastated Victor was when the man saved Gery from danger. The man almost shot Ray if Ray's parents hadn't held him back. Funny indeed. But only at times like that did Gery finally realize that Victor had considered him as a brother all this time.
