Because it’s still early in the morning, I decided to take a walk going to school. Sir Michael told me that Earl can drive me to school but I refused. I just do that if I’ll be late at school. Besides, walking in the morning can be a good exercise and I miss doing this.
After less than twenty minutes, I’m already at the street where my school at and it’s just a few walks to go for me to arrive at school. After a while, I stopped walking when a group of guys approached me.
“Hey, you,” one guy called me.
“You’re Morgenstern’s friend, right?” he asked in a feisty manner.
I wrinkled my forehead, “Yeah, why? Who are you anyway?”
He laughed wickedly, “You didn’t remember me?” then he walked towards me.
“It’s just me and my group that you fought with Morgenstern inside our campus!” he gritted while widening his eyes at me.
I thought for a sec while staring at his face. “You’re Marco? That guy who assaulted Kiara?”
He smirked, “Glad you remembered.”
“So, what do you want?” I scoffed.
“You’re really that stubborn, huh?”
I was shocked when he suddenly grabbed my arm and held it harshly. It’s quite painful and I’m forcing myself to take it away from him.
“We’ll take you down first before that Morgenstern jerk!” he yelled. I noticed that he looked at me from toe to head.
He grinned, “Not bad. You’re quite pretty. Listen, I won’t hurt you if you’ll agree to be with me. I’ll make sure to make you happy,” he stated with his voice sounded like trying to seduce me and it made me feel disgusted and want to throw up.
I gave him a stare like I could see and curse his soul. “You’re really a stupid asshole, huh?”
He smirked wickedly, “So, you’re choosing to get hurt, huh? Fine, we’ll break your bones first so you can’t resist anymore,” then he aggressively let go of my arm and gave his men a signal.
I set aside my bag on the ground when they started to scatter around me so I can fight back at them.
“What do you think you’re doing to my vice-captain?”
Our attention caught by that someone who suddenly spoke. I was surprised to see who it was.
“Captain Steve!”
He’s the captain of group 11 where I belong in Jutsu organization.
“Aren’t you ashamed of yourselves? You’re six men who would go against a girl? This fight is obviously unfair! All of you are cowards if that’s the case! Shame! Dorks! Coward shitheads!” Captain provoked them and the entire members of Jutsu are with him laughing out loud.
“Who are you calling dorks and cowards, huh?!” Marco growled.
And when the two groups started to fight, someone grabbed my arm in the middle of the chaos.
“Evan!”
“Let’s go, Roma. Just leave those jerks to our co-members. Come on,” he told me while pulling me away from the chaos.
Yeah, right. Jutsu organization is not just a group of amazing DOTA players but also hard-headed gangsters who are used in gang fights.
After Evan and I entered the school gate, we stopped at the waiting area for a while and I noticed how he chased his breath.
“Relax, bro. We didn’t run that far,” I joked.
“Stop bragging to me about having a strong stamina,” he laughed.
“Good thing we came on time,” Evan blurted.
I wrinkled my forehead, “On time?”
“I am the one who called for Captain’s help. I told him that you’re in danger and you need some back-up. I didn’t expect that he’s going to bring the whole squad. But I think it’s better.”
“How did you find me there?”
“Your fiancé wannabe called me.”
I raised my brows, “Caden?”
“Yep. He told me that Marco and his group will be here to find you and get his revenge. He can’t escape from the university because they have some important thing to do. And thank goodness that we came on time.”
How did Caden know that Marco will be here to get his revenge on me?

My classes were finally over and I’m picking up my things when I heard someone called me.
“Roma!”
When I looked at the doorway, I saw Caden there. I hanged my bag on my shoulder and came in to him.
He held me on my shoulders, “Are you okay? Did you get hurt? What Marco did to you?”
Caden bombarded me with questions and his face looked incredibly worried that made me feel confused.
“Nothing. I’m okay,” I answered.
Someone suddenly pushed Caden away that made him stepped backwards.
“Hey, you. If you’re going to make a chaos, don’t drag other people!” Evan yelled.
“What if I don’t have anyone to call for help and there’s something happened to Roma? What are you going to do, huh?” he added.
“H-Hey, Evan. That’s fine. We know that I can fight back to those jerks, right?” I meddled.
Evan looked at me and he looks pissed. “Even so, Roma. Yes, you’re strong but you’re still a girl,” he stated then looked again at Caden.
Caden bowed his head, “I’m sorry. It’s not my intention to drag Roma into this chaos that I made. I assure you that this will never happen again.”
“Just make sure of that. Roma is my close friend for three years and once she caught in danger again because of you, I don’t care who you are anymore,” Evan warned him before leaving.

Caden was driving right now going to the mansion. He’s just quiet all the time like he’s thinking about something deep.
“Good thing that I’ve got your friends’ contact numbers,” he said all of a sudden.
“Huh?”
“AJ, Jeyra, Josephine, and Evan. I asked for their numbers days ago. Who would have thought that it will be useful today?” Caden explained and forced a laugh.
“Someone told me about Marco’s plan to get his revenge on you today. That’s why I called Evan to ask some help and he didn’t disappoint me.”
Then he looked at me, “I’m really sorry. From now on, I’ll always keep you safe, Roma. I promise,” he said with a forced smile.
I felt a bit confused because I feel like there’s something weird going on with Caden. But I just ignored it and shrugged it off.
