Seeing her shed a single tear, father leans in and gives mother a chaste kiss on the lips. Seeing that mother wasn't in any danger, the dragons begin to slowly back away from the two.

After a bit of walking, we finally reach what looks like mother's living area. As mother and father begin preparing dinner together, hiccup goes on and on about the changes berk has gone through while she was gone. While they were catching up, I was messaging Astrid through the system.

I ask Astrid, '{Finally got a moment to my self over here. How are things on your end?}'

She responds by saying, '{I followed your plan and got us captured. Drago is heading towards you guys, we should be arriving shortly. Please tell me you have a plan for this!}'

Chuckling at her, I say, '{Of course I do. Don't you trust me?}'

Worriedly, she responds, '{You know I trust you. It's just that I'm a little worried. Drago has something pulling his boats and it seems pretty powerful. I know how strong you are, but are you sure you can handle it?}'

Immediately, I say, '{I can. It's only a bewilderbeast. I can handle something like that.}'

She responds, '{A bewilderbeast?! You mean the big dragon that is suppose to be the alpha species?! Are you nuts?!}'

Smiling, I say, '{Don't worry. I have it all under control. Gotta go. Love you!}'

Not waiting for her response, I cut the connection, thinking to myself, 'She's gonna kill me when she sees me.'

Watching my parents begin dancing and singing together, I finally make my decision. I ask my system, 'System? What do I need to do to get my full dragon transformation?'

[Answer]

[You need to @#$%$#@#$#@#$#.]

[ERROR]

[ER&OR]

[ER$%#$%#OR]

[An@#$ER%#N@T!FO#$ND%.]

Without changing my facial features, I ask in a panicked way, 'System?!'

Instead of a response from the system, I hear a deep and raspy voice boom in my head, saying, '{You do not have the right to become a dragon boy!}'

Hearing the voice, I ask, '{Then how do I get that right! I kind of need it right now!}'

In response, the voice says, '{You must prove to me that you are ready! Enter the domain of the dragon if you wish to prove your worth!}'

As soon as the voice finished speaking, I laid down and blacked out. Opening my eyes, I find myself in a dimly lit cave. Trying to steady my breathing, I look around. Focusing on the only thing in front of me, I look up to see an ancient dragon, its scales shimmering in hues of deep purple and gold. The dragon's eyes, a mirror of my own, glow intensely as it analyzes me.

His voice reverberates through my mind, saying, "You are not ready."

Angered by this stupid dragon, I whisper, "No. I am ready. I have faced many foes in my life, and I have honed my strength and spirit. In what way am I not ready?"

Looking me in the eye, the dragon says, "Prove to me the strength of your spirit, the purity of your intentions, and the depth of your courage. Only then will I deem you ready."

My eyes snapped to meet the dragon's.

In an angry voice, I say, "Prove it to you? I don't need to prove anything to anyone! I am Finrisulfir Horrendous Haddok! My pride will not allow me to prove anything to you, because you are the one who isn't worthy! You haven't even seen what I can do! How could you possibly know if I am ready or not?"

Hearing my statement, the dragon blasts a spout of bright orange fire at me in anger. In response, I take a deep breath in and spit the fire back at him in an azure purple color. Seeing the flames coming back at him, the dragon attempts to do the same as I did, only to end up burning his mouth and throat in the process. The dragon recoiled, smoke trailing from its nostrils, its eyes wide with a mixture of surprise and pain. For a moment, the clearing was silent, the only sound being the crackling of the dissipating flames. Then, a low growl rumbled from deep within the dragon's chest.

The dragon said, "You are bold, Finrisulfir Horrendous Haddok, but boldness alone is not nearly enough."

I stood my ground, my breath still heavy from my anger, and say, "I've faced many trials, fought countless battles, and I have endured through them all! I am not here to beg for your approval. I am here to claim what is rightfully mine!"

The dragon's eyes narrowed, and he sighed, saying, "Very well. You may have what you seek, but you must always remember this. Fire alone does not make a dragon! You must demonstrate wisdom and restraint, as well as strength and courage!"

I nodded, sensing a shift in the dragon's demeanor. "That was always apart of who I am. If that's all, then I'll be taking that transformation."

Before I could thank the dragon, I blacked out once again. When I opened my eyes, I was met with an ice pillar about to fall on top of me.

In an exasperated tone, I say, "Seriously? This is what I wake up to?"

Rolling out of the way, I stand and spread my wings. Flying out of the small cave, I am met with the enemy bewilderbeast taking control of Toothless and Darkwing. Looking a little ways away from them I could see father picking up speed and about to jump in front of the two plasma blasts. Without a second thought, I beat my wings as hard as I could and fly in an upside down arc. The G forces pulling against me as I nose dive straight at the ground. Seeing the two dragons charging up their respective plasma blasts, I tuck my wings in to try and get rid of some of the wind resistance.

I think, 'Come on! Come on! Get there!'
