I walked faster than I've ever done and tried dodging him, wishing that I'd never done that on the bus.
"Hey Jaselle, wait up. Why are you walking so fast?" Jason echoed behind me. He suddenly talked again after seeing how anxious and flustered I was. I felt even more embarrassed with him chasing after me and quicked my footsteps even more. We eventually broke out in a run and he stood in front of me, with his arms spread out, indicating that I should stop escaping. I lowered my head as I didn't want him to see my face all flushed.
However, he just had to lift my face with his soft gentle hands and make me flush even more. " Why's your face so red? Are you having a fever? Let me take you home!" He sounded really anxious and caring, displaying a manly aura. I pushed away his hand touching my forehead and ran off in the direction of my home. He was left standing there, without a farewell.
I ran back straight into my room and had my back on the door. I touched my face and felt it burned. I looked into the mirror and saw the redness suffused all the way down to my neck and chest. I really thought I was sick...
--Jason's house--
"Mum! I'm home!"
"Oh my dear boy, you're finally home! How's school today?"
" It was okay.."
After talking with his mum for a while, Jason headed back to his room. He ran into the bathroom and splashed water furiously onto his face as he flashed back to the scene on the bus. He burned tremendously and felt light headed. "What was that? Why did I think of Jaselle and become flushed all over? What the heck is wrong with me?!?"
Jason was confused, flustered and disorganised. He didn't know what to do and he headed for his bed, hugged his pillow and tried to reason things out. Soon, he sank into deep thoughts and started questioning everything.
