Chapter 35: A Choice to Make

Oma's home...

"I am glad you are back home dear, I am so glad; dad called to see how you were doing" Oma's mum happily said "You could have waited for me to come pick you up" she said again

"I know you will be busy mum, my friend brought me home" She said to her mum

"What friend?" Linda asked coming out of the room with a smile on her face

"Linda, you are here" She said in surprise 

"Yes, i didn't get to travel yesterday like I informed you on phone" Linda responded

"Hi" Erica said coming inside after getting tired of waiting for Oma outside more than the minutes she was supposed to wait.

Oma inhaled and exhaled when everything isn't going as planned as Linda's presence ruined it.

"Erica" Linda called when she had seen her "You..."

"She is... I am glad you both meet again" Oma interrupted her

"You both knew each other?" Oma's mother asked

"Yes, they met at school last two months before the graduation party" Oma said again as Erica briefly smiled.

Linda who was a bit confused at the whole situation had no choice but to play along with them.

"Nice meeting you madam" Erica said 

"You too, thank you for getting Oma back home" her mother thanked and Erica just smiled at her

"I feel like i have seen you" Oma's mum said trying to think,

Oma Quickly gave a quick stare at Erica when she had said that

"I am hungry mum" Oma interrupted her thoughts.

"Have a rest; i will get you and Erica food" her mum said looking overwhelmed that Oma was back after spending a week at the hospital, although she will still be going to the hospital for checkup but she wanted to come back home.

"Join me" her mother said dragging Linda with her

Oma waved her head in excitement but was suddenly alerted when Erica moved closer to her

"They don't probably know that i am a mermaid and have actually shared a kiss with you" Erica whispered into her ear

"That was just a gesture, oh my God; my life is already crazy enough, now I have to figure out how to tell Linda about you all over again" Oma said in frustration.

Lava walked into the company followed by his two new bodyguards; it have been three weeks he visited per his father's orders, this time; he had promised himself to do whatever he wants and not let his father make decisions for him...

"Good afternoon Mr. Lava" his manager greeted

"It's been a long time we saw you at the company" she said again following him back-to-back

"Yes Jenna, I am here now" Lava said to her "what do I miss?" he asked her

"Nothing big because the mayor came over here few times, we were just not used to your father you know; we need a very handsome face around here" his manager teased causing Lava to grin

"Now you will get to see this handsome face every day" Lava said gently to her and watched her blush. "I will be at my office now to look at the book record for everything that have been done so far at my absence" he told her

"I will get you your coffee then" Jenna said, with that she left him to get the coffee.

Lava laughed when he saw that some of his workers had been looking at him from their desk, looking all overwhelmed at his presence there. He walked inside leaving his bodyguard stand watch outside his office.

He looked around his office while adjusting his ties "Let's get started" he said to himself.

Jenna walked inside his office looking like she had been taken back by something

"Where is the Coffee Jenna?" Mr. Lava curiously asked as he had detected that something might be wrong judging from her facial expression.

Jenna quickly reached for the Tv remote to switch on the Tv news for Mr. Lava to see himself.

Tv news...

" Not long ago, a strange video surfaced online causing fear among the people, the video contains a very dangerous fight between three figures in human and a half creature form; some say it might be an online prank but that very building had been identified. Traces of blood were found at the identified building with no trace of anybody dying nor any solid thing that can be used as evidence, what exactly is going on? 

The people have call on the mayor to address this very situation as it is getting out of hand. An unidentified source has also posted online that it would be cool if they were Aliens; this post has dragged in more people than expected who are supporting him why the others are reckoning that it might have been a sign that the world is coming to an end.

Lava bites his lips knowing fully well that everything is now getting out of hand. 

At the other side, Erica and Oma slightly stare at each other uncomfortably after watching the news.

Mr. Charles light his cigarette after watching the viral news, he puffed the smokes up and looked at Olga who was sitting across the table and feeding herself with raw fishes. Some of the maids indoor with them frown their faces in disgust.

" So, what's the next move? you are the brain right now" Mr. Charles said looking at her 

"Do you think the news is a good thing for me?" Olga asked him

"I don't think it is, everyone is going to be on your matter now; it would be very risky for you if the government actually starts making their own plans" Mr. Charles responded

"So, what do you suggest I do?" Olga asked him

"Going back to the sea is the easiest way out" Mr. Charles said to her as he puffs another smoke up.

"Do you know what I think?" she asked him

"No" he responded adjusting his position to hear what she has to say

Olga speedily draws his chair closer that he faces her and smells the blood on her hand.

"I think it is going to be fun, I should punish everyone for the Queen since I am going to kill Erica anyway, that way; the Queen will bring me to light as their hero" Olga said with a creepy smile on her face that left Mr. Charles heart beating out of his chest.

"All you have to do is clean it up and make name for yourself" she said again laughing wickedly.
