So how long does this take ? " I watched mum pace around the kitchen with an apron around her neck. These days she is very busy because the business is planning to open another branch in another country.

" Two weeks is too much. " She answered and then sighed. She looked so tired and she wasn't even getting enough sleep. At least my nightmares have reduced or else mum would be more stressed

" I guarantee you that it will be a success. We can try to hurry the process and end it in a week " she said still pacing around the kitchen.

" Yes sir.. okay sir. " She said and looked at me. I gave her a small smile which she returned back.

" No problem sir. I will have to speak to my daughter about it " she said stretching the last sentence as she stared at me again.

She put the phone down and then brings the box of pizza we had ordered earlier to the dinner table. She gives me a slice, takes a slice and then sits at the table with a tired look.

" What's up mum ? " I said

" Nothing much. Tell me about school " she said and then forced a smile.

" School is just school. It's the normal routine " I answered honestly before cutting a part of my pizza and taking a bite.

" No more dates or you know the normal stuffs teenagers your age do ? " She asked.

" Well Shawn asked me out to another date " I said

" Wow the second date.. isn't that nice " she beamed and I nodded my head.

" Wait, aren't you happy ? " She asked me

" I am " I stated.

" Don't you like him ? " She asked

" I do, he is a nice guy and he reads books too and he is cute and all " I started

" But you don't love him " mum finished for me

" I don't think I do " I answered.

" Then why do you agree to go on dates with him ? " She asked

" I don't know, because he asks nicely and I see the way he becomes happy. " I said

" You don't want to break his heart " she said

" I don't mum " I said with a frown.

" Oh honey, it's nice that you care but which do you think is also better for Shawn ? " She asked

" What do you mean ? " I asked

" Do you think going on dates is all Shawn wants. What if he wants more, like the relationship and all " she said

" I didn't think of that. I " I stammered

" It's fine honey, no rush you are still very young " she said and stood up from the table, I looked at her plate, oh wow she finished her food already.

" It's fine and it's okay to be confused about things like this. I'm just glad you are making progress and opening up to people. You have enough time in the world to figure out what you want. And it's okay to make mistakes too because you will learn from them " she said and smiled.

" I just want you to be happy, nothing more honey " she said and dropped her plate into the sink

" I will do the dishes after I finish my food. You can go ahead and rest " I said

" Thank you honey. " She said and walked back to the table.

" Goodnight baby " she said and kissed my forehead. " I love you " she added

" I love you too mum " I said and smiled, she smiled back at me before going up the stairs to her room, I know she was tired but I also know something is bothering her because the apron is actually still around her neck.

I quickly finished my dinner, I did the dishes and then went upstairs to my room too. A lot on my mind that night on how I was going to act at school the next day.

" I told you to stop dressing like an homeless freak to school " Dena said as soon as she spotted me coming towards her

" And I told you to come off all the leather. You look like a gangstar " I countered

" I think I look okay " she said and looked herself over.

" I look okay too " I said with a smile.

" Fine you are off the hook today but tomorrow you will never wear this sorry excuse of a dress. In fact I'm going to throw out all your dresses this afternoon after school. You can't wear what you don't have " she said and then I rolled my eyes.

" Yes mum. " I said and she laughed.

" Who did you get paired with for your science project ? " I asked her.

" Ugly betty " she said with a disgusted look. I chuckle

" It's gets better, you will be fine. " I said.

" You are so lucky I'm jealous, how did you get your crush " she sighed.

" Well I think you should shoot your shot. " She added

" How do I do that ? " I asked her. " Have you met me ? " I asked

" Yes I have met you " she chuckled " and I know you have zero social life and that's why you have me, together we will rule the world. " She stated.

" Now stop drooling and let's get to class, we have a plan to scheme out for Bryce. Once we are done, he will never forget your name " she said and then pulled my hand as he hurried to our first class.

" Good morning " I smiled as I gave alex a hug the next day I'm school. Today is currently Tuesday, can someone tell me why this week is super slow.. but I don't care, as usual I'm rooting for Friday, weekends and no more parties.. ever.

" Good morning to you too betty, you look like you are in a really good mood " she stated with a grin.

" Well I like your dress " I point to the lemon coloured short gown she had on and a jean jacket that passed her bust area.

She turned around for me with a laugh escaping her lips. Then finally turned back to me.

" Nice " someone beat me to it, I already know how it is because alex is currently standing like a street pole, not moving and her mouth is wide open, I hope she doesn't drool.

" Good morning betty " he said and finally came out of Alex's back

" Morning cole " I said and cross my hands over my chest.

" Nice look you have today " he said

" It's nothing much, just a casual outfit I guess. " I said with a smile.

" But still you are smiling so much today, any news I should know about ? " He asked me with a smirk

" Nope, nothing new. Just happy that I'm not dead. " I said and he nodded.

" Please just help me shake her back into reality " I told cole as I pointed to Alex. He chucked and then he blew air into her ear.

" What the fuck " she cursed and rubbed her left ear with her palm before shooting me a death glare.

" I didn't do it. "I said. She turned to Cole's direction with a smile and batted her eyelashes at him and I roll my eyes.

" Good morning Cole " she said with a wide grin. I guess the awkwardness is gone between them, I can't help but wonder what happened for them to be back to normal.. I'm curious

" Alex " he said and smiled.

" I will just leave you guys to do whatever you are doing. I'm going to find my first class " I said but no reply, I think they are lost into each other's eyes.

I sigh and walked down the hallways where I see more than five more couples kissing, locking hands and laughing and trust me I couldn't help but feel more lonely. Why the hell did I come to school so early this morning again. Oh yes mum had an early meeting, didn't want me to take the bus, to cut the long story short, she drove me to school and then I met Alex at the entrance of the school. Now that I think of it, Cole is too early too and he doesn't even come to school until a minute to the first bell. I think they have something planned, those slimy things.

I entered the calculus class and then I sat at the roll after the first roll before dropping my bag on the table, with my earphones in my ear, I played my favourite playlist that's filled with my awesome tunes but currently I'm listening to "young in love by Ingrid Michaelson "..

My phone beeped and I looked at the name. Adam, my heart instantly starts beating twice the normal pace as I opened the message.

Good morning elizabeth, I just wanted to ask how your lines are going. Are they going well?. Uhmm I'm kind of lost, what energy does romeo need to portray.

I read it over and over again with a giggle before I proceeded to type.

Good morning Adam, I haven't started writing anything yet on juliet's lines but just go with love then death. That's our scene, they each professed their love to each other with a full heart and then promise each other eternal love and then the death scene. You can do it, it's not that hard.

I sent it and then waited for his reply. I just hope I didn't send him away with my long reply. I'm not a fan of texts too but what can I do. Plus I really want to make up with Adam.

I pressed the send button then put my phone back on the table, tapping away as I increased the volume of the song I was listening to.

" Next class I am going to hold a test " our calculus teacher stated before picking up his book.

The class groaned aloud

" So I want you guys to prepare well for the test next week. To help you prepare, all our other classes are cancelled for this week." He stated and everyone's started mumbling.

" I will see you next week Tuesday first period. No lateness aloud, no excuses, no sickness and no copying or you get three weeks detention .. good day " he said and then he left the class.

Everyone was cheering from different angles of the class because of our free period this week. I packed my calculus textbook and my notes before leaving the class for my next class. My literature class and today we have our test. Good thing I studied last week.

I made my way down the hall to my next class when my phone beeped again.

I sent it and sadness engulfed me. I still can't stop my heart from beating so much because damn I really hoped those messages was for me. Damn I think I really love adam and I'd be damned because I really want to be juliet....
