Ten Year-Old Physician

Unshaken by the incident that has just occurred, Peony placed the blue flame and a black chess piece onto the table before him onto the table and continued, "Then, I shall leave Ortho with you for a while. This chess piece contains the blot needed for him for the next three days. Send someone for me if you require more blot for him."

"Princess Peony..." The tallest of the three stepped forward hesitantly, "This incident..."

"Stop." Peony stopped them firmly losing the softness in her voice from before as she continued resolutely to her teachers, "What has occurred will stay within the walls of this building as stated by the owner of this residence. Should word of this leak out... The owner of this residence will undoubtedly be most disappointed by the lack of security, would they not?"

"We shall see it done." The elderly man nodded firmly.

"Lady Zigvolt." Peony requested softly, "May you have the servants ready their rooms? I have already received approval for their stay by the owner of this residence this morning."

"Very well."

Her teacher left the room briefly before returning shortly after, "It is done. Shall we take our leave?"

Hearing this, the three ladies secretly breathed in a sigh of relief as the lean one carefully walked over to carefully take the soul within her hand and the chess piece with the other.

Peony then continued unfazed by the aura of the man before her, "The situation must be resolved within two weeks. So, I'm afraid I can only allot four days for you to decide. No more."

"Understood." The three ladies responded curtly.

"If you have anymore questions to be asked, you may ask for my presence. Until you are ready, the servants shall remain outside the door. If you wish to return to Isle of Lament, then you may." Peony responded before curtsying again, "Good bye."

The group paused in bewilderment as they watched her leave at a steady pace out with her teacher.

Once gone from the room, the short one of the three ladies hurriedly pulled the head back onto his seat will in a daze and the red flames of his hair finally start to return to a casual blue. However, the hard breathing did not diminish. The elderly remained in the room with a scowl clearly displeased, but unable to say anything. He remained in his position on the sofa until the head was finally able to look up again with pair of glossy eyes. He rose up firmly before suddenly swaying back a little.

However, a hand grasped his arm firmly before helping him back on the sofa. Surprised, he looked up to find that it was the leader of the three from the start and the elderly man that had helped him.

Taking a deep breath to clear his mind, the head turned to the ladies and said firmly, "Ortho..."

"He's here, sir..." The lean woman stepped over holding the flame and chess piece before them.

The head stared upon the flame in deep thoughts. No one knew what was going through the mind of the renowned stern leader of the S.T.Y.X corporation. However, fortunately, nothing happened as he looked away and stared back down onto the ground with his entwined fingers supporting his forehead like a bridge.

"How much does the Queen know of this, General Zigvolt?" He questioned hesitantly.

"Her majesty. All of this is new to everyone here aside from the existence of the wandering soul." The old fashioned general responded firmly, "That would be Lord Zigvolt. I am no longer a general anymore. I've retired and am only an official."

"Is the officials of Briar Valley always so relaxed?" The head questioned carefully.

"The princess of Fairy Kingdom had already requested her majesty to reside in the castle temporarily and for all of us to not raise a hand." Lord Zigvolt stated bluntly, "That there would be a high chance of... 'retaliation'."

"So, she knew this would happen, then."

"She had it all prepared as she said the situation will be a very delicate one." Lord Zigvolt responded when there was a knock on the door, "She is a direct one, is she not?"

A maid stepped in with tea as he continued, "The princess is bold and willing to talk of the elephant in the room. However, this can go in many ways. Yet, she already knew of this too."

The head breathed a small sigh as he nodded reluctantly, "The S.T.Y.X corporation does not side with any sides in politics but that of the Jupiter Enterprise... Who knew that there would be a young prodigy outside of their reaches?"

He chuckled bitterly before he sighed, "However, she made an error. If she wanted access to Tartarus, she could always use my son as leverage."

"That was what her majesty and I have said to her as well." The old general responded with a frown, "However, she rejected it."

"She rejected it?" The head raised a brow.

"The meeting is publicly known to be between the leaders of the S.T.Y.X organization and the Princess of the Fairy kingdom. However, the talk is anything but that." He recounted with a frown, "It would be that between a father and a doctor."

"A father and a doctor." The head raised a brow.

"The princess has mastered the alchemy of the Fairy Kingdom, the Scalding Sands, Briar Valley, and Rose Kingdom. However, this is not known across the world because she has kept this under the wraps. She has also mastered the knowledge of medical practices and has recently earned the respect of an old master of acupuncture all at a young age. Yet, she is the one who chooses her decisions as though she was studying herbology." He huffed in dismay, "Yet, despite all this, she chooses silence. You are the first political client she has in many years."

"When was the last time she had treated someone?" The head frowned quietly.

"The last patient was someone of the Jupiter Enterprise six years ago." Lord Zigvolt huffed a laugh in irony, "To think her next patient six years later would be someone who also work under the Olympus corp."

"Jupiter Enterprise?" The head lifted his head.

"Six years ago, the Jupiter Enterprise wished to form political ties with the Fairy kingdom after their announcement to reopen themselves to the outside world within the top circle." Old Zigvolt responded with a frown, "So, they wished to engage their eldest son with her at that time. However, that boy, who is three years older than her, already has a lover he had yet to introduce to his family. At a party to introduce the princess, the boy was poisoned by one of his uncles and they tried to accuse her. I'm certain you are familiar with this incident?"

A poisoning incident? Six years ago?

It was well known within the Olympus corp. that the Jupiter Enterprise had borne a child of great strengths and heart followed by the adoration of many others. However, due to the massive number of attention he received, he also carried the jealousy of all those around him. One day, during a spring six years ago, there was talk of him having an engagement with a selfless young princess of another kingdom within the Isle of Lament. It was the one incident which his wife and him had been forced to take part in but left as their eldest son suddenly disappeared from the party.

"How could I not? I was also present during that incident but left due to personal affairs."

When their family returned, his family was made a suspect of poisoning the son and heir of the Jupiter Enterprise! The traumatic experience further encouraged their family from taking part in social events again. What saved them that year was a physician brought by Briar Valley's royal family.

Suddenly, he gasped upon recalling this, "You mean to say that she was the one who uncovered the prescription and ingredients to the poison?!"

"Not only did she uncovered the ingredients, but she saved a family from further persecution and sent them home to recover." The general frowned, "When it was announced that they would grant her any wish as though they were gods, she used this wish to grant his lover an engagement with their son. She even helped these lovers prepare for the hardships ahead before this event! Yet, the Jupiter Enterprise still tried to engage her to their son. The princess then singlehandedly resolved the dissatisfaction with one sentence and remuneration for the herbs used to save their son. This finally shut them up. From the beginning to the end, the incident was resolved by herself. However, she chooses to keep herself hidden from the public eye."

The general sighed, "Even now, she tells me to remain here and give you a hand."

Hearing all this, the father held a breath and closed his eyes. The three fates behind him only remained silent solemnly as their leader widen her eyes in surprise as though a thought dawned upon her.
