End of the Day

"Hans told me you were so busy today that you skipped lunch," Xavier stated when he came back to the office at 5pm.

Yuki was beaming with pride when she trotted over to her boss desk and show him the new meeting schedule she has painstakingly redo whole day. Xavier took over the tablet in her hand and browse through before complementing,"Good job but remember that you might need to change it all over again if something important crops up particularly in relation to Emperor Empire."

This is the first shopping mall chain acquisition by Lee Group of Investment. It was Chris and Steven idea, for some reason it is appealing to our dads too so the project was kinda force onto me. Not that I complaint because I love working and simply thrill at the sense of satisfaction one get when one successfully gain his favourite toy; be it a piece of land or airport tender. "Veni, Vidi, Vici" my favourite quote from my idol, Julius Ceasar, "I came, I saw, I conquered".

Emperor Empire seems to be the best choice in terms of its locations and prominent image in the country. Recent economic recession has left it unstable as their management is too old fashion leading to a saturated market. It is too big piece of a pie for other investor to be able to pump in more resources for an overhaul. As long as we change the leadership to offer more trendy upbeat brands and products increase in clientele is guarantee. This put me into another thought of the ideal candidate but I need to smooth out a few details to make it work otherwise I am going to be faced with great resistance.

Yuki added,"Before I forget, a lady name Ashley called. She mentioned that your presence at the movie promotion PR campaign next Friday for our biggest production this year will seal the success of the release. Will you be able to attend?"

Xavier couldn't let go of such opportunity,"Yes, it is our entertainment wing biggest production of the year. Please get yourself ready for Friday evening before 6:30pm to go with me".

Yuki prompted,"Sir.....me?"

Xavier replied,"Yes, this kind of function requires me to attend with a partner. Aren't you my personal assistant? It's part of your job to attend events and business dinner with me. Try to memorised the attendance list and as much information as you can for all the participants. You will need to help me out when we socialise around the tables. This is a small event so it's perfect for you to practice. It will help you tremendously in more important occasion where attendees are VVIPs or ministers."

Initially Xavier couldn't think of anything for Yuki to do when Hans created this empty position out of nowhere. He was inspire after he has spoken to Steven the other day. Since Yuki is within his care, he might as well expose her to the ugliness of the world within secure measures. What can be safer than being at his side?

Xavier was quite busy today and would like to spend more time with her so he invited her for dinner,"Come to dinner with me now, Daniel will send you home after."

Yuki was hesitant to accept the offer. After all Xavier is her boss, it doesn't seem appropriate.

"Yuki, you need to get use to me by having me around. How can you execute your work if you are scare of me like everyone else? This is the difference between a personal assistant and a secretary. I can only have one personal assistant who knows everything about me and an office of secretaries who helps me to keep tabs on our projects but do not know me personally," Xavier coaxed.

Yuki agreed when she heard his explanation. It was true that Hans and his team doesn't seem to know Mr. Xavier personal matter when she tried to get as much information as she could to serve her position as his PA. Maybe she can limit his intake on double expresso, it couldn't be good for health with tonnes of caffeine intake daily.
