Chapter fifty one: Merry Christmas

It's two weeks before Christmas. It is the period I have been looking forward to spending some time with my in-laws.

" I guess Miss Titi will be inviting her fiancee over. Oh! Dad will be glad that we are expecting our baby soon. We going to experience huge moments as a large family, you know?... Stuff like that " I got pissed up after noticing that I was just talking to myself cause Jimi was not giving me listening ears instead was so carried away with work. He was actually working at home today.

Jimi! I yelled at him.

"Sorry babe, I was a little bit carried away..... Eh about the Christmas what were you saying?

".... About we visit your parent, what do think?

No! No! Look babe we just got married right?... We need our space.... I mean just you and I, okay, we aren't going to spend Christmas with them or maybe next one, not this one".

"come on Jimi don't you miss them? Besides it will be a lot of fun spending Christmas with family don't you think so ? Maybe it is a perfect opportunity to let Mom know I am pregnant ".

I got pissed up arguing about it "am not going to let you decide against this, we going to have it my way and that final "

I hated it, arguing with him always pissed me up, he was such a stubborn guy, or maybe more stubborn than I think but there was no way I was going to let him have it this time.

Some moments later I had a call from my mother-in-law. "hello sweetie, how are you doing?

" hello mom am fine, and how are you guys?

"cozy, congratulations on your pregnancy, how dare you keep it from me..... Sweetie, have you told your mom?

"No Mom I haven't but I intend to tell her soon"

"Stupid girl, how can you keep such a thing a secret? It's about 6 weeks and you still haven't told either of us. That a wrong thing you have done.... Am disappointed".

"am sorry mom we planned coming over for Christmas, at least let me make up for disappointing you ple.as..e!

"Alright, that's okay. Am looking forwards to your visit bye! We both hang up the call.

Jim ran to me at the kitchen, it has become a habit for it to hang around me always. I have also notice it doesn't try jumping on me onlike it does to Jimi , I was beginning to think it knew that I was pregnant. Jim always likes following me about , like going for shopping or outing .

"buddy , hungry, ... Want some goodies? But first you have to clean up this mess you did" .

It immediately started cleaning , packing it's toys back to it room . Of course Jimi treated it more than a pite and more like a son, Jimi always made sure it always smeared nice, well-feed , dressed and taken out with us. To me Jimi was not only obedient but also protective .

Jimi rewarded it by giving it a room filled with lot of toys.
