A New World, A New Start

Magnus was woken up by the sun rays passing through the window. Magnus got up and looked through the window. Because his room was on the first floor, he was able to see a bit further. He could see many houses connected to a dirt path. Most of the houses only had one story and were quite shabby; their arrangement didn't seem to follow any order. A bit further away, he could see wheat farms with farmers working with their hoes.

The whole scenery reminded Magnus of medieval fantasy novels he used to read in his first life.

Thinking about his first life, Magnus felt melancholic. This was his third life; in his first life, he was a typical youth. He had a good job, a loving wife, and good friends. He had a good life, but he passed away at the age of 30 after being murdered by a young master of a wealthy family.

In his second life, he was reborn as the young master of a powerful sect in a cultivation world. His name was Shen Jin. He was known as the "Demon Emperor" because he had no moral compass. He truly was like a demon. But despite everything, he wasn't able to break past the shackles of Rank 10.

Another sigh exited his mouth while he was thinking of his past. Now, in his third life, he was known as Magnus, a commoner with the only relative being his uncle, Arthur.

He had been staring outside for some time now. So he decided to explore the house. The house had two stories, 3 bedrooms, one kitchen, one storeroom, and one small hall.

'The main energy in this world is Mana, the power system of this world is a game-like system with levels, states, and classes. According to the memories of this body, the max level is 1000. But, no one can reach that level in their lifetime, and according to the memories not everyone has classes. I need to think about my future plans very carefully.'

Magnus was pondering his future plans while sitting on a chair. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard the sound of the main door opening. Magnus walked toward the door and saw a middle-aged man standing in the hallway. This was his uncle; his name was Arthur.

Arthur had black hair, black eyes, and a stout physique. He wasn't much taller than Magnus.

"Good morning, Manny."

"Good morning Uncle."

"Are you excited about your awakening ceremony?"

Arthur said with a warm smile. Magnus already knew what the awakening ceremony was, so he replied with an enthusiastic smile.

"Yes!"

When a person reaches the age of 14, they participate in the awakening ceremony. A person may awaken a class or acquire new abilities during this ceremony. This is a very important event for everyone because if someone can awaken a class, their future will be very promising.

Everyone wanted to awaken a class, but Magnus was not one of them.

'Who wants a shitty class. It will do more harm than good.'

Magnus thought while moving towards the hall.

"I am starving right now, so let's have breakfast."

"Sure."

Magnus answered and seated down while his uncle prepared breakfast by preparing some porridge.

'My identity was tainted, which was the only reason I couldn't advance past Rank 10. Thanks to those old fools, I was able to wash my individuality. But it came at a grave price; I lost everything apart from my soul and memories. But, it's all worth it because this time I know what I need to do for me to reach Rank 11.'

Magnus thought while looking out of the window toward the mud path connected to the house.

'First. I need to avoid any cultivation techniques or attacks created by someone else. Which means I have to make everything myself. Luckily I have all the memories of my past self, and I was preparing for this for a long time. So, I have my own cultivation technique.'

The Demon Emperor himself was the mastermind behind the assault on his realm. Everything from the destruction of the abyss to his 'death' was planned by himself. The Great Seer was trained by one of his incarnations. His incarnation chose The Great Seer from a lower planet and taught him for millennia until he reached Rank 10. Demon Emperor destroyed many realms to anger the remaining emperors. He fought with The Great Seer to show the angered emperors that he and The Great Seer were equal in strength. He killed The Great Seer's teacher to anger him.

Demon Emperor did all that just for a chance. A chance to cleanse his individuality, start over, and finally reach Rank 11. For this chance, he sacrificed everything he owned, his power, his realm whose size was even greater than many dimensions combined, and his treasures.

"Here you go."

His thoughts were interrupted by his uncle. Seeing the porridge on the table Magnus started to eat. The porridge wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.

Magnus was currently lying on his bed, thinking about his future plans.

'First, I need to start practicing the cultivation technique I made. Fortunately, this world's power system will help me reach Rank 1, with its level system it will be quite easy to reach the 'Foundation Building' realm.'

'Other than this, I need to focus on strengthening my individuality. I have an idea for that, but that would require money and a lot of materials. Also, I need information regarding this world its regions, monsters, and materials.'

'First, I should focus on getting stronger and earning some money to sustain myself. Everything will come after that.'

With this thought, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
