William and Mia were late to school because of the problem in the morning. When they got there, they didn't know where to go because the place was really big, so they started wandering around to see if they could find something. They had never been to a school before, so they didn't know where to go.

"I think we should go to the main office," said Mia while pointing to a sign hanging on the ceiling. "Maybe they can tell us where do we need to go."

"I think you are right," answered William.

They then started following the sign and reached an office with a lot of desks. There was a desk in the middle with 5 other desks around it. Then, there was a hallway in the back of the room that also led to other offices. After entering, all the people in the office turned around to look at them. The woman in the middle desk, the principal, smiled and waved at them.

"I am guessing you guys are the new 'students'. You don't know where to go, right?" said the principal while smiling.

"No, could you please tell us where we need to go, ma'am?" asked Mia in a respectful manner.

"Yes, yes, just follow me," said the principal while walking out of the office. William and Mia then followed her while the other people in the office turned around and whispered to each other.

"So, they are the ones supposed to protect the school?" said a woman to another.

"I think so, but aren't they too young? The school already has people going to Trigger school, so why do we need those kids, they probably are too weak to do anything." answered the other woman.

"Not really. I heard that there is a big difference between the people studying at Trigger and the Rankers of Trigger themselves. They are probably strong enough to turn this school upside-down by themselves." jumped in a man from behind them.

"Nah, they are too small to be that strong. We'll see what happens if a portal opens around here then." said the first woman, a little irritated.

William and Mis followed the principal around the hallways to their classroom. She gave them some papers with their classes in them and told them where their lockers were. She also told them that they didn't need to be formal with her and they could just call her by her name, Jane. When they got to their first class, Jane opened the door and all the kids inside got quite. She walked to the front of the class while the teacher gave way.

"Class, I want to present your new classmates, William and Mia. They are transferred students who came to join our school. Now, please take good care of them." Jane then went back to the door and was about to turn the corner when she said to William and Mia, "Guys, take good care of my school, please." She then left.

The class then continued as normal. After the class was done, kids started surrounding William and Mia asking them what school they came from and why. Just the normal things students ask new students. William stood there answering as few questions as he could. But Mia was extremely happy to be able to make new friends so she answered all the questions she could answer, but she left out the parts of them being from Trigger.

During lunch, Mia and William were about to sit together, but then a group of girls took Mia away, while a group of guys took William away. So they couldn't sit together. Their respective groups started talking trying to make friends.

"Hey, William, you know who the new girl is?" asked, a guy with a messy hair.

"Yes, I know her, why?" asked William. He kind of knew where this conversation was going to, but he didn't care much.

"Do you think she would be interested in any of us?"

"Yes, there is someone she likes in this table right now."

"Really? tell me quickly who it is."

"She likes me, she is my girlfriend, stupid.", said William and started laughing. The other guys in the table had an ugly face because the girl they all liked since the first time they saw her was already taken. It was too much to take in.

In the next class, they have a project to do, and it would be in groups. William was planning to not do the project because he didn't need to. But Mia forced him. The teacher knew what was going on so she put William and Mia together with another two people. Their names were Jack and Tracy. Jack was a tall guy with muscle and curly hair. Tracy had blond hair and fair skin. Jack and Tracy were actually together, so it was better because the guys wouldn't go after the other girl, while the girls wouldn't go for the other guys because they were a couple already. It was convenient because all the other guys were jealous of William for being with Mia, while the girls were jealous of Mia for being with William.

"Can we go to your house to do our project today?" asked Jack when he found out about the project. Apparently, he was the number 1 of the class, so he wanted to have the best project. Before William could say anything, Mia said yes. So they would be going home today with some other friends.

"Are you guys also in the Trigger school?" asked Jack on the way to William's house.

"Yes, but we are of the lowest rank," said William. This was another lie he had to make up because his dad told him to. He was supposed to go to Trigger school so he could live a normal life from now on, and Mia was obviously interested so William didn't have any option.

"You are Jack the Grim Reaper, right?" said William to Jack, who was really embarrassed by that name. "An A-Ranker of the Trigger school, who has a scythe as his spiritual weapon. I have heard a lot about you."

"Ah- yes, that's me." said in an embarrassed way.

"You are strong but weak in character. You don't need to feel ashamed by that name." said, William as they were about to reach the house.

Jack felt that William wasn't really of the lowest rank in Trigger school. He felt that William was really strong because anybody would feel pressure when standing in front of one of the best in Trigger school, but William was indifferent to that and talked to him in a normal way.

When they reached the house, the door suddenly opened and a woman came out.

"Yayy! My babies came back from their first they of school already!-" Mary came out and hugged Willaim and Mia, but stopped when she saw the other two people behind them. Her face changed from a childish face to one of a formal person. She tidied up her clothes and said again, "Hello, kids, how was your first day of school? and who are these two people? your friends? Come on in." She asked many questions but didn't let them answer any of them before pulling everybody in.

"Mom, they are friends from school. They are here because of a project we need to finish." Said William to his mom. Mary then smiled and told them to go to the kitchen and eat. they all talked a lot before going up to William's room.

"Your mom is really nice and beautiful," said Tracy. She liked how Mary changed personality when she was with other people, but acted another way when with her family. She was truly fantastic.

"Yes, she is amazing, unlike my dad," said William while rolling his eyes. "He is a devil."

Mia giggled when William said that and hugged him. That was a joke only for them. So Jack and Tracy were just smiling wryly because they didn't know what happened.

After talking for a while, they started doing the project and finished it quickly. Then it was time for Jack and Tracy to go home, so they said goodbye to William, Mia, and Mary and then left.

"They don't know anything right, Will?" asked Mary when Jack and Tracy left.

"No, everything is fine for now, but they will find out soon. I felt the pressure in the school, a portal will open in a month," said William.

"You'll be there so it doesn't matter," said Mary and then left.

William and Mia then went to bed and fell asleep.
