Three months passed.
"Who would ever think that by coming here to Korea you became more caged than you were when back in Guangzhou," said Lian to Yanmei as they strolled along Seoul's Forrest Park.
They were practically walking around together with five security, including Ha-joon.
Yanmei was carrying Nari against her chest. She giggled at Lian's words before she said, "It is the life I chose. The life to be with my husband. I can't just go around by myself knowing there is always possible danger around me."
"It's the same for Li Wen and her kids - the main Xia family can't just go anywhere without a bodyguard now. It's not about being caged but accepting the terms of the life I have chosen."
Lian sighed. Back in Guangzhou, she did not necessarily have a bodyguard of her own, but their home was heavily guarded. She was constantly being recognized as a Xia and there were times when she feared the stares of the people.
