Better Not To Reveal

"Yes, there was some unexpected traffic on the way here." Mina articulated honestly. It was indeed as she said. Even though she was pretty close to this location, only around fifteen minutes away, there had been an accident, thus she was late by five minutes.

'It's as if she keeps making excuses for everything!' A bit annoyed, Kay pondered.

'Though I gotta admit, she's beautiful indeed.' Then, unconsciously, as a strange sensation rose within his mind, this weird notion popped into his head which surprised even himself.

'Ah… what am I thinking…' Shaking his head, he rejected the notion entirely.

"What would you like to order?" He inquired just out of politeness at this time.

"Thanks, but I don't need anything... I have to leave soon." Shaking her head, she rejected casually.

Nodding his head in understanding, Kay didn't insist and voiced instead, "I wanted to talk to you because I really don't remember much about last night… would you mind explaining what happened exactly? Also, I'm pretty sure you called my name back then, but why is it that you didn't know it before my introduction?" He inquired doubtfully.

"Ah… I called out your name? Me? That's not possible. I mean, I never saw you before in my entire life. Maybe, you might've experienced a hallucination due to being injured gravely at the time." Shaking her head, Mina responded.

'Did I really hallucinate? Hmm… well, maybe.' After this sad notion went through his head, he inquired with a rather solemn aura emitting off his body, "So, can you explain in detail what happened from the moment you found me?"

A bit embarrassed, Mina replied as such, "Ah… to be honest, I don't remember much either…"

Confused, Kay uttered back, "What? What do you mean? How can that be? Could it be that you were drunk or something?"

"Uh… no… I don't know… all I remember is that I discovered you while I was searching for my necklace… then, I was about to call the ambulance, when I blacked out. Of course, I called the ambulance when I came back to myself. However, since I was feeling really weak, I had to leave. Unfortunately, I passed out on the way as I was ironically dragged into the hospital myself. Hmm, anyway, that's all that happened." Elaborating everything she recalled in a single breath, Mina wondered in some worry, 'Why did I black out? Could it be because I've been really stressed these last two days? But was I that stressed?'

A while later, putting those thoughts and conclusions at the back of her mind for now, she queried out of concern, "How are your injuries by the way? Did you arrive to the hospital safely?"

'Hmm… but I wake up on my bed… why? Furthermore, peculiarly, I have no injuries whatsoever anywhere on my entire body… what the hell is going on?' After silently deliberating on these specific facts, truly mystified himself, he reflected more, 'No… it seems she doesn't know anything either… I better not reveal anything to her. This is too strange and something really odd is going on here. I have to figure it out myself.'

Reaching a not so assuring conclusion, he replied rather nonchalantly, "I'm better… yeah, the hospital did a great job of taking care of me… and apparently, my wounds weren't that serious to begin with, so they discharged me sooner after I informed them about my work."
