After that poor employee repeated every word and the meeting was over, Kay left toward a certain office.
'I should just hire her for now and see for myself if she's appropriate for this company. It's never too late to let her go if she's not.' Since he had decided at last, he was now on his way to notify the person in charge regarding his decision.
Knock~ Knock~
"Please come in." A few seconds later, a muffled voice was heard from the other side of the door as Kay finally opened it before entering.
"Oh, branch manager Kay! What brings you here?" Came the respectful response.
"Manager Gilbert, I'm here to notify you to please hire Mina Love from amongst the interviewees. Please pass on the news to HR." Kay declared at the middle-aged manager.
Hearing this statement of his, however, Raphael Gilbert became slightly surprised by this decision, as if he was against this decision.
"Eh, why do you seem surprised? She was one of the top candidates amongst our choices, no?" Kay queried, full of doubt, and a bit curious at the same time.
"Uh, yes, she was. It's just that, I heard some very bad rumors about her… which is likely to be true. Thus… I'm against the notion of hiring her." Clarified the middle-aged man.
"And what would those rumors be?" He asked showing a frown. Kay was now curious about just what kind of bad rumor would exceed her and reach their company so soon.
"Um, well, an employee of ours notified me that she was fired from her previous job because she betrayed the company she was working for. Moreover, I was told she slept around with her higher-ups because she was too ambitious." Expounded the middle-aged manager calmly.
This instead forced an even deeper frown to appear on Kay's forehead. He wasn't expecting this kind of rumor at all.

Around half an hour after leaving the coffee shop, exiting the bus, Mina walked toward the empty alley that she suspected to be the place her necklace was lost at.
'Sigh, this is the third time I'm being forced to return to this abandoned alley for various reasons, it's as if I'm fated to be here in the end.' This absurd notion popped into her head as she shook her head in utter frustration
To be truthful, Mina had come to hate this place to the pit of her stomach! Because every time she was dragged to this back alley, something bad or horrible happened.
On her first visit, her boyfriend cheated on her, she lost her job, she lost her precious necklace, and even worse, she had been struck by a bolt of fucking lightning before fainting!
On her second time, she discovered someone mortally wounded laying in a corner bleeding almost to death. Moreover, she had lost her consciousness once again before being hospitalized!
It was as if this place was the nemesis of her good luck. The very center of her bad luck in the entire universe itself.
And that's why she didn't want to return to this place at all costs. Unfortunately, that necklace was just too valuable for her not to.
'Just one last time! I swear I'll never come back here after finding my necklace. Ever.' She concluded resolutely.
