Eiras

The next day at the sixth month of the week after eating my breakfast, I went back to my room and started preparing my equipment. The [Inventory] had an equip function that lets you wear equipments without dressing up like those in games. After a few minutes, I opened the [Menu] then pressed [Travel]. After that, i picked the only world available which is {Eiras}.

"Preparing to depart. Starting World Jump in 10 seconds."

The monotonous robotic voice of Travy echoed on my mind and a circular magic circle like pattern appeared below me.

"3... 2... 1... Initiating World Jump."

The intense brightness blinded my eyes for a bit. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes and revealed the vast Plains of Eiras.

"Welcome to Eiras.

Mission List Updated!

Mission Name: Slime Destroyer

Mission: Defeat 5 slimes in the Plains

Reward:

Adventure Level Experience: 10

Slime Ring (Rarity: N)

What the heck is with the mission name... It kinda makes me the enemies of all slimes here.

I walked through the plains to find the slimes. After a few minutes, I found one. It looks like a transparent jello that had a ball inside it. The ball or rather the core might be it's weak point. The copper sword's sharpness might be good enough to pierce it.

I ran and pierced through it's core. The Slime's membrane burst out like water. The core is the only thing left. I get the core and continue to find 4 more slimes to finish my first mission.

After an hour, I managed to kill four more slimes, completing my first mission. Travy's monotone voice echoed through my ears once more.

All of my Stats increased. It seems I also gained the skill [Swordsmanship]. I pressed the Skill to see what it does.

Swordsmanship Level 1: 0/10

Increases the damage dealt by 1% when using swords.

One percent? So if i leveled up the [Swordsmanship] skill, it will increase by another one percent.

"Yes. It is indeed correct."

Hm? Travy can hear my thoughts?

"Yes. That way, we can communicate even when your not talking."

I see. It's more convenient that way.

I forgot that I received a Slime Ring. I went to the [Inventory] to see what stats it had.

Slime Ring Level 1 (Rarity: N)

Intelligence +1

Passive: 10% more [Status] Level experience when defeating slimes.

It seems pretty good. 10% Exp Bonus from slimes would help me level up faster. After I equipped my Slime Ring, Travy's monotonous voice echoed once more.

"Mission Updated:

Go to Roste Town to apply as an Adventurer and sell the slime cores from the slimes you defeated.

Rewards:

Adventure Level Experience: 20

Title: Newbie Adventurer

A title? What does it do?

"A title can give you bonuses, either minor or big ones."

Since it was my first title, I shouldn't expect the bonus to be big. By the way, how do I know where to go?

"Your left eye had a compass feature. Please use it to navigate."

I activated my left eye and I saw a pointer which changes directions whenever look either left or right.

I started walking towards the direction of the compass. I was walking westwards of the plain and found a road. After half an hour of walking, I saw a town ahead. That might be the Roste Town. Do i need some Identification card of some sort?

"You can say that you're from the countryside and didn't registered for an identification card. you can pay 10 bronze coins for a temporary pass. Applying to the Adventurer's Guild can make you have a permanent identification."

I see. That's why the mission stated that I need to apply for the Adventurer's Guild. I think i have around 50 bronze coins in my inventory by defeating those slimes.

"Please do note that you are the only one earning money passively by defeating monsters. Adventurer's mainly earn money by fulfilling the missions in the guild."

I see. Just by killing monsters, I can earn money without having to go to the Guild, But fulfilling the Guild's request can make me earn more money. It really feels like a Virtual Game World.

I continue to walk, finding several slimes along the way. I defeated around 7 of them and continued walking to Roste Town. After a few minutes, I saw the glimpse of the town. Unlike my original world where the buildings look modern, the town was kind of like a "medieval" one. But... will i able to understand their language?

"Notice: Do you want to download the skill: World Language Translation?:

Oh... A convenient skill. Sure.

"Proceeding to insert the necessary data."

After a few minutes, loads of information about this world's language passed on through my mind, like sending a high voltage shock through my brain. Good thing it only lasted a few seconds.

"Transfer of Data finished. You may now continue."

I started to walk towards the town's gate.

"Identification Card please."

"I don't have one yet. Since i was from the countryside."

"I see. 10 bronze coins for a temporary pass. Are you planning to get one in this town fella?"

The guard seems a little scary and tough, but i can tell he's a good man judging from his tone.

"Yes. I plan to register in the Adventurer's Guild the card there also serve as an identification too, right?"

"Oh? You plan to become an Adventurer? Yeah. That counts as an identification card. Be careful when you become an adventurer, okay? Adventurer's face a lot of dangers."

"Thank you, sir."

I paid the guard and he gave me a temporary pass.

I walked inside the town, navigating using my compass on my left vision. The town was moderately big, but I managed to get to the Adventurer's Guild. The appearance of the Guild was like an big inn from the Medieval Period. I entered the guild and went to the reception desk. I was greeted by a friendly and cheerful receptionist.

"Hello, Young man! are you gonna register as an Adventurer?"

"Yes. May I know the requirements?"

"Just write up your name and age here."

I wrote my name and age on the paper she gave me.

"Next, put your hand in this orb."

I did as she said and the orb glowed. Then it printed out a bronze card.

"Here you go. You are now an adventurer! You are now F-rank"

Didn't know it's that easy to register. Oh forgot i need to sell the materials for the Quest.

Can i also sell some slime cores here?

"Oya? have you defeated some slimes on your way here?"

"Yes. I have 12 slime cores"

"I see. It will be 20 bronze coins each cores."

I pretended to get the core from my bag but in reality, i used my [Inventory] to grab the slime cores.

"Here you go."

The receptionist counted the slime cores i gave her.

"It is indeed 12 cores. Here is 2 copper coins and 40 bronze coins as payment."

"Thank you."

"Im gonna state the policies now. It is important to know the policies of the Guild. First, you need to regularly accept request. Since you are only F-rank, the limit is only 2 weeks or your card will be revoked. But as your rank gets higher, the limit will be longer as well. Second, If you want to rank up, You need to regularly do quests or commissions. As an F-rank, you need to do 10 F-rank quests and you'll rank up. Third, You shouldn't cause trouble for people or other adventurers, violating this can either put your card into suspension or completely revoked it. The last one, if you didn't complete a requests or commissions, you will be penalized depending on the request."

"I see. Thank you for telling me."

"Haha. What a humble man. If you want to do some requests, please proceed to the request board over there. Oh by the way, I'm Sistina. If you want to ask questions, just tell me, okay?"

"Thank you. I'll go to the request board now."

I went to the request board for F-ranks and skim through the request. As I skim through the requests, Travy's robotic voice echoed through my mind once more.

Mission Completed!

Title: Newbie Adventurer

I tapped the title to see what the bonus it will give.

Newbie Adventurer: Gives 5% bonus experience by defeating monsters.

Five percent might seem a little small but, it will be better if i defeated stronger enemies.

I continued to skim through the request. After a few minutes, i decided to pick a request. 10 dew grass for 50 bronze coins each was pretty good. the location was is the plains I went earlier. That way, I can kill more slimes and level up as well.

I went to Sistina if I can get a book about plants and herbs.

"Books about plants and herbs? Oh. I see that you're going to get the Dew Grass request. There is a library here in the Guild, though you can only read it there and not rent it."

"I see. Thank you."

I then headed to the library and find some books.
