Magus

Her mouth was left hanging hearing those words. She couldn't believe what he just said. Everyone couldn't believe it either.

"No. I… I can't believe it. My mother, she--" she looked at Khalid and tears started to fall in her cheeks. Nathalie went closer to her to embrace her.

"The important thing is that Evielyn left the circle. And none of this even matters, because Lucifer died in a fire years ago." Hashe said smiling despites of the pain in his neck and he groans because of pain after saying the name Lucifer for the last time and falls down into the floor.

Khalid and Peter immediately catched him as he continued talking with a weak voice. "Lucifer *ahhh!* nearly destroyed the human world. If he'd gotten the Cup--" He was not able to finish when Eviery interrupted, because she remembered something.

"Wait, wait, wait. My mother told me she hid something from someone. If it's the Cup--" She said remembering what her mother told her before they entered the portal.

"I've heard it too. That's what I've been saying from a while ago. What's with that Mortal Cup anyway, why is everyone after that thing?" Peter asked.

"The Mortal Cup and the blood of the chosen one is the most important thing in our world. Whoever possesses it can create more Demon Hunter." Khalid explains to them. They all nodded in amazement.

"And in the wrong hands, it could control demons. If Evielyn hid the cup, then she's in more danger than you can possibly imagine." Hashe added. Crawls into the floor because of pain. He tried his best to sit straight.

"I hate to make you suffer like this." Eviery went closer to him with pitying eyes.

"Your mother is just trying to protect you and now it's your turn to protect her. Stop Lu--Lucifer... before he destroys us all." Threatened Hashe said in between his heavy breathing.

Eviery was terrified of what might happen to them and to her mom. So she ran quickly outside the training room crying and Khalid sighed and followed her leaving everyone. Hashe was carried by other Demon hunters into the Infirmary, he's too weak to even stand.

Khalid tried to stop Eviery from doing anything stupid at this point. He told her to calm down but she wouldn't listen. She stopped into a very spacious room where Khalid and Alex usually trained when they were still young.

She screamed to him that he wouldn't understand the feeling of losing a mother since he's a person who doesn't feel any emotions. He felt a slight pinch in his heart upon hearing it. So he told her that she was right. Since he doesn't have a mother growing up. That causes her to stop for a moment.

Eviery felt guilty of what she said to him after hearing what he said and looked at him with pity. What Khalid is trying to say is that she doesn't know anything about their world, yet. So she must not do any unnecessary things that could put her life in danger.

When she calms down. They talked about Lucifer again and why he thinks her mother has the cup.

"You know about the runes, you've drawn them. You know something. Think, please." Khalid walked closer to her trying to convince her.

"I've tried, Khalid. It's just this empty blankness." She exclaimed and turned around frustrated.

"Your memories have been wiped." Khalid sighs and clenches his fist.

"That's impossible." She said and turned her gaze to Khalid, "Is it?" She asks in awe and frowns.

"Absolutely… if you know a Magus." He said, smirking.

"A Magus?" She asked again with disbelief.

"Yeah, a Magus. Immortal beings, they are half demon, half humans. Sometimes their fingers spark." He said describing a Magus as he twirled his finger copying what a magus usually does.

"Ariann. My mom's assistant, her hands had this purple glow when she opened the wall and my mom told us to enter and I ended up at the police station." She said and put an action and moved her hands the way Ariann did during that time.

"That was a portal. Ariann must have been a magis. Only magus can create them. They knew and worked magic." Khalid said in a serious tone and expression on his face.

"Wait, so are you saying if we find the real Ariann, she could help us find the cup and get my mom back?" She concluded. A sign of relief could be seen in her eyes.

Khalid shrugged his shoulders and said, "Unless she is working for Lucifer."

"Even better. She will lead us right to the Grand Elder." She said even determined and walks back inside the headquarters and looks for her friends. Khalid followed her shaking his head amused by her determination.

Everyone didn't wait for her to come back knowing that Khalid was with her, and that he won't let anything bad happen to her so after they were introduced to other important matters by Izzy and Alex inside the headquarter and about demon hunter they immediately went to their designated room provided by the Demon hunters. For all of them to finally rest, they have been awake for almost 48 hours including Eviery. The current situation they have doesn't allow them to even take a short nap so now that they have the chance to have their most needed rest, they must really rest because tomorrow will be a very tough day for them.

Meanwhile, through the dark night of New York City, cars beeping on the road. Damon manages to enter Evielyn and Eviery's house. Only to see that everything was ruined, burnt belongings of Eviery, broken chairs and windows. He kept Evielyn's things and put them in a box. Antique things, a sculpture, books, picture frames and a tarot card that has a gold antique cup drawn to it. A cup looks like that same thing that people in Egypt were using many years ago. It doesn't look suspicious at all since it is only a tarot card, the cup that everyone is looking for is a real and powerful cup.

*Eeeeenkk*Thud*

He moved quickly and took his gun upon hearing the front door open and closed. He pointed the gun into the door as if waiting for someone to come out. He was surprised to see Ariann who was bruised and looked weak. She is also surprised to see him there. Ariann sighs in relief. As Damon kept his gun into his side pocket.

"Where's Eviery? What happened to her?" He immediately asked Ariann as he continued getting the things and put them inside a box.

"We sent her and her three friends through a Portal to you." Ariann frowned in confusion.

"You sent them through a portal? They could be in limbo!" He exclaimed and pulled his brows together.

"Well, I didn't have much of a choice. I stayed to help Evielyn fight with Lucifer's men and I got thrown to a plate glass window." She said remembering what happened that night. "Who do you think glamoured the house so that the mundane police wouldn't be alerted?" She added in a weak voice as confusion was written in her face.

"Where's Eviery? And where is Evielyn?" He ignored her questions and asked her back instead and his masculine voice sharpened. Back at the police station, he had sense that Eviery went there but he had no idea when was the exact time she arrived, he's worries even build up when he thought that what if she hear him talking to Damien and Tina last night at the police station. Poor kid!

"I don't know. All I know is that I sent them to the police station TO YOU." Ariann said, phrasing the word to you. He turned his gaze back to keeping their things. "And what exactly are you doing with all that stuff?" She added and frowned.

"I can't have anybody tracking her, including you." He said casually, his eyes are accusing.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Ariann said with disbelief.

"It means that this stuff is going to the police station with me, where it's safe." He replied gazing directly at Ariann. Ariann exhales sharply and couldn't believe what he just said and rolled her eyes and then turned around to get out of the room.

"Where are you going?" He said upon seeing her going out of the room.

She turned her back once again and said, "To find Eviery. They'll come for her next. If anyone could help, that would be Kouzlo." She said and stared at him back sharply. Kouzlo was the strongest of all Magus, he is Ariann's mentor and her dearest friend.

"Ariann. You can't trust anyone!" He said calmly and shook his head as he stopped what he's doing for a moment.

"You are absolutely right, Damon." She said, nodding her head. 'including you!' she thought. And walk out of the room weakly. She swirled her fingers and a purple glow was released, she's too weak to even heal herself but she could still barely manage to create a portal for her to where Kouzlo is located, which she did.
