Magical Abandoned Church

"She's so comfortable with her body." Khalid replied, smirking. And walk away bringing with him her sketchpad.

Without any choice she wore the clothes and went to the mirror to check herself. To her surprise, with mouth agape and her eyes widened, there's a 'tattoo' drawn into her neck. Her jaw dropped as she narrowed her eyes through the guy behind her.

"How did that get there!" She asked him enraged.

"I drew that." He proudly said while pointing out the tattoo on her neck.

She inhaled deeply, "Okay, listen. I still don't get everything that's going on here but you do not tattoo my neck. That's creepy!" She said firmly and raised her brow.

"Noted. I guess next time, I'll just let you die." He smiled calmly. "And it's not a tattoo, it's a RUNE. They have enormous power." He walked closer to Eviery's direction and added "But you... you already know about runes, don't you ?" Referring to her drawings.

She couldn't answer and just stared back at her drawings. She didn't even know how she managed to draw and what was her inspiration in drawing it. It would only pop up into her mind and she'll draw it eventually. He was surprised when he saw Eviery's confused face.

"Maybe you don't." He said, frowning. "Which is what makes you so interesting...Eviery." He continued as he got more interested about Eviery, everything about her.

She didn't mind him and just quickly left the Infirmary as Khalid frowned behind her back.

"And where do you think you're going?" He asked, causing her to stop upon making another step.

"I'll go see Simon. What? You're going to stop me?" She said as she turned around to face Khalid but to her surprise, he was already behind her when she turned around, her head hits his rock hard chest. Her eyes widened and slowly she pulled her head upward without thinking, their lips now inches apart, she could feel his warm breath. Without knowing she already closed her eyes, feeling the scent of his breath.

"What is happening?" Alex suddenly spoke from the door, confused and irritated. Eviery quickly pushed Khalid's chest and turned around to face… Everyone. Her face heated up and she blushed because of embarrassment. Peter and the others are smirking evily as they gaze at her with teasing looks.

"Nothing…" She bent her head down. "I...I..ahmmm…" She couldn't say anything. Everyone laughs at her with amusement. "I need to go to Simon, he's outside." She finally said without stammering.

"No. You can not go outside." Khalid said as he walked past her. "There is someone waiting for you there aside from your friend, a Vampire." Her eyes widened together with Peter, Nathalie and Jacob.

She quickly ran towards the window and only saw Simon there and no one else. "Are you kidding me? There's no one in there aside from my bestfriend!" She exclaimed and pointed at Simon's direction.

Peter suddenly followed her to the window and observed the surroundings. His eyes sharpened as he continued to glance everywhere, and there he saw a guy who's standing behind Simon's van. His eyes are now slowly developing as he slowly gets used to it, if he would focus his eyes towards something even if it is behind a wall or a car he would be able to see it.

"He's right. You cannot go down there, there is someone hiding behind Simon's van. And I can sense his bad energy from here." He said while staring into Khalid for a moment and transferred his gaze to Eviery.

"What!? No! What if something happens to Simon, I can't just leave him there!" She said hysterically.

"Please, listen to them Eviery. It won't get better even if you go down there you'll make things worse as it is." Izzy said as she walked towards Eviery's direction and led her to the couch.

"Just call him, Eviery and send him home." Nathalie seconded and sat beside them and patted her back.

"I'll go there instead." Khalid represented. "With you, Lady... ahm?" He added as he looked directly into Nathalie's eyes, he seemed to be asking for her name.

"Nathalie… B-but w-why m-me?" She stammered in fear.

"Don't be scared. All you have to do is to talk to her bestfriend and tell him to go home or whatever." Khalid replied smirking. She nodded and they proceeded to the door with Khalid.

'Be careful.' Someone speaks inside her head so she turned around and saw Peter gazing at her intently. They both nodded at each other.

They immediately leave the headquarters as Khalid leads the way out. He was holding a seraph blade. They were silent until they finally gets out and asked him.

"So why can't Simon see you?" She asked him. And Simon on the other hand stared at her, really confused as to why she's talking by herself.

"This is a glamour, a rune that keeps me invisible to mundane." He explained and showed her the rune in his stomach. As they parted ways for him to hide.

"Simon!" Nathalie called out as she ran towards Simon's direction.

"Where is Eviery? We need to go home." He replied and looked behind Nathalie hoping Eviery was there.

"She can't be here. There's a lot of demons looking for her." Nathalie explained, causing Simon to frown in confusion.

Suddenly, someone called her behind.

"Eviery." A guy with blue eyes called her. So she immediately turned her back to see the guy. He thought that I am Eviery.

But Khalid was just hiding and just waited for the demon to come out. He then grabbed his neck and cracked it. Nathalie looks really scared and gasps.

Simon on the other hand has no idea what's happening, he's not able to see both Khalid and the demon.

Nathalie called Kahlid and ran quickly as soon as the demon was dead and Simon followed her.

"Could you please show yourself or deglamorize, or whatever… so Simon won't think that I'm losing my mind?"

So Khalid deactivated his glamour rune and Simon was shocked seeing Khalid flashed through the air together with the demon laying on the ground.

"Ahm...What is happening?" He frowned.

"We don't really have the luxury right now, kid." Khalid grunts.

"Where's Eviery I need to see her!" Simon asked again.

Suddenly his phone rang and it was Eviery.

"What the hell, Eve… Where exactly are you right now?"

"Simon, please listen to me first. They took my mom and I need to find her… I want you to go home, I can not go outside this place it's too dangerous and I don't want you to be near me or near this place. Did you get me?" She replied without a pause.

"What! Why?" He asked again as confusion hit him.

"Just…I-I'll explain to you later, okay?"

"There's a dead body here. We have to call Damon." Simon replied looking frightened.

"No, Simon. We can't trust Damon, we can't. He's with the people who took my mother." She exclaimed." She said over the phone. "Simon, please go home for now and be safe, okay?" She said and hung up.

"Wait! Eve! Eviery? Hello? Fuck!" He exclaimed.

"Please go now Simon. Before anyone could see you here." Nathalie said as they slowly entered the abandoned church, leaving Simon behind and without a choice but to go inside his car and drive fast.

As they entered the abandoned church, with normal mundanes eyes you would only see messed up things, broken furniture, spiderwebs everywhere, dirt and dusty. But with Nathalie's eyes, she could see things move in a magical way as the whole place lit up, the messy things move on its own and demon hunters were walking around the place doing their own business.

Izzy and Alex were standing in front of the holographic computers as Peter, Eviery and Jacob were waiting for them at the entrance.

"The Vampires are making their move already." Alex grunt. "Another body found drained in blood. This is the 5th time this week." He continued as he opened a file, frowning.

"We need to be prepared as soon as possible. The war begins." Khalid said while smirking.

"War? What war?" Eviery asked confused and frightened.

"We were expecting a war in the next 5 days but with the numbers of people they've killed? I bet… the Vampires are giving us signs." Izzy answered as they walked towards the training ground all together.

"Which is why you all need to be trained well. Since you're one of us now. You, Eviery needs to be introduced to what Demon Hunters do, I will train you." Khalid said as he pointed out Eviery and winked. "And you, Peter, Nathalie and Jacob your abilities are already enhanced, all you need is to know how to use it well and you must learn how to fight against Vampires." He added as he glanced at the three of them. They just nodded in return.
