Chapter 7. Unexpecte

" Carlos, clear all her scandals and destroy the person who dared to slander her!"

Lorenzo shifted his eyes away from the big phone, but still, he was calm as ever, despite the intense anger he was feeling.

Both his assistant and Hudson even felt suffocated, and they almost choked. This was not their first time to experience Lorenzo's anger, but for him to be so overprotective of a lady?

This is serious!

" Got it Mr. Brown!" His assistant, Carlos, nodded and clutched his phone tightly. But before he could take his leave, a cold voice rang behind him.

" And shut down all those marketing accounts that are involve in her case!"

" Okay, Mr. Brown!" Carlos responded politely, and after that, he immediately scurried away from the office.

All this while, Hudson just watched Lorenzo with agape mouth and found his reaction to be so unbelievable.

Lorenzo didn't bother with him as he was still mad, and the room temperature wasn't normal. Now, he needed something to cool his head.

As if sensing what he wanted, Hudson passed him a box of cigar.

Lorenzo collected the cigar and stretched his legs. He didn't say anything to Hudson and just calmly loosened the first three buttons of his shirt.

The cigar was already in his mouth, and he inhaled it, puffing out a good amount of smoke.

Finally, he was starting to get himself now.

Hudson on the other hand was wearing a frown. He wanted to know why Lorenzo was acting like this, because of that woman. It was just a one night stand, but why did he became so overprotective of her.

Or, could this also be part of his games?

He pursed his lips and narrowed his, while he shrugged coolly.

None of his business anyway...

" Get Logan for me."

Lorenzo's voice was hoarse due to the cigar, but it was still captivating.

" Alright." Hudson stood up and adjusted himself, before he ambled out of Lorenzo's office.

Alone now in his own office, the sight of him currently was so hunky.

His chest was revealed a bit, but it gave out the view of his smooth attractive skin. His hair was slightly messy, but he was relaxed. With his outstretched legs, the smoke of the cigar danced around his face gently, making him to appear dangerously charming.

Soon, Hudson arrived, and the person called Logan, also arrived at Lorenzo's office and knocked the door.

" Come in," Lorenzo replied curtly.

Then, both men stepped in immediately.

" Deliver this document to her!." Lorenzo ordered Logan instantly, as he pointed to the brown document in front of him, without even glancing at the two men.

Logan's eyes were also calm, and he exuded the bit of Lorenzo's aura. His composure was also similar to Lorenzo's one. Of course, he was his right hand man, so that explains it.

" Yes boss!" Logan took the brown document on the desk. He already knew who his boss was referring to. Then, he bowed his head and turned his back, strolling away.

" What are you up to?" Hudson finally couldn't take it anymore, and he faced Lorenzo with a puzzled face.

Lorenzo turned to him with lazy eyes and pressed his lips into a thin line.

Suddenly, he made a dry chuckle and threw the cigar in his hand away.

" Wait and see."

Ava was doing her rehearsal at the location. It was about time for her to shoot. Everything was already set..

Ava took a deep breath when she was done with her rehearsal and drank a bottle of water.

Her face was no longer looking haggard, but it was still appearing stressed.

Unexpected, someone interrupted her privacy.

" Ava! You need to check this out!" Charlotte said frantically as she ran to meet Ava.

" What is it?!" Ava rolled her eyes, thinking this was just one of Charlotte's irrelevant news.

" Check it," Charlotte handed her phone to Ava as she panted. She had ran all the way here, the moment she saw the scandal about Ava. Though, she didn't believe it, but that doesn't mean the neitizens wouldn't.

" I didn't see anything." Ava arched her brows, as she stared at the phone screen in front of her. She was only seeing the normal news and nothing more.

Charlotte, who was already thinking of various ways to clarify Ava's scandal, furrowed her brows when she heard Ava's reply. Instantly, her head snapped to the phone screen.

" What?!" Charlotte was stunned and she blinked her eyes repeatedly.

" What happened?! I clearly saw....."

" I understand Charlotte." Ava moved closer to her and patted her back.

" Have you had brunch?"

There was a hint of satire in her tone.

Charlotte raised her brows and stared at Ava. Many might not understand the hidden meaning behind Ava's words, but Charlotte clearly understood it.

She made a displeased face, " I know what am saying! I clearly saw a scandal about you online, and there were lots of negative comments." She checked her phone again and frowned more. " But...there is nothing now."

Ava sniggered. She wanted to laugh at Charlotte because of her expression. It was ridiculous, but she restrained herself.

" I guess maybe you made a mistake." She shrugged.

" I didn't! There was a picture of you coming out of a man's room, and it was really trending!" Charlotte shook her head negatively and refused vehemently.

She was definitely sure of what she saw.

Ava didn't pay attention to her anymore. Instead, she turned around and went over to pick some of her things. But she could still perceive some mumbles from her assistant.

" Did someone clarify it? But I saw it. I was sure of that!" Charlotte pouted as she mumbled, and she scratched her head awkwardly.

A loud sound disturbed both of them, and they turned to the direction of where the sound was coming from.

Ava strolled to where her phone was, and it turns out to be the ringing of her phone.

" Hello," she said with a low voice, immediately she picked the phone call.

" Ava, have you seen the news?" A deep but gentle voice came from the other end.

" What news?" Ava inquired curiously.

" There is a scandal of you trending now. I don't believe you would do such a thing, but we have to clarify it as soon as possible!" The voice came out again in an anxious tone.

Ava pulled her brows into a tight frown and looked over at Charlotte.

Turns out she was right!

" Ava?" The person from the other end called her, when there was no reply from Ava.

" Liam, am sorry, but can I call you back?" Ava asked unhurriedly.

There was silence from the other person, but Ava didn't care.

The person at the other end of the call was Ava's best friend, named Liam. He was also her childhood friend.

" Alright, call me as soon as you can okay?"

" Yeah, I will." Ava nodded and hung the call immediately. Then, she turned to Charlotte. " Did you say there was a scandal about me online?"

Charlotte faced Ava, nodding her head vigorously, " Yes, I really saw it!"

" Then, we have to clarify it as soon as possible." Ava's gaze turned hard, and she fisted her palms.

This better not be Henry's handiwork! She thought and hissed.

She was already getting fed up of Henry's games.

" But it not online anymore." Charlotte said and quickly showed Ava the phone again. " See, there is nothing like your scandal anymore. Am really surprised, but everything is all cleared, including the negative comments!"

Ava was startled, but before she could say anything, a loud uproar resounded around the location.

" What's that?" Charlotte instantly became alert, and she looked towards the door.

" Let's check it out." Ava said, as she followed the line of Charlotte's gaze.

Immediately, both of them ran out, but only to get stunned by what welcomed them.

Outside the shooting location, three black shiny and expensive cars, arrived suddenly and formed a straight line.

The crew and other actors outside the shooting location were astonished to see this. Even some of them made a loud fuss on it and jumped up with excitement.

The cars door were opened at the same time and almost immediately, everyone kept mute.

It was like something had shut them up!

A leg was stretched, and finally someone alighted from the car.

As the person came out, the other people in the car also did, but they were all wearing black suits.

Even their face was serious and vicious.

The atmosphere turned stiff, as everyone held their breaths!
