chapter 9 - the idealous file

WILLIAM POV

We finally arrived at an old block house after leaving the store, we alighted from the car standing before the a tall building. somehow this place seems odd I feel like I've been here before. Not exactly this old house but the town seems familiar and flashing back to what that lady said make me swim in thoughts in my mind. I wanted to have a change of mind for going back but my curiosity won't let me. what could be so personal that have parkis come all the way here, I asked no one in particular just drifting through my thoughts.

"Here we are, I'll go in" park is said as he made his way into his house.

"wait! aren't we all suppose to go in" William asked.

"hmm..OK but the ladies have to stay behind" parkis said directing his words to tuchi and Mario before entering into the house with William behind him.

Manny walked up to tuchi, he drew his face close to her ears.

"keep an eye on her! you know what to do." he whisper then turn as he walked into the house.

keeping up the pace between parkis Manny hurried up to join them.

"This place is a lot brighter than I thought " parkis said as he uses his hand to remove cobwells in front of him.

"The roof is off!" William said

"oh I forget to notice that" parkis said looking up, the sky was still bright and had a much clearer view from inside the house. they entered a large room. the view of the room was terrible, news paper was liter around the room mixed up with water making the place irritating, high shelf's were place at the end of the room. on the other side was pictures of missing people pinned against the wall. this eventually draw William attention as he walked to it and let his hand feel the soft tissues of the picture which had become weak and worn off.

Manny walked off to Join parkis at the shelf side as they went through some documents which was not suitably placed in the drawer.

"Do you think its still occuring?" Manny asked referring to what has happened in the past in this town.

"perhaps." parkis answered as he go through the file in his hand. Manny turned back to look at William who was going through every pictures there.

"Bringing William here wasn't a good idea" Manny said shifting his gaze back to Parkis who focused on what he was doing.

"it's not" Parkis agreed to Manny words."A lot suspicious for the day, you'll let him tag along if you were in my shoes" parkis said.

" I know but.. don't you think bringing him back will bring old memories back?" Manny asked concerned towards the current situation of William.

"Every one has an ugly past here," he said as he scattered the documents in the shelf..." we'll be able to make it out before the sun goes down" Parkis said assuring.

"Do you think such idealous document will be kept here, you know its been years now and the last time we came, things screw up" Manny said.

" It was your fault if you had listen to me, we would have gotten this a long time ago." Parkis said accusingly.

"I was only doing what was right" Manny said in a defensive way. his words made parkis stop what he was doing as he turn to Manny.

" I always told you that most times its best to do the wrong things at the wrong time and not right the right thing at the wrong time" Manny said under his breath..he paused for a while to caught his breath before continuing with his statement." we already started this illegally without a certified approval from the authorities to get that file." Parkis said reminding Manny.

Parkis continue what he was doing after a while of searching he found the file.

"This is it!" Parkis exclaimed happily while Manny face brighten up.

"How's that possible to have found it here" Manny asked surprisedly.

" I kept it here the last time we came, hopefully its still here." Manny said.

"We should get going!" Manny said as he walked to William.

WILLIAM POV

I move my hand from one picture to another then I stopped when it got to a particular picture of a lady I kept staring at her until I feel someone behind me knowing who it is already from the scent from his body I could detect it was Manny.

" I feel like I know her " William said

Manny sigh then placed his hand on top of William shoulder. "its time to leave." Manny said shortly before walking out. William followed him, they came out of the house and entered the building entered the car and drove off.
