Chapter 51: Becoming An Adventurer

With a stern face sewn into his expression, Shun told Sephiria's parents the reason why he said those things and why Sephiria was taking his side

After hearing it both complexion of the parents were quite mixed with confusion and worry, soon both Duke Alan and lady Cecile turned quiet for a second as the later party tried to ascertain some few parts for me before they agreed

"Sir.Shun is this crucial? Is going to a dungeon so Crucial? What would happen if something unexpected had happened to the both of you?" Asked Lady Cecile

"Rest assured mam. Nothing bad would happen as long as you don't attract it, and before that yes... . . This will be crucial, as you saw last encounter in the battle Sephiria really lacked battle experience thus I'm trying to fill out this by making her experience full hand, I'll make sure to return her" answered Shun seriously

After that Duke Alan proceeded to asked Shun

"Brat! How are you sure that what you said, you can guarantee it?"

Taking silence for a while Shun calmly answered

"100% sure... . . I'll returned her even if I have to drag my body out of hell"

Next up both of them tried to talk it out with their daughter, but her stern reply told them just how much she put a thought about it and just how much determination she inputted just to say her side

"I will go! It's not because Shun forces me, it's because I wanted to, I can't hide anymore, I want to change, I want to experience a normal school life without anyone talking down on me just because of my circumstances... . . Shun has already said what was wrong with me, and all he needed to do was to tweaked something inside a little while making me experience it first hand, and by doing this I can prove myself that I have changed and when I go back to the academy, I won't be the same loser mage from before who can't even conjure any type of spell" stated Sephiria as she was determined to follow through the plan

After hearing that, it was already obvious what her parents were answer after seeing their daughters passionate speech

Cause of that they approved of Shun's suggestions in exchange he would always prioritize her safety more than anything

After agreeing with them both the parents breaths out in relief and started to prepare some clothes and equipment for their daughters first adventure

Seeing this change in atmosphere both Shun and Sephiria snickered at the sides as they fist bumped each other

Early next morning both of Shun and Sephiria were waved their goodbye's as they goes off towards Adventure, cause this is her first experience Sephiria tightly hugged her parents before joining Shun by the walk side

After that they begun checking if everything they had was already inside their storage

To add more tight security, Shun suggested that she hand over her storage pouch to him as he stored it in his system storage for further security against thugs

As she believed him, Sephiria willingly listened to him while also reminding him not to touch her stuff or else otherwise she'll kill him

After reassuring him, they again proceeded down the road as they travelled down towards the huge city down below the mountain residence of the Duke

To provide more secure security, Shun decided to summon some muscles to act as their guard during the trip, in the end he decided to summon both Garen and Yasuo out

With Garen's stunning knightly figure, no one would dare approached them brazenly, and with Yasuo's silent demeanor, everyone would be wary around him, this ending in a perfect bodyguard for two deadly champions

As expected when they arrived at the city, the guards were immediately intimidated as they were towered by both Garen and Yasuo by a few feet, what else looking at their figure one could say that the two of them have a well built body that can easily suppress the city guards

As they entered no one actually dares to rob them in this huge city, even the things made a second thought when they saw Yasuo and Garen swept their glances around their vicinity

Because of Sephiria's beauty combo, mainly her perfect curve, blonde hair, coupled with her red eyes, plush lips, and fair skin, high boots and enhancing it by her fit sized outfit that was meant for either agility and speed type Sprint

All of this was further intensified when she covered herself with a cloak as this enhanced her mysterious looks from the inside

The reason for this fit sized outfit was to lessen her burden when she try to escape from enemy's, it was already given that boss monsters were smart this they always chose to take out their backline before engaging the front

In order for her to escape quickly, her parents decided to settle for a fit type outfit that would enable her to comfortably kite away from danger

From their perspective the cloak and mage robes were the standard outfit for the mages, but if you thought about it, such clothing was the reason why mages have a hard time just to run away from danger when they don't even have a fast back up cover teammate

Thus she ended in her current outfit

This in turn caused the unecessary stir among the young and single lads in the city, despite the intimidating champions acting as a guard

Some of them actually man up and proceeded to acquire her attention at all

All of them were either after her body, looks, or wealth, seeing from their faces expression and how they were behaving like a bit person trying to attract a girls

They instead took no notice of Shun as they pushed him away and proceeded to talk to her, this in turn causes her to be in distraught as the men kept approaching her inspite her rejecting them

Sephiria was actually in a tight spot since this was her first time, sometimes she could feel chill down her spine as she noticed some of them ogling her body, while some were smiling at her as if trying to attract her

If they only knew her status this men in particular would have likely restrained themselves

Apparently when she saw one person pushing Shun away as if he was an annoying pebble from the roadside, she in turn felt displeased as she wants to go up to the person that pushed Shun away and slapped him by the face

But before she could, the whole atmosphere suddenly changed when in a span of few breaths swords were drawn from three sides of that particular man and pointed at his neck

Apparently Shun didn't take that too kindly, so when he was pushed away, all three guys from their group immediately switched into full on hostility mode as they pulled out their swords, while Shun pulled out his Storm razor and pointed it towards the man's neck

Due to that the atmosphere suddenly turned cold as three entities emitted out a huge killing intent

"I didn't think that city boys are so brazen this time around" said Garen

"Such improper rude behavior! If this was back in Ionia you would have been disciplined... . . Harshly!" Commented Yasuo

"You better watch who your pushing, because you never know... . . It might be your last" threatened Shun

As the surroundings turned silent Shun immediately sheathed his sword and pulled Sephiria out of the crowd while intimidating the people to move aside

When they successfully moved away from them, Shun quickly removed his killing intent and smile back at Sephiria

"So how's that? I was cool back there right?" He asked while smiling sheepishly

For a while Sephiria was at a shocked for how fast Shun's attitude to change, this she shrugged her shoulders as she giggled and replied

"You really scared the daylights out of them"

From that both of them laughed

After a while Shun and Sephiria followed by Yasuo and Garen, finally managed to arrive at the Adventurers Guild of the Kartrik City

Compared to the Adventurers Guild back at Ruric Town, only one word can describe the building

"Huge!!!" Said both Sephiria and Shun simultaneously

Looking at the towering building, Shun himself was left in an awe as he gazed around, apparently the building was as huge a four storied building, but due to it's complex design, this building was infact just two floored building with a long and spacious hall meant for Adventurers

The connected tall building at the back however was for the employees and the administration themselves

In spite their many members of Adventurers, but due to the fact that the hall was spacious and huge, they actually have enough space for people to run around in a carefree manner

Spanning about 220 x 170 m in width and length, while 65 m (213 ft) in height which is exactly the size of a four floor plan architecture

When they were inside both Shun and Sephiria couldn't stop saying "woah" Everytime they looked around

After that with the guide from other Adventurers, both Shun and Sephiria headed straight into the registration counter for Sephiria's registration

As they did they were immediately greeted by a happy go lucky ponytailed receptionist which is apparently popular among the Adventurers for her one redeeming unique features

Suspecting that something might go wrong Shun deliberately moved his gaze away, which made Sephiria think that it was cute that he actually considered her way of thinking

"Hello! My name Amir! I'll be your receptionist especially for new Adventurers for about how long I would like to hold them... . . Are you here to register?" She asked

"Yes! Actually I would like to register as an adventurer, this will be my first time so I hope you could guide me" said Sephiria

Seeing that she was also happy go lucky Amir suddenly brightened up even more as she replied

"Sure thing! If you have a good conduct, I could take care of you forever!" She exclaimed

"Great!" Reacted Sephiria

"Now if you'll please sign up here and after that we'll assess your skills if your worthy to become an adventurer since we need to make sure that you can survive out there and also suggest you some tips" she said

"Is that so? Than gladly" replied Sephiria

This time Amir set her gaze at Shun who has his back turned on her

"Excuse me! Sir? Can I help you?" Asked Amir

Hearing that Shun finally remembered something as he took out his copper plated C-rank Adventurer card as he said

"I would like to have my card also be connected to my old account since I don't want to start back from the bottom, also I got a letter from the Duke indicating that only I can be her party member" said Shun

At first Amir was stunned from hearing the word Duke and started to check the letter, after finding out that it was legit, she begun to process the specific request

At first she somehow was surprised to hear about the Duke coming from a person with a clothing that was actually different from all of them

For a while Shun actually didn't changed his looks from the very first time he arrived in this world thus his redeeming feature was his unique clothing

But as she observed him more, he was actually a calm and approachable person, while sometimes he would squint his eyes which even added to his charming side

When she finished processing everything she begun to lead Sephiria towards the testing site while returning back to her position

Since both her and the guy was left, she tried to push on a conversation

"So... . .in your past history you've made a stigma for yourself?" She asked

"Huh? Ah yes! I was called Gamer! Pretty cliched right? But it was my identity and I'm proud of it" said Shun

"I see, but I hear only people who attained such achievements could get a title, what did you do to attain a title?" Asked Amir

"Me? Well simply put I killed about 100 plus assassin while trying to save a viscount daughter"

"....."

"....."

Due to the unexpected answer both of Shun and Amir was left staring at each other as the former didn't actually expect that at all

Finally mustering up her courage she asked

"So Shun right? Do you like... . .you know a particular girl?"

Hearing that Shun arched up into a smile as he said

"Hohoho! I see! Well then I will tell you girls that consider to my liking and has branded as my own waifu material"

"???"

"Then firstly their names it's Zero two, Onodera, Hinata, Chitanda, Hagoromo Gitsune, Alice, Cha haein... . ."

After a while Shun actually didn't stop his rattling which dazed amir, but just as he ended he suddenly said

"Even thought they are fictional, they will always be my waifu in my heart" he said while pretending to cry in delight

"I... . .I see! looks like your a passionate man for your hobby" she said

"I know right?" Reacted Shun

After that he breath out in delight as he extended a hand

"That was fun! By the way I haven't introduced myself properly! I'm Shun and you are?" He asked brightly

"Umm... . . I'm pretty sure I already introduced myself earlier" she said

But in reply to this Shun said

"Formality! Formality! That's is an introduction for business, not for friendly relationship! So what do you say?" He asked

This time due to the sudden bright atmosphere between them, all of Amir's fan club were in distraught and agony as they saw their idol talking happily to an unknown man

What's worse was that the guy actually extended his hand towards their idol, however the next moment really caused a stir as their idol actually shook the hand of an unknown person for the first time causing two side to form up

The supporters side and the counter new guys side

"Gladly! Then I'm amir! Please take care of me" said Amir

"Likewise!" Said Shun

This time around Sephiria finally finished her assessment and passed with flying colors as she smiled brightly

This in turn causes another stir as another beautiful you lady actually smiled to that guy

As this was done, Shun was already planning for his next step when suddenly he heard a commotion broke out not far from them

Curious the three of them together with the two champions walked over the commotion only something for Shun to see something unique and irritating display

"Oi! We're just talking to her! We're not trying to pick her up! We just informed her about the sudden news of looting changes which resulted to her having a worried and anxious expression" said the tall and well toned adventurer as if he acted as the leader of the party

"Huh? Who would believe your excuse? The way I see it, you were picking her up, plus isn't this the trope? This is trope was always happening whenever there is an isekai happening, then supposedly I'm the chosen one" said the guy with a redeeming feuture of black hair, black eyes, fine average face, and in a school uniform which is literally came from Japan

After seeing this Shun's eyes suddenly constricted into something judging eyes

"Oi!" He reacted

But the guy continued

"Since this is the case then I Nobuya, Asagi will gladly save all of you from the clutch of the demon Lord for I am the hero!!!" He said while spreading his arms in his own gloriousness

This time the crowd started to murmur

"Hero? Demon Lord? What's that?"

But the guy still didn't let up as he continued

"With that I will have my own princess fiancee, followed by other high beautiful noble ladies, a nun, a slave, and especially the girls will flock before me and begging me to join my harem!!! In this world lent to me by god I will create the greatest harem of all and and finally make love with all of them as me as their sole hero and love of their life!!!"

The moment the guy named Asagi said that, Shun finally lost all his remorse as he stared at him with a blank and judging stare

"This guy... . . He actually think this is his own world? This world is like a peaceful world in no need for a hero and a demon Lord, this guy is really aiming for a harem route... . . Just who the fuck is the author who made him the protagonist?" He thought to himself

With that I mind he started to pull out both Sephiria and Amir in order to avoid a commotion, for the reason that the hero might try to involve Sephiria and Amir into his harem, for their looks and beauty

"Let's go he's a lost cause"

But as they were about to get away, the guy named Asagi managed to get a glimpse of both Amir and Sephiria as they were being pulled away by another guy

Licking his lips with the intent to add the into his harem he shouted

"Halt! The man over there, those beautiful girls near you seemed to be being pulled forcefully by you, I suggest you let them decide their own interest... . . It seems they have noticed my awe spiring aura and seemed to have the willingness of joining my very own harem" said Asagi as he caught everyone's attention

Hearing that he intent to add them into his harem, both Sephiria and Amir seemed to be furious about that bold and idiotic thinking of a foreigner

At the same time Shun sigh dejectedly as he prayed to God to give him strength, and finally he turned around to meet the Japanese harem route taker as he thought to himself

"Ah shit! Here we go again"
