Chapter 305: Fire and Ice

"I never expected that we will have to fight here, I thought that we will be the spectators this time"

As Shun said those words, Goran and Rosalyn simply put up their weapon as Shun summoned both I.E and Shiv from the books inventory. The moment all three of them took out their, the person who was standing from far away then introduced herself as if doing such thing is only proper in a fight of this situation.

"My name is Ellen Ferminent, 8th ranked in the rankings of the Ascalon academy boards, I presume that you guys are previous representative Rosalyn, Goran, and the champion Shun?"

Hearing her introduction in surprise, Goran then spoke up.

"What's that got to do with anything?"

"I've seen your fights, and I want to test myself, I ask to challenge all of you" replied by Ellen

"You got to be kidding me, there's three of us and one of you" said by Rosalyn

"Doesn't matter, I'll win anyway"

After stating those words, Ellen then without a single hesitation charged towards all three of them which shocked everyone, as she swung down her sword which was barely blocked by Rosalyn with her own sword.

The moment Ellen did that, Shun then begun to move as he swung Shiv towards Ellen's head, only to miss when the latter chose to dodge the attack by using Rosalyn as a footstep in order to flip herself backwards while launching Rosalyn in the air.

When Ellen landed quite a few feet away, Goran then suddenly came from the side as he smacked down his sword towards her, only to get quickly countered back when Ellen efficiently dodged his swing and countered with 3 fast slashes which was blocked by Goran's shield. However due to the force of the attack, Goran was pushed back by a couple of steps before regaining his balance.

In that small moment Shun charged towards Ellen with both of his weapons as he clashed agaisnt her multiple times, before she did a maneuver which he didn't expect and attacked him when his balance was off. Due to this Shun quickly used blink in order to teleport behind her, before he took a huge breath and let out a fairy flame attack from his mouth.

"Flame breath!!! (Shyvana)"

Unfortunately despite that point blank attack from the enemy's blindspot, Ellen was still able to block the attack when she erupted a huge wall made out of ice in order to offset his flames.

During that situation, Rosalyn managed to get close once more as she imbued flames on her sword and made a huge swing with an intent to slice off Ellen's neck. However Ellen was still able to dodge the swing by quickly ducking down before quickly countering back with a powerful swing herself.

This time however Goran intervened at the right time as she casted a skill which granted a barrier around Rosalyn keeping her safe from Ellen's powerful swing.

"Vanguard!!!"

Upon seeing the situation where she get pincers in three sides, Ellen then quickly backed away, only to realize that both Shun and Rosalyn managed to catch up to her in their respective speeds.

With Shun's slash and Rosalyn's attack, a huge explosion rung out, as Ellen was blown away and crash towards the trees nearby.

"You really overestimated yourself" said by Shun

Even though Shun said those degrading words, Ellen's expression never changed as she muttered.

"Warm ups over"

In that instant a sudden surge of ice suddenly attacked all three of them, causing all of them to be caught in the attack and be frozen in place by thick ice itself. Upon analyzing the ice that is trapping them, Shun noticed that this ice was about 20x more tougher than the ice that as produced by Sephiria. He doesn't know why by since Ellen is not a mage, this must be because of its origin.

Simply put Sephiria's ice is made from magic while Ellen's ice is made from aura. Due to that they have differing proportion with clear distinction. However the main reason why Ellen's ice is much more tougher than Sephiria's is all because there was something mixed in with this initial element.

"Dark element"

A dark elemental aura is a mystical, often malevolent energy field that exudes an air of mystery, power, and foreboding. It is typically associated with forces of shadow, chaos, or negative energy. However there is no evil is this aura but rather pure darkness.

Mixed in with ice elemental aura, this only concludes that Ellen is a dual aura user, something that is rare even in modern fantasy genre.

The moment all three of them got stuck in ice, Ellen then suddenly speed blitz I the middle of their formation and used her own aura to blow away both Goran and Shun down the cliff and unto the chaos below.

Their crash naturally caught the attention of the two academies which warrant a pause in their fight. Soon after whenthe two academies realized that both Shun and Goran came from another academy aside from them, both sides then attacked them even before they managed to get up from falling from such a high place.

Due to that both Goran and Shun were caught into something troublesome in which Rosalyn was left to deal with Ellen alone.

After getting blasted back by Ellen which resulted to her crashing quite far away, Rosalyn then pushed back her hair, as she glared at Ellen and begun to cover her whole sword body with her red mana in order to enhance her own body's capabilities. Since Shun and Goran wasn't there to cover her back, Sha naturally has no choice but to rely on herself in order to fight against a strong enemy.

Of course as a ranked student, Ellen also knew how to enhance her own body's capabilities as she covered her entire body with bluish-white and black mana.

With that both of them faced off once more as Ellen's sole target this time is Rosalyn and the latter is the same.
