Using the same sword technique two times consecutively, Akito was able to knock down all the incoming projectiles that were targeting Iris, as she ran along the field. But just as Akito finished taking down the first volley, another wave soon came as this time, the magic projectiles were aimed at the predetermined path that Iris will take.

In response to those volley of attacks, Akito then quickly cleared the way with his own attack, giving a clear path for Iris to take. However due to his actions, some students watching from afar saw his continuous interference annoying and begun to split their attacks on him and Iris at the same time.

With that Akito crouched deeply unto the ground, as he launched himself forward and used another technique to completely encase both him and Iris with his offensive defense.

Moving as fast like the wind, Akito suddenly seemed to turn into a whirlpool of cherry petals, as he used such technique to parry all the attacks that were coming from all over the place.

Upon seeing that, multiple mages begun to feel agitated, as they summoned a huge magic circle above them, as they intended to blow everything away in just one powerful spell. Unfortunately Akito was able to react fast enough, as he quickly came under the center of the magic circle in the sky and used another technique to silence the spell.

Splitting the magic circle apart, Akito then quickly glanced back at Iris, as he suddenly saw a water spirit appearing before Iris and begun to gush out a huge amount of water which soon turned into a small tsunami. From that scene alone, Akito could already guess that there might be students capable of spirit magic, causing him to be alert and try to save Iris.

However the moment he tried to move forward, he suddenly felt something rooting him to the ground, as he quickly glanced at his foot and saw some vines trapping his foot unto the ground itself.

Quickly cutting down those vines in a single slash, Akito quickly ran up towards Iris as he used another one of his technique in order to fend off the semi tsunami like attack.

"Tomura's First defensive sword form Tamari Mizu (Still Water)"

Under his sword movement, the once raging water then soon calmed down, as if peace has passed through the land. After nullifying that attack, Akito then glared at the water spirit, as he charged forward and cut her down in three slashes. But his Job wasn't done yet, cause at the moment when his attention was fully focused in taking down the water spirit, Someone suddenly released its tamed winged tiger beast towards Iris, causing Akito to quickly recover from the recoil of his continuous use of his movement and quickly come to Iris aid.

So just as the winged tiger was about to pounce on Iris, it's vision suddenly darkened, as Akito literally took out his sight causing everything in its eyes to turn dark.

"Tomura's First Tactical Sword form Megakuramu kuroi karasu (Blinding Black Crow)"

Using this chance when the beast was blinded, Akito swiftly arrived before such monster, as he swung his sword and cuts off its head in a single slash.

"Tomura's First offensive sword form Wansutoraiku (One strike)"

This time sensing the danger approaching Iris, Akito quickly used another one of his technique once again, in order to find out what was approaching them and where.

"Tomura's Third tactical sword form Namiutsu kankaku (Ripple sense)"

The moment he did this, he suddenly sensed multiple people approaching Iris while using stealth, as they plan to take her out with some form of a hidden blade inside their clothes. Based on what he could guess, this must be the students who specialize in Assassination and has class related to it. What's more two such people were closing in on him fast, forcing Akito to kill off his emotions in order to execute his mission to protect Iris and not caring for other people's life.

The moment his attackers appeared behind him with their blades being pulled out from inside their clothes, Akito then suddenly swung his sword behind him without looking back, as he killed off the two student, causing them to be instantly enveloped by a white light and be transported back to the cruise ship.

After taking care of the two attackers, Akito moved into a stance and begun chasing after Iris pursuers.

The moment Akito closed in, the students who were using stealth to sneakily attack Iris, quickly jumped out from their hiding and confront Akito. For them, Akito is a more dangerous person than Iris, after all at this very moment, Akito was exuding a heavy thick killing intent towards them.

However their exchange didn't last long, as Akito used one of his techniques in order to decimate the field.

"Tomura's Fourth offensive sword form 23-Pon no hakai no ken (23 swords of destruction)"

In that moment Akito took down atleast 8 student and protected Iris while under heavy attacks all by himself. Due to that feat that no one can achieve aside from people who had strength to surpass their limits, the whole field turned silent, as the students were shocked by Akito's prowess in his sword.

Now that they had saw him close up and the things he can do, it was no wonder why Akito managed to earn his second place in the last year six academies competition.

With the field in awe of Akito, Iris managed to arrive safely before the loot, causing it to trigger its defensive system and summon the samurai like boss monster which is guarding the piled up loot.

In that moment just as the samurai monster was about to slash down its sword towards Iris, Akito quickly pulled Iris away and blocked the attack with his own body and sword.

Using an attack to offset the force of an attack, Akito was able to held on as he saved Iris from harm and now is facing an enemy he never imagined to encounter.
