Chapter 224: The Exchange Students

[Gritonnia  Academy]

About 3 weeks has passed since the first class regarding the practical magic was held, another issue arose in the academy as the announcement of exchange students arriving in the said prefecture about the day before and is about to join the class till this very day.

Apparently the exchange student came from a different academy outside the circle of four major academy in the country, such an academy is the 'Vitra Academy'. It was said that the Vitra academy is founded by a commoner at the edge of the country's frontier, with its objective of educating commoners and finding a hidden talent among the ordinary. Basically they are searching for diamonds in the rough.

Luckily for them their efforts weren't in vain. After a few struggles, the academy found its own diamond and started to nourish the talent they had acquired. With such process, they soon acquired an achievement of actually making contribution to the society. Not long after their first batch of students  graduated, they soon became well known through the achievements of their alumni and was then held in high regard by commoners.

At this very day and age, the graduate from the said academy is still part of the society that makes major contribution for the greater and betterment of the country.

As a rising star in the field of education, the Vitra academy sent their elites for an exchange student curriculum to give their elites the experience to learn the academy life of an even higher spectrum to schooling. At the same time Gritonnia is obliged to send their own elites towards such a frontier academy to experience their curriculum. All in All about 10 students were exchanged for the quarter of curriculum.

In comparison to Gritonnia academy which has a wide range of professions, the Vitra academy focused on one type of profession and that is magic swordsman. Meaning each and every one of their students as taught on how become a magic swordsman themselves, even their curriculum is mixed with magic and swordsmanship.

This time the center of attention in the academy is circling around the 3rd years of the alpha class. Since the Vitra academy sent their elites for this exchange, it is only proper that they be mixed in with the top of the students in the academy. With that for one quarter of the year, the exchange students will be integrated in the 3rd year alpha class.

Time passed by the final lesson for the day had then been  dismissed as the students are now free to go wherever they like within the premises of the academy. Likewise just like elites themselves, the students from the Vitra academy uniformly and synchrony stood up as they left the class in order. At that point no one knows where they are headed.

In just a day the exchange students themselves became the rumor of the academy , as each and every students of the Gritonnia academy talked about them.

This time located at the otaku club room made by Wendy, a student from the 3rd year alpha class. The whole club themselves begun talking about the exchange students including the three new freshman recruits of the club.

"Geez! Those exchange students from a frontier area is really uptight" complained by Wendy as she chomp on a snack

"Really? are they really that strict on themselves?" asked by Aria

"You better believe it! They're movement and actions are like programmed robots!" replied by Wendy

Upon hearing an unfamiliar term, Aria then tilted her head to the side as she asked about it, which put Wendy on a corner on how to explain it.

"Robot? What's that?"

While Wendy was in a predicament, Shun on the other hand turned towards Millia who was eating snacks together with her other classmates.

"What about on your circle? are those exchange students quite a controversy among the freshman's?"

In response to that, Millia then looked towards Shun as she answered.

"Oh they are famous alright! Really famous"

"During this time, the exchange students are famous due to their antiques" added by Shier

"I see... so even their strictness reached your ears" said by Shun

"Well it is only expected since it is a rumor that they are taught to become a disciplined magic knight back on the frontier" commented by Tony

As the conversation goes on with the topic of the exchange student at hand, Cedric then begun to change the subject regarding what was asked of him earlier in the morning by the prefecture of the academy. Apparently it was required for a club to report the major activities of the club towards the prefectures of the academy.

Through this the academy would know whether the activities of a certain club would be beneficial for the reputation of the academy or not. If it is good, then the club may continue to exist, but if not then the club would have no choice but to dissolve. Basically this is like a process of elimination for any clubs that doesn't contribute for the reputation of the academy.

"Instead of thinking about the exchange students, why don't we discuss how to acquire contributions to the academy?"

"A what?" reacted by everyone

"Apparently we need to show some results whether our club can be beneficial for the academy and right about now, we have no major contribution towards the reputation of the academy... so how do we do this?"

While everyone was shocked and confused on how to actually do what the academy required of their club, both Wendy and Shun on the other hand seemed to understand what Cedric tries to imply. After all such policy is also quite the same in their old world school prefecture

"Now that you mention it, our club do lack activities" muttered by Shun

"So if we want to continue to exist then we would need to have a major activity which would affect the academy in a positive way right?" said by Wendy

"Yes! but sadly convention doesn't exist in this world" complained by Shun

While both the other worlder people discuss things about this, the other members on the other hand were surprised that both Shun and Wendy were serious about this problem. After all for the last couple of club meetings, both people seemed to comfortable and aloof, as if this club was their safe haven. So seeing them serious was quite a shocker, but despite that all of them still had no idea the foreign terms they have used in their exchange of words.

In that moment Wendy stood up from her seat as she snapped her finger s and pointed it towards  Shun.

"I've got an idea... If this world doesn't have the concept of convention, then why don't we just start one our self?"

Hearing her idea, Shun smiled bright like a child as he seemed into the idea of convention. Since both of them finally agreed on something, the others simply let them do what they want to do as they begun to prepare to plan this world's very first convention.
