Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ear-splitting sound of gunfire startled the gunmen, causing a group of them standing in the firing range of the mech to scream and fall down in droves!
Meanwhile, the buyer and seller who were previously standing in front of the makeshift table quickly bent down and took cover on either side of the table.
More accurately, they took cover behind the materials box used to construct the table...
In the midst of the gunfire and cannon blasts, these two individuals almost instinctively bent over and swiftly leaned against the sides of the table, narrowly avoiding the first exchange of gunfire between the two sides.
The lackeys who had been standing beside them earlier had turned into sieves by now, lying lifelessly on the ground not far from where their bosses stood.
"Huh, look at that! It seems like that mech is winning! Those gang members can't even put up a fight against that thing." M1919A4 propped her chin up, boredly watching the mech effortlessly dispatching the gunmen.
At this rate, they didn't even need to lift a finger...
"But they still have plenty of rocket launchers over there. Shouldn't they have no problem dealing with that mech that hasn't finished installing its armor?" G11 glanced ahead, noticing several gunmen hiding behind cover.
Almost everyone had a rocket launcher in hand, seemingly prepared to charge out and unleash a brutal assault on the mech simultaneously.
As soon as G11 finished speaking, the gang members sprang into action, peeking out from behind the vehicles and sending seven or eight armor-piercing rounds flying towards the mech in unison!
Boom!
Several armor-piercing rounds hit the mech almost simultaneously, causing it, which had not been heavily armored to begin with, to tilt backward under the deafening roar!
However, before the mech could fall, the grenade launcher on its other shoulder fired a series of grenades towards the gang members who hadn't had time to discard their launchers yet!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
"Wow, those shots went really far! They almost landed at my feet!"
G11 darted away from her original position, narrowly avoiding three grenades, feeling somewhat relieved.
At this point, AK12 felt that she couldn't just stand by and watch anymore. What were these guys... thinking?
They claimed they wanted to buy the mech, but then they refused to pay, exchanged a few words with the seller, and now they were directly using a bunch of armor-piercing rounds to blow the mech to bits. Did their thought process work in such strange ways?
By doing this, wouldn't they end up with nothing in the end? Oh, wait! There are two more mechs, but did they even inspect them? Do they really trust the seller to bring all three mechs at once?
And... wait a minute! What about the middleman? That scumbag Larry! Where did he go? Could he have been blown to pieces already!?
While constantly mocking the bizarre behavior of these gang members in her mind, AK12 suddenly remembered her mission target! That guy named Larry! He was nowhere to be seen now!
"Angie! Larry's gone!" Seeing this, AK12 couldn't help but shout loudly into the communication device.
"How is that possible!? I didn't see anyone escape from your vicinity!" Angelia, who was using the command equipment inside the helicopter and connected to AK12's visual system, exclaimed. Although she had been slightly distracted by the fighting of those guys just now, there was no way she could have missed it!
AN94 was right beside her!
"Renault! Have you seen..."
"I'm looking right at him, right under my nose. Stop making a fuss, I'm just watching the show." Hearing Angelia's exclamation over the communication device, Renault said in exasperation.
You guys can't see it, but AK12's field of vision is completely blocked by those heavy trucks, so it would be strange if you could see that little rascal Larry.
"Watching the show?"
Upon hearing Renault's words, Angelia and the others couldn't help but be stunned. It's already this late, and there's nothing to watch. Moreover, where can there be...
They were about to say that in such a desolate place, where could there be a good show to watch, but unexpectedly, when AK12 looked up, she saw the two buyers and sellers still facing each other on either side of the materials box.
At this point, both of them had handguns in their hands, trying to shoot at each other from behind the box, but unfortunately, because these two idiots had raised their guns, the bullets couldn't hit each other even if they were sent to the next life.
Both of them were completely unaware of this and continued shooting back and forth.
G11 and M1919A4 had already started recording videos of these two idiots with their phones.
In this firefight, apart from M1919A4 joining in for the fun and taking out a few gang members trying to escape, the rest of the living... probably only those two idiots still stubbornly facing each other like fools.
Oh, and there's Larry, the guy with a knack for signing up for trouble. As for the driver in the mech, he had long since met his end.
"So, you went to all this trouble just to stop these idiotic gang members from getting their hands on the mech? Even if they do, what's the use? With their intelligence level worse than that of chimpanzees, I'm afraid they wouldn't even recognize which one is the control lever in the mech, would they?"
Watching the two idiots emptying their magazines after each other, Renault jumped out of the woods and called out to the others nearby.
Originally, they thought there would be a fierce battle, but it turned out that the enemy was defeated by their own IQ.
As he spoke, Renault didn't walk up to the two idiots who still didn't dare to make a move, but instead walked to a small pit beside the truck and placed a foot on the edge of the pit, before lifting another foot and blocking the top of the pit with a stone the size of a wheel.
Bang!
Seeing the stone blocking the top of the pit, Renault waited quietly for a moment, then, finding no movement, raised his eyebrows nonchalantly.
That little rascal Larry sure could hold his own, no wonder he was so skilled at escaping.
"Hurry up and come over, just take the guy away and it'll be done. Do you want those two idiots? If not, just get rid of them."
Glancing at the two guys who were shouting something towards AK12 and the others, Renault said into the communication device.
As soon as he finished speaking, the helicopter driven by AN94 arrived above the clearing with Angelia.
After finding a clean place to land, Angelia looked puzzledly at the two guys knocked out by AK12.
"This... should I start doing missions alone in the future? Why does every mission I undertake with you end up becoming strange?" scratching her head, Angelia pulled out a few plastic handcuffs from the helicopter and secured the two guys.
"Up to you, anyway, don't even think about avoiding payment this time."
"And what about Larry?"
"He's in that pit over there, with a layer of camouflage on the surface and a layer of bulletproof material underneath. That guy Larry is underneath that."
Pointing to the pit he had just blocked, Renault turned and walked towards the several trucks.
This mission was such a loss, they had to salvage something to make up for it, right?
