Chapter 12: Apocalypse

Closing my eyes waiting for the impact but i felt i was on a warm embrace opening my eyes i was being carried immediately looking up. I saw a beautiful red eyes looking at me "Are you okay" her voice sounded sweet to my ears i only noded unconsciously and she gently put me down.

I was still in a daze looking at her "Rooooaaarrr" the roar snap me out and looked over the zombie king. "My my are you jealous" the girl said to the zombie jokingly i blush slightly. The zombie king charge towards us she immediately used her water ability and attempt to drown the zombie.

"Riaahhhhsjdjdj" the zombie king tried to escape but it was useless after a few minutes it drowned. The girl release the zombie and opened his head taking out a level 2 evolution stone. Then she walk towards me "Here" she said handing me the evolution stone. Her red eyes look red as blood giving a dangerous look and her aura is leaking a dangerous feeling. I was about to refuse but she took my hand and put the evolution stone on my hand.

"It's your's" she said firmly and i took it. "Thank you for saving me my name is Nan Yue" i said softly looking at her properly her beautiful silver hair, her red colored eyes, delicate face with a cute button nose, thin eyebrows and thin rosy lips she looked so beautiful like a goddess. In all my life I never meet someone this pretty. I want to make her mine.... but in reality hit me hard I don't know who she is, but i was charmed.

'I have to get her name'

"Can i know your name"

"....."

"....."

"Su Meng" she said shortly.

Su Meng I whispered in my heart making sure to remember it.

"Are you collecting supplies" she asked and i noded then we both went to the grocery store. I start putting supplies on my backpack i saw Su Meng swipe her hand in the air the instant noodles infront of her immediately disappear. I was stupified she had two abilities

"Su Meng can i call her Xiao Meng" i said softly she noded "Xiao Meng do you have two abilities" i ask nervously I don't want her to think I'm preying her.

"Yes but keep it a secret okay" she said coldly but to me it was a sweet voice I don't know why. I noded and continue collecting food after i filled my bag it was heavy when suddenly Su Meng took my bag easily and store it in her space

"won't your space be filled up i can carry it" said persuading her but she only patted my head.

"Don't worry i have a lot of space to store more supplies" said normally.

"Would you like to team up with me" she suddenly asked we are eating in a restaurant i immediately looked at her

"Really i would love to" said excitedly then i heard her giggled *Bathumb* my heart suddenly skip a beat i think i just heard a melody.

After we we finished eating we went to a nearby hotel to rest. Inside the room was two beds near each other "You can take a shower first" she said i noded and went inside the bath.

After i finish bathing i went out the bathroom and saw Su Meng removing her weapon gears" Xiao Meng I'm done you can go now" said softly she noded and went inside the bathroom. While waiting for her i started absorbing the evolution stone.

*Click*

Hearing the click i look towards the bathroom and saw an angel came out the bath her face was slightly red and looked so smooth with her lips slightly open. My heart started beating fast, my palms was getting sweaty i was confused why i felt this way towards her but i immediately looked away. Then i heard the hair dryer on i was calming my mind when i didn't notice

"Are you okay Xiao Yue your face is red" i flinch and saw Su Meng infront of me. My heart started racing again.

"I.... I'm fine" said nervously she didn't ask anymore questions and sat infront of me on my bed.

"How about let's get to know each other" she ask first

"Okay" i agreed i also want to know her more

For the whole night we were getting to know each other.

(Pei Wei's POV)

It's been a month since the apocalypse and i created a team with Zhen, Lyn and Dale. We were going towards A base when we spotted two girls killing zombies one was using ice while the other was using a black sword on the road, i stop the car and went out with my teammates. Before we could help they had killed the last zombie then started collecting the evolution stone.

"Excuse me" i said getting thier attention they both turned and look at us. I was stupified in my place a beautiful skyblue eyes looked at me with innocent i felt my heart beating that never beat for anyone, while the other girl was wearing a mask so i can't see her face.

"Do you need something" the girl asked coldly making me sober

"I would like to recruit you both in my team" i said gently ignoring her tone. His teammates was shocked they always hear his cold tone but he actually used gently talk to the girl infront of us.

Lyn frowned this month she started liking Pei Wei more and more she confessed but she was rejected. In the original story Lyn and Su Meng cooperated together and made the female leads life always endanger. Lyn died a painful death, instead to being pushes towards a wave of zombies the author didn't write how she died and Su Meng didn't have any memories since she died first.

The girls infront of us looked at each before they answer

"Okay, my name is Nan Yue and this is my friend Su" she said i was happy i got to know her name.

"Welcome to the team I'm Pei Wei the leader and this are our teammates Zhen, Lyn and Dale" i said introducing everyone on the team

"Nice to meet you all" both the girls said then bow

"May we know what your abilities are" i asked softly

"My ability is ice" Nan Yue said normally

"Mine is space" The girl Su said coldly

"How much can your space store" i immediately ask so she can store some of our supplies that we kept in the car to free up some space. Though they are new and not sure if they are trustworthy but my intuition told me they are, since childhood my intuition is always right that i inherited from my father.

"My space is as wide as 3 mansions put together" Su said

"Really then can you store some of our supplies" i said then lead her to the back of the car and she swipe her hand and it disappear.

"Okay, everyone we have to find a hotel for tonight" i said sounding like a leader to impress Nan Yue. The car is spacious enough for all of them to sit. They all agree and we all got inside the car and drove to a near hotel, parking the car we all went inside the hotel.

"Okay everyone go find a room for yourselves" i said then all of them pick a room.

(Su Meng POV)

I told Nan Yue about getting revenge but i only told her that he betrayed me she understand and i also told her that i would build my own base she immediately agree. So the day when the female lead join i would also join,(i was wearing a mask i purchased from the system) and we did.

We are now on the hotel and Nan Yue was together with me in a room it was single bed. We finished taking a bath and Nan Yue was nervously sitting on the bed. I find it cute

"Why are you nervous baby" said teasingly and she turned red

"I.... I'm not" she said sturred looking at me

"Relax, it's not like I'm going to eat you" i said seductively near her ear then lick her earlobe slight. She immediately flinched then push me away gently from her ears and saw her turning even redder like a tomato. I laugh at her making her pout

"hahahahah your so cute baby" said teasing without letting her speak i hug her and put her head on my chest

"S...su" she said blushing

"Sleep now tomorrow were going to travel to A base" i said then close my eyes and went to sleep. Thana was watching thier show and was satisfied if the host wants to hit on the female lead then I'll help kekekeke.

Nan Yue was laying down on Su's chest and smelled a comforting scent from her. Her heart was beating fast but she felt comfortable slowly she move closer to Su Meng and slowly fell asleep.

The next day Nan Yue woke up first opening her eyes she saw Su Mengs sleeping face she look like a baby when she's asleep. I was just staring at her I'm like memorizing every inch of her face.

I felt someone staring at me i half opened my eyes and saw Chen Lou "Sleep a bit more honey" i said then peck her lips and continue sleeping she thought she was still in the previous world and kiss her. Nan Yue was stunned her face turned red 'My first kiss i can't believe Xiao Su kiss me. Her lips felt so soft and sweet' thought. I didn't move after she kissed and just stare at her.

Awhile later she woke up "Good morning baby" teasingly said "Stop teasing me" she said and i laugh blissfully.

[Good morning host] Thana said cheerfully

"Good morning Thana" said while stretching

[Host I want to congraduate you for taking the first step] Thana praised i frowned confused. Thana saw confusion on my face

[The host had taken the first kiss of the female lead] Thana said making me stop what I'm doing for a bit

"Was it the kiss when i was half asleep" ask for confirmation

[Yes host] affermative. After we took a bath someone knovk on our door.

"Nan Yue Su are you both awake" a voice outside asked Nan Yue opened the door and saw Lyn outside the door "Good morning" Lyn greeted with a fake smile we both noded and meet at the lounge.

"Thana keep an eye on Lyn starting from now on"

[Affermative host]

I pulled out some of thier supplies of food and separate from ours.

"We need to stop by for fuel we only have 10 liters left" wei said seriously after we finished eating

"We saw a store with fuels nearby here" Nan Yue said pointing towards north

"Alright then and hopefully store more supplies" Al said lazily we drove to the store that has fuel stored.

"I'll go inside and get some barrels we can put more fuel" coldly said then took out my sword from my waist

"Woah what kind of sword is that" Dale ask curious looking at the sword

"It's a gift from my father who said that it was made by an unknown blacksmith" said half true

"Ohhh lucky" he said with envy

"I'll go with you Su" Nan Yue said wanting to accompany me i only noded

Then we walk inside the store swinging my sword to the in coming zombies and Nan Yue as support she send ice spicks long range. We went to the basement and saw some empty barrels of cans i swipe my hand and store them. Before we left we collected some nucleus from the zombies then we walk out.

"I found 10 more barrels" said then took out the barrels from my space

"Great job" wei said then fill all the containers with fuel and put them in my space. We have a total of 30 containers after filling the car rank we continue driving towards the Base.

Suddenly i remember in the story tonight we will camp out the forest and got ambushed by a level 3 zombie king, Pei Wei and Nan Yue separated from the team and got trap inside a bunker only to be rescued by people of A base.

The car stop and we all went out "It's not safe to drive at night so we'll camp here for tonight" wei said and i took out all the tents and sleeping bags for each one. "Nan Yue would you like to sleep with me" i whispered in her ear and saw her ears turned red but she noded.

We set up our tents and i cooked some food when i was alone the pass month a purchased the skill for cooking

"Su this is so good" Zhen said praising my dish

"Thank you" i responded still cold

"Hmmmmm..... Thisshhh tastehh heavenlshy" Dale said with his mouth full

"I agree this taste so good " Pei said

"When did you learn to cook" Lyn asked while eating

"A month ago" i shortly answered and she just noded.

"Alright now it's time to go to bed, we'll take turns of who will protect while the other's are sleeping. You all go to sleep I'll be the first to watch over" wei said and noded

Nan Yue and I went to our tent and layed down she put her head on my chest hugging me and we both drift off to sleep. Su has a comfortable scent that can calm and feel safe when Nan Yue smell it, reassuring her that she can put her guard down to her.

It was 3:00 in the morning and it's my turn to watch over i sat down infront of the fireplace for a while when suddenly.

"Rooooaaaaarrrrr" a loud roar woke everyone up and prepared for battle. I took out my sword and started slashing zombies one after the other. The others activated there abilities and send out a lot of long range attack, but there were too many of them. In the corner of my eye i saw Pei Wei and Nan Yue slowly being separated, so i dash towards them killing zombies on the way. But Pei Wei still separate from us

"Lyn go help Pei Wei we'll keep this zombie busy so go help him" i shouted at her she immediately run towards Pei Wei while i held Nan Yue's waist firmly.

"Baby your making me jealous" i said pouting cutely at her

(Nan Yue's POV)

When we were being separated from the team Su help us but Pei Wei still separate from us. Then i felt a strong yet warm hands firmly holding me around my waist i blush but i like it when she's so close to me, my heart accelerated even more.

"Lyn go help Pei Wei we'll keep this zombie busy so go help him" she shouted at Lyn and went to help Pei Wei. I felt her move closer and said

"Baby your making me jealous" she said pouting cutely at me *Thud* an arrow hit me hard 'How can someone be so cute' i shouted at my thought. Then i realize she said she was jealous this made my heart felt sweet as honey was pouring down covering my heart.

I kept quite then she speak again.

"Nan Yue I like you" she said seriously looking at me firmly my eyes widen and my heart beat speed up.

"I...." I didn't know what to say

"It's okay I'm not forcing you to return my feelings but i hope you'll let me love you, and if you won't feel the same then i will give up" she said firmly the look on her eyes was soft making me want melt.

"O...okay" i noded agreeing

But I'm worried what if she found out that I'm a zombie that has consciousness will she hate me or worse will she leave me. I don't want that i know to myself that I'm starting to fall for her, but i want to make sure that i wont hurt her in anyway before deciding the next step.

I didn't even notice that Su was still holding me while she was fighting the zombies. After a while we all sat down and absorb some evolution stone's to repelish our energy.

"Let's go find Pei Wei and Lyn they didn't return yet" Dale said and we all walk towards the direction of where Pei and Lyn disappeared.

Looking around we saw some dead zombies we followed the trail.

(Lyn's Pov)

When Su shouted that i should help Pei i immediately went towards him and kill some zombies but we are being pushed back our energy was almost depleted. Then i saw bunker "Pei there's a bunker up ahead" said then we immediately got inside and close the bunker.

"Take out some of your evolution stone and absorb them so we can repelish our energy" Pei said and we both absorb the stone repelishing our energy. We were about to open the bunker but it was sealed tightly

"Pei the door won't budge" i said trying to open it again we did everything but it was futile

"Damn it" Pei said cursing

"Pei don't worry I'm sure our teammates are looking for us" said comforting him he was silent

"Pei you know that i like you right" i said softly he is still quite i move towards him and put him hand on my chest. It was dark inside the bunker there was no light

"What are you doing" he said coldly

'Does he not feel it do i have to be bolder' thought then i sat down his lap.

When suddenly the door of the bunker opened

"Look do we have here" a big guy said and saw our teammates looking at us. I immediately got up from him embarrassed and we both went out the bunker.

Pei immediately went towards Nan Yue "Are you alright" he said softly to her making me jealous and mad. He spoke coldly at me but to her yu spoke softly. I clench my fist and glare at Nan Yue

(Nan Yue's part)

When the bunker opened we saw Lyn sitting on Pei's lap and they both got out and pei immediately went towards me asking me if I'm fine i only noded.

'i didn't know they had a relationship'

Then i saw Lyn glared at me i was confused

I was holding Su's hand i really like feeling her warm on me.

(Pei Wei's POV)

The guy that help us was a member of A base so we went back together with them.

"Before you enter you have to pay 30 evolution stone's for all of you after that you won't have pay again if you enter the base" he explained

"I understand brother Li" i said and we pay 30 evolution stone's and we went inside.

"Chief the boss wants to see you" a boy run towards our direction

"I see, well then will you show this newcomers around and help them settle in" brother Li said then left

"Please follow me i will tell some of the things here. First, when we pay for the house we use evolution stone's as payments. Second, you need to get contribution points by completing tasks. Third, with your contribution points you can pay for your bills, foods and clothes." He stated

We listen to him while walking towards a house

"This is where you'll all stay, if you need anything just to the reception to find me" he said then left.

"Alright now that we got a place let's rest for an hour and meet here in the living room" i said we are all tired for being ambushed.
