The jet landed in New York, dropping off Storm, T'Challa, and Batroc. Storm invited her to visit Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters when she had the time. In response, Daisy could only chuckle and promise that she would visit when she could.

The panther goddess couldn't take her eyes off the bustling streets of New York. While Wakanda's technology was advanced, its population was small, and it couldn't compare in terms of liveliness with New York. She had seen similar things for thousands of years, so the novelty had worn off.

She expressed that the movie project could wait. She had been in Wakanda for a long time and now wanted to explore the world. She told Daisy that after her adventures, she would come find her.

Daisy was confident in the goddess's abilities, knowing that she could easily handle most people.

She flew back to Washington in the jet, needing to report the Wakandan matters to Fury and also deliver the gift from her "African friends."

However, she couldn't bring the rhino into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters. The rhino was skittish, and any sudden movement might trigger aggressive behavior. The headquarters had many civilians, and any accidents would be hard to explain.

She had to call Fury to meet her outside the headquarters.

Half an hour later, Nick Fury arrived at the meeting point Daisy had suggested, her place in Washington. After some effort, Daisy managed to get both Red Tank and the rhino into the garage.

Upon arrival, Nick Fury found Daisy playing with the young lion.

The lion was nervous in this unfamiliar environment, looking left and right, unsure where to run.

"Let's call you 'Soup Bun' from now on!" She stroked the lion's fur, coming up with a name.

The lion looked at her in confusion. Was this a name? Daisy nodded, affirming that it was now its name.

The lion was sensitive to danger and was startled when Nick Fury entered the garage. It quickly moved behind Daisy, peeking out cautiously.

"What couldn't you discuss over the phone? Ah... this guy looks robust. Is he a result of some genetic experiment?" Nick Fury's gaze skipped over the lion and the rhino, unimpressed by the unusual creatures. After all his years of global travels, he had seen all sorts of creatures.

But the towering figure of Red Tank, almost three meters tall, did catch his attention. Human beings could be this large and muscular? He had his doubts.

Daisy had to explain Red Tank's abilities. She knew he wasn't a lab creation, but she lacked solid evidence. She briefly mentioned Storm's suspicion of something sinister within him.

Whether he was sinister or not, Nick Fury didn't really care.

"Is there a chance this big fella could be turned into one of us? According to you, he's not very intelligent."

Daisy hesitated, uncertain. "We haven't really talked. We started fighting as soon as we met. Maybe? Who knows?"

Who knew to what extent S.H.I.E.L.D. could control Red Tank? Maybe a few dollars could buy his loyalty? After all, if he could accept employment from Hydra, he might accept employment from others too. Who knew? She'd let Fury figure it out.

Nick Fury's one eye met the small eyes of the rhino as they exchanged a glance. He couldn't quite fathom why Daisy had a rhino hidden in her garage, but he understood that many agents had their quirks under pressure. He cautiously inquired, "What's with the rhino?"

Daisy instantly perked up at the topic. Excitedly, she said, "It's a gift from your fellow Africans to welcome you."

"Fellow Africans?"

"Yeah, that's right."

Daisy's words triggered a wave of memories in Nick Fury. After so many years as a spy, he had undoubtedly been to Africa numerous times. His missions often brought him into contact with various people and situations.

While Daisy saw Nick Fury as having a rather unremarkable appearance, looking like an egg, in the eyes of African women, he exuded the charisma of a mature man. Besides, having lost an eye only added to his ruggedness. With his skills and high position of authority, he exuded an air of dominance, making him somewhat popular.

Names like the wife of a Zambian tribal leader or the daughter of a Zimbabwean general were thrown out, but Daisy shook her head, indicating those were not the sources.

"Who could it be from then? Just tell me, Agent Johnson," he said, growing tired of guessing.

"It's a gift from the Wakandan royal family to S.H.I.E.L.D.," Daisy presumed Nick Fury knew some details.

And indeed, he did. He recalled, "The legendary Kingdom of Gold, as recorded by the ancient Ethiopians?"

Daisy was unaware of this piece of information, so she explained, "It's a technologically advanced nation."

Nick Fury automatically brushed aside the term "technologically advanced." He believed that even if it was advanced, it probably had its limits. However, he did remember something else, "According to S.H.I.E.L.D. records, during World War II, an arsenal of advanced weapons was delivered to Ethiopia. Was that their doing? Who's behind them? The Brits or the French?"

Daisy was taken aback, surprised that the tough and pragmatic Nick Fury was interested in his homeland's history.

Ethiopia was one of the very few African countries to have successfully repelled colonial forces in history. While their main adversaries had been the Italians, Daisy was aware of this history. She had just never connected it to Wakanda.

She wasn't sure if Wakanda had been involved, so she gave a vague response, "They did indirectly participate in World War II. Captain America's shield, its the raw material, comes from Wakanda."

At the mention of Captain America, Nick Fury's attention snapped back to the present. He pondered for a moment before asking, "There's indeed a legend of a mysterious kingdom in Africa, but most people consider it a myth. You've been there? You just came from there?"

"Yeah," Daisy nodded.

"This country possesses rare metals? It's a resource-rich nation?"

"Not entirely. They've developed quite well based on their resources..."

"How well?"

Daisy struggled for words, uncertain of how to describe the peculiar social structure in Wakanda where advanced technology coexisted with relatively modest living standards.

Then a thought struck her. She retrieved her cloak from her backpack, draped it around herself, and with a flourish, activated a faint blue energy shield right before Nick Fury's eyes.

"An energy shield!"

Nick Fury was genuinely surprised. He hadn't expected his African compatriot to possess such a game-changing piece of equipment.

"How could they have developed an energy shield? You know, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research on energy shields is still in its early stages..." Nick Fury was perplexed, unable to fathom how a secluded nation like Wakanda had managed to develop cutting-edge technology.

Daisy stood her ground and recounted the entire situation, leaving out the classified parts. She explained everything from start to finish, attributing the request to her biological father. Then, she made an unexpected discovery...
