Grant Ward hadn't attended S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy; he was entirely self-taught, setting him apart from their more formally educated colleagues.

However, he occasionally returned to the headquarters, and Daisy had arranged a meeting time over the phone.

Surprise, astonishment, confusion—these were the initial reactions of the agents upon receiving an invitation to participate in a movie, and Ward was not an exception.

As a seasoned Hydra spy, he still felt somewhat baffled upon receiving the news.

"Why am I supposed to play the male lead? I've never acted before." The two met at a cafe within headquarters. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, he asked, somewhat amused.

Daisy snorted; "You've never acted? Your whole life is an act! From start to finish, with your acting skills, you could easily compete with those award-winning actors."

Of course, she couldn't say these words out loud.

"Mr. Ward, your image fits the script's requirements perfectly—handsome, charismatic, ruggedly defined, skilled, and possessing a sense of justice. These are all your strengths."

Ward's immediate response was to decline. He hadn't heard of any spy becoming an actor; that would be far too conspicuous.

However, as a member of Hydra, he knew how much Nick Fury valued the three women. Although he couldn't predict who the director would ultimately choose, this was a chance to closely interact with Daisy Johnson, analyse her various traits, personality, preferences, and even assess the possibility of recruiting her to their side. Hydra wouldn't let go of such a golden opportunity.

The Hydra higher-ups were desperate for Daisy's intelligence. As a spy, he had no right to refuse.

Ward maintained a gentle smile on his face, while his mind was already racing.

Sensing he had taken too long to think, he lifted the script, indicating that he was still reviewing the character information.

Having undergone training from both S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, he had a swift reading pace. Leveraging his spy skills, he roughly outlined the character of Dr. Grant in the script within a matter of seconds.

It had to be said; this character's portrayal was rather similar to him.

As the adopted son of Hydra high-ranking member John Garrett, Ward didn't hold much loyalty toward Hydra. He followed Garrett's orders throughout, whether it was being a hero or a villain, it depended on Garrett's commands.

However, no matter how highly Garrett regarded him, Garrett was just a small fish in the grand scheme. When higher-ups demanded his spies to carry out missions, he had to obey.

Caught in a dilemma, Grant Ward felt like he was being pushed to the edge of a cliff.

Taking a step forward was highly likely to expose him. Stepping back, Hydra would eliminate him, and perhaps even his adoptive father along with him.

He had no room for choice.

Having worked at S.H.I.E.L.D. for many years, Grant Ward had entertained thoughts of being a hero in his heart, but reality didn't permit him to act on it.

Perhaps he should adjust himself a bit? He felt a bit uncertain.

After sorting his thoughts, he asked Daisy, "What if there are missions during the filming?"

"You won't be assigned any missions." She had already discussed this with Nick Fury.

Ward inquired again, "What about the agent's real appearances appearing on the screen? How should I handle my future career?"

There was no need to worry about this either. Americans suffer from severe face blindness! Like how Superman puts on glasses and Wonder Woman wears her hair differently, and nobody recognises them. While it's a bit more challenging here, face blindness still exists.

"Mr. Ward, you can keep some facial hair. Our makeup techniques can also make you look a bit older than your actual age."

At this point, Grant Ward couldn't come up with an excuse to refuse; he could only express his willingness to participate.

Without further ado, Daisy led him to Coulson's side for an audition. It had to be said, even though Ward didn't want to reveal his true side, his image of brash impulsiveness, along with his subtle acting skills, garnered unanimous praise.

Within the cast, Daisy also recognised a familiar face: Agent May, who had taught Daisy a lot of hand-to-hand combat.

While Americans viewed Daisy as an 8 out of 10 in terms of beauty, in their eyes, Melinda May was a super beauty, with her strong and sculpted features making her stunningly attractive!

She was constantly surrounded by people asking about her and offering kind words. Recently divorced from her husband due to personal issues, she had been wearing a cold expression. She requested a transfer to a non-field position, and as a good friend, Phil Coulson had brought her into the cast and casted her in a role—Captain of the billionaire's security team.

Daisy looked at the cast, full of characters she knew, Coulson, May, Ward, Fitz, Simmons, and herself—S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were all there, and the first movie could start filming right away!

With the male lead settled, Daisy contacted her mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, and decided to entrust the role of Dr. Hammond to the old man.

"An elderly man who misuses genetic technology?" Dr.Pym looked a bit puzzled when he received the script she sent him. At his age, why would he bother with acting in a movie?

"Yes, to remind ordinary people to have a sense of awe. Dr. Hammond is too idealistic and ends up causing his own downfall. I think this role suits you well." Daisy extended a sincere invitation.

It had to be said, this role struck a chord with Dr.Pym. It cautioned ordinary people and scientists to have reverence, a theme he thought was quite good. After a brief moment of contemplation, he agreed.

Daisy convinced Dr.Pym to join the cast, and before leaving, she secured a five-million-dollar sponsorship from Yale University for a laboratory scene that needed to be shot on location there.

Easily pocketing five million dollars, Daisy left Yale with a sense of amazement. Backed by S.H.I.E.L.D., making money was truly a breeze.

If Nick Fury hadn't established private secret bases worldwide, he would have become the world's wealthiest man a long time ago!

With the main cast essentially in place, the remaining two young actors couldn't be found among the agents.

A boy and a girl—both young actors fully embodied the term "rascals," screaming and acting recklessly in their roles.

Finding suitable child actors wasn't easy; S.H.I.E.L.D. had no agents in that age range, so Daisy had to look elsewhere.

Actor unions have stringent protections for minors, so the actors she chose needed to be spirited, and their parents couldn't be too difficult.

After some searching, she managed to find a pair—Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker, two adolescents both aged eleven. They were perfect for their roles.

Daisy decided to meet with them first and then persuade their parents.

She didn't see Peter Parker in the classroom, so she spent ten dollars to find out his whereabouts.

The situation was quite simple; it was the usual story of bullying in the schoolyard. Peter had been bullied by a classmate named Flash Thompson but had fought back bravely. Now both the aggressor and the defender were taken away by the teacher.

After learning his location, Daisy headed towards the teacher's office.
