Chapter 325 - Similar names

"It's night now huh? I think it's best if I help Saki get home."

After spending the remaining time around the mall and enjoying a fun moment. They had not realized the night was already set. 

Caelum didn't want the young girl to go home alone without knowing her fate and wanted to see if the people in her home had any hidden intention.

He felt livid how they hadn't tried helping her the least. Caelum guesses her family is not right in the head and would devise a plan to let her leave. 

It made them infuriated as parents for neglecting their purpose for being parents. He also did not want to leave the Nakano sisters but knowing they had more people while Saki would go home alone thus choosing the latter is better.

The Nakano felt slightly disappointed and jealous but understood as they share the same home while Saki had a separate place. 

"Yeah, I think it's if you help Saki get home. It helps explain why she has gotten this late."

"How we exchange numbers first. Here's mine."(Itsuka)

"Let's hang out another time, Saki-san!"(Yotsuba)

"Here."(Miku)

"It's been really fun, make sure to call me if you need any help from big sister Ichika."

"Y-Yes, I also had fun. Thanks for today."

Saki made a wholesome smile that needed to be protected no matter the cause while caressing the necklace around her neck.

After Exchanging numbers, the Nakano Sister returned home leaving Caelum to escort Saki home as it was a bleak night. 

Saki realizes that she was now alone with the young man that she was developing feelings for.

Caelum looking at her felt delighted yet infuriated that she was far too innocent that already obsessively fell in love with him.

This trait of hers could have been taken advantage of by anyone as she is the type of person who only gives and never receives. He won't deny her feelings and would gladly protect them. 

"I live at xxx xxx on xxxx street."

"That's close by, let's get going."

He took her hand, surprising her by letting it enjoy the warmth of his hands. They strolled the streets then spotted a Taiyaki vendor and decided to buy one.

Caelum was craving a bit of sweet and decided to buy one along with gifting it to Saki's parents and the rest for himself.

"Here, eat it before it gets cold."

"Ah thank you, Masa-san. Delicious."

The two continued their stroll while eating the taiyaki before arriving at a simple modern Japanese home good for 3 to 5 people.

"This is where you live huh?"

Moments later the door burst open and two people came out. One was a youthful woman with short hair that had the same face as saki while the other was a middle-aged man with receding hair but Caelum's eyes turned grim.

'His a Molester huh?'

His desire to kill the man causes him to shudder under his gaze that any action would result in death. Caelum absolutely despised anyone doing anything on a woman. 

He may be perverted but never go too far unless those girls are evil and need to be tamed. His face contorted in a friendly smile yet the hidden intention was there.

"Ah, are you Saki-san parents?"

"Saki, is that you? You've changed! What happened? Also, who is this handsome young man?"

"Eto..ano.."

Her mother was surprised to see how beautiful her daughter had become, especially the hairstyle that complimented her glasses. She didn't have any makeup and only her natural beauty.

Meanwhile, her father had complicated feelings seeing saki's new look and had hidden desires but every time he thought of doing anything to her felt a rope tighten around his neck. 

Caelum uses his Qi to apply a curse at the molester that every time he thinks of anything towards her daughter or anyone else his life slowly fades. It only works on people who have a large amount of negative karma in their life.

"Firstly, I must apologize for bringing her so late, and second, my name is Caelum Mercer, and a friend of Saki. Here, have this as an apology."

After introducing himself handed the paper bag filled with Taiyaki towards Saki's Mother. She was surprised to hear foreigners' names and looking at him closely did make it clear he wasn't Japanese.

"It's fine at least, she seems to enjoy herself. How about you come inside?"

"I would love to but I still have an errand to go to."

"Is that so. Thank you for this. Saki, are you heading inside?"

"Uhmmm…I want to talk to Masa-san first."

Her mother nodded, heading along with her husband who slowly felt his life slipping away. Caelum made sure his death appeared to be natural and afterward collect his soul. 

Now alone, Saki fidgeted with her fingers contemplating her next action but sealed her heart and proceeded to pull Caelum's shirt.

"Is there anything you wanted to say?"

Saki didn't respond then went for a kiss on his cheek then her face turned red hue becoming flustered and getting inside her home.

"I'll be damn…."

Caelum muttered before taking out his talisman that had Saki's name into their head before activating it and flying into her home. It protects her from bullies or any ailment that may come. 

"I guess I'll be having some Oyakodon soon."

He jokingly said before heading back home upon arrival Caelum spent the next couple of hours training his senses and reaching out to his Jade Pagoda that gradually grew closer to accessing it. 

The next two remaining days, He spends teaching and bonding with the Nakano Sisters and Saki using her phone. Caelum found out that people started to befriend her which promptly warned her to trust anyone.

He made sure that the talisman gave her some sense when detecting who to trust and who is not. 

Saturday, Caelum, exercising drenching in sweat, once again heard his phone ring, ending his training session to answer the call.

"Oh Miko, are you at the entrances?"

"Yes, I'm alone, right now. Hana caught a cold today."

"I'll be right there." 

Caelum dried himself first and took his shirt before heading down to get Miko. Once he arrived and spotted Miko talking to someone.

"Miko!"

""Yes?""

Both of them said at the same time before blinking at each other. A few minutes later, Miku was walking back home after grabbing something from a convenience store and spotted Miko.

"Is there someone you're looking for?"

"Ah, yes he's someone who lives in this place. Perhaps you know him?"

"Is this person's name, Caerum masa?"

"Yeah! Are you a friend of his?"

"Yes, he is also our tutor and classmate."

"Is that so? I almost forgot to introduce myself…"

As Miko was about to introduce herself heard her name being called and was surprised that both of them responded at the same time causing the two to blink at each other.

"Wait, what was your name again? Mine is Miko Yotsuya."

"Miku Nakano, we have similar names…"

"Glad you arrived safely Miko and how are you today, Miku?"

"I'm fine, thank you. Well, I'll head first see you."

Miku seemed jealous and didn't have time to look at Caelum who understood that expression but didn't mind and focused his attention on Miko. 

"Before we get inside, are you sure you want to learn the other method?"

"Yes, I want to stop that creature from letting me have a normal life."

"Let me tell you this since it would hurt you but the truth is...you cannot have a normal life."

She felt her body go cold hearing his words. Caelum tells the truth as it would only be possible once he acquired his full power but by then her sanity would either die or the ghost would consume her.

"I-Is there any other way? I just want to live freely…"

"I'm sorry, the other methods would only help you control your ability but in the end would not remove your powers."

Miko had to make a choice and is currently in inner turmoil with herself. She questions her life and why acquire the ability in the first place. It felt unfair and was alone in the world.

"You don't need to stress yourself. Miko, you're not alone. Even with this ability, it's still possible for you to live normally. "

His words pulled her from the inner turmoil and felt herself breaking a shackle holding her back. She accepted her words knowing that the person before him was like her.

"How about we head inside to further discuss it."
