Training Pokemon

For a while I have read over all the cut and paste concepts on the Pokemon world trying to make the host strong as well as his Pokemon using the gamer system. I understand it's a dangerous world and you want to give the MC extra plot Armour. I thought about this and realized that the host would rarely fight in matters that needed strength except in situations that dealt with Legendaries. If that becomes par for course though in the story. What's the point of making this a long term novel that deals with the growth of a character. I would've set this as a short novel that deals with an overpowered MC that one shots all situations that need it. Also I wish to point out that Pokémon have sentience. The world also has abundant food with berries being around and the things that happen in Pokedex's in the games, I'm gonna try to stay partially away from as this is rated at a rating lower than 18+. (That's mostly because I find cursing unnecessarily to be just plain bad etiquette. I can understand if it happens when something bad occurs and you can't control your mouth. But flippant use of them just to annoy people is just that. Annoying...) The original story is also about friendship, journeying, and finding a purpose in the world they're in with their friends. Sabrina, Dawn, and May deal with contests. While Ash, and Iris love battling. Brock even finds a purpose on his journey as a breeder fully going into the field instead of just pursuing it as a side hobby like before when he had to take care of his brothers. As such I find it, while not useless for writing. A complete disappointment and withdrawal from the nature of what this world represents. What with hope and friendship being these main parts, and if you're fighting every creature you meet into submission. How is it possible for you to truly bond beyond servant and subject. Another thing is inside this story I will not limit the host to having 6 Pokemon on his being. No this would only apply to gyms or competitions as these kinds of things would require a more formal structure. I have decided on a new idea for this system that instead focuses on the Pokemon themselves. This includes knowledge, buffs, items and so on. The system will be less of a RPG stat layout directly as this still exists. But the stats come from training with the other stuff like others would train in a real world. The exception being Buffs. He can also use the system to build a utopia for his Pokemon. He can even slow down the time inside to gain larger training time later on for specific species which grow slower like Ninetails or various Ghost Pokemon. Enough of this Synopsis and rant though and on to the story. Ps. It's obvious, but I don't own this image. So I take no credit for it. And if someone eventually would like to make an image for this story I will thank you. Sincerely. PPS: Comments help me keep my want to write. When I notice there's not a lot of comments. I second guess my writing, like a lot. Probably for a good reason as I know I like to over analyze things, and I KNOW that's gonna influence my writing. I can see it deeply ingrained. So if you guys like my style please comment.

Chapter 5-Getting Stronger

Joke 4- What does Umbreon and Batman have in common?

I had been tied to a tree with an escape rope. My escape rope I previously bought for this wacky world I would be going into. I had packed quite a few things in my bag that was considered necessary in this world before I went. Like repellent which was made using Gloom honey, Pokéballs, and potions. Charmander sat on a rock away from me constantly berating me on why my joke was inappropriate and why I shouldn't do it again. Yet, even with all this happening, I smiled as I realized that even with my unnecessary joke the little lizard still wanted to go on a journey with me. The smile I could give hidden behind my lecture was that little more genuine. This was something I sought. "Char-mander-charrrr." (You stupid trainer, I know you probably don't understand a word I'm saying, but you could still try to act sorry. Don't think I don't notice that slight smirk you're holding. I swear!!!)

Charmander finally getting tired of lecturing me used scratch against my rope breaking it. "My rope!!!" I was going to need a few hundred Pokédollars to replace that. That was when a couple scary thoughts occurred to me. One, that rope broke way too easily and it once more reminded me of the strength of Pokémon, and two I shouldn't rely purely on the ropes if I didn't want to die. All it would take would be one stray Pokémon attacking the rope itself and then what? The rope would break and lose its ability to lead people out of caves. People would potentially, permanently be lost in a cave if enough Pokémon were willing to attack the rope. I guess that was one reason not to get on the bad side of a group of Zubats or Geodude. Thanks to the many thoughts floating around my mind, I decided to avoid caves for now. I wasn't willing to get myself killed early on in this new life. Getting back to focus, I started looking towards my Pokémon that just let me out of my confines and had quite a funny thought 'Or am I it's human.' With a quick smack of a forehead I focused my attention once more back onto Charmander.

Truly focusing on him this time I watched as he pointed upwards in slight frustration. Looking, I realized there was a flock of Spearows heading towards a certain direction in the distant woods. Looking at the back I saw something highly unusual. There was one Spearow that had a body of different shades of Yellow. I started to grow a bit curious about its identity. Obviously it was a shiny Pokémon and typically they had higher IVs on average in fanfictions. If that held true in this world and IVs passed from parent to child. Where did that Spearow get its genes from. Realizing I couldn't figure it out right now I decided to check it out later. Ash would get away on his own, and I didn't want to end up being their next target. Plus it was less work for me if I didn't get directly involved with the main story line of this world. Occasionally interacting was fine, but constantly standing next to the main character was a way to get into trouble.

Walking around the forest me and Charmander found a small stream that appeared to have a high waterfall. The stream was maybe a foot deep and a couple feet wide yet it fell from the cliff in front of me down by maybe 20 feet. It caused a wide spray of water that made it look similar to a cloud coming from the heavens. Looking over at my partner I smiled a sadistic smile. "So partner I have an idea on how to train you to get Ember," As it turned around and saw my smile it started to sweat wondering if it had pushed me a little to far earlier.

Establishing some knowledge for what were about to do; I thought back to my memories and started an explanation "Ember occurs when your body heat rises to a high enough degree allowing your aura to use it to create fire. So to help your body adapt to increasing your body heat faster we should use the waterfall to cool it down. This will force your body to work harder to get the same previous results. Eventually your move could evolve into a more powerful version if we keep this training up.

However before we start I want to point out to you that while the more powerful move might be better in a direct fight you still should try to keep up in your older moves. After all even a worn out pot can still boil some water," As Charmander looked me in the eye I could only smile as the Pokemon turned as white as snow.

"We have a lot of training to do so lets get to it," as my Pokemon started going towards the waterfall; I came over after taking off my shirt. It appeared to me suddenly and happily that in this life I had a 6 pack. After all how was a unfit trainer going to help train a powerful Pokemon that they wouldn't even be able to get close to without at least a bit of physical ability to keep from getting blown or knocked away on accident.

Going next to my Pokemon I took out my umbrella, and used it to keep my Charmander's flame from going out. Never could be to careful about these things. It was in the process of this training montage that a true bonding between a trainer and his Pokemon happened. They sit together one beside the other keeping the other medically stable as both of them set under the waterfall and tried to stay warm.

---------------Line------------------------------Break----------------

It had been a couple days of training in the same place never moving not even once. I watched as Spearows and Pidgeys flied across the skies, while a couple of Pidgeottos as well as Fearows chased after the other species. "Hmm," I wondered out loud I wonder if the "Pidgey and the Spearow have some feud with each other." After all why would they always end up fighting each other for the same lands?

Charmander just looked at me weirdly before a shift started to appear on the little guy's focus. His skin appeared to darken ever so slightly as the dead skin cells fell off. Out of Charmander's mouth came a burst of fire sized just like it's life like self however instead of just one or two of the embers there were thousands that made it seem as if mini fireflies danced across the skies. Charmander had learned an ability and move at the exact same time.

New Ability-

Shedding- Allows the user to shed all the dead cells on the body to gain a slight increase of Speed as well as Special stat points permanently in return of a large decrease of defense for 3 days . Can only be used once every month.

New Move-

Ember- By increasing the body heat forcefully or not you are able to use Aura to concentrate the heat into small fire balls that are the size of a real life ember. This is why the move explodes ever so slightly when used on something. Able to currently use 2.5 thousand embers within the move at the cost of 10 Aura.

As I looked over at my partner I noticed his exhaustion and brought him close to me as I allowed him to dry of for the first time in quite a while. Was I cruel I wondered before shaking it off. One I was suffer the same problems minus the fear that comes with being a fire type, and two I gave a permanently strengthening option to Charmander. Now even if the Pokemon lost all of his talent he would still be able to get stronger throughout his life time. That was worth a bit of pain to achieve we both knew that. Now the only thing required was to carry Charmander to the Pokemon center to get him back up to tip top shape and start on some other training plan or bonding session. Heading that way I checked on my partner's stats.

Pokemon: Charmander

Hp:26

Aura:14

Abilities-Scorching Sun-All fire type moves from this Pokemon are boosted the hotter the sun shines on it.

Shedding- Allows the user to shed all the dead cells on the body to gain a slight increase of Speed as well as Special permanently in return of a large decrease of defense for 3 days . Can only be used once every month.

Strength-7

Endurance-7

Speed-11

Defense-3 (1)

Special-9-This is the strength of all Aura based moves as well as the ability to resist it.

Intelligence-6-Effects how quickly a Pokemon can grow, adapt, as well as learn new Moves/Abilities/Fighting Skills

Skills: None

Moves- Scratch- The ability to harden the nails using Aura and using a large portion of strength lightly cut the target. Lasts for 6 seconds if the Aura is not used to hit a target. Uses 3 Aura to use every activation.

Leer- Leer- By Pushing a mild amount of Aura into the Pokemon's eyes it is able to enhance it's feeling of malice towards a target. Uses 2 Aura every 5 seconds of use. Can force multiples of 2's to multiply the strength and pressure of the Leer. Current leer would make a normal level 10 Pokemon freeze in fear. And if multiplied it increases by 10 levels each time. The Pokemon will freeze a amount of time dependent on the strength of the aura used versus the opponents level versus your own.

Oh what's this I mumbled as I realized there was now a Defense stat.

"Don't worry Host the system has just fixed a glitch in the system."

"That's not worrying," I mumbled sarcastically to myself going on my way.

The answer to the joke is ......... They both evolve at night. Not to your liking. Oh well. Maybe you'll like the next one.

Oh well so i'm not much of a comedian. One of you give me some jokes to put on here that are Pokemon based.
