The good part about training in a clearing was that you could memorize where berry trees and other natural resources were located. On a road however you have to compete with others for what little there was as well as passing Pokemon that aren't the most friendly with humans. In fact I had already found myself in my thirtieth or so battle just on the way to my next gym.
"You know I'm really getting tired of battling these weak little guys." "Emblaze, Lazaro needs you to take care of the stronger ones among them for us, were the ones taking care of all the weak ones." The mouse Pokemon was not happy with his slip of the tongue. "There, there," the Budew tried calming the two with his sweet scent he learned.
Seeing them argue about this I couldn't help but laugh at their opinion. The Pokemon around this area was weak and that was part of the reason I decided to finally end our training. Still seeing the Pokemon act like their some sort of big boss when most of them were still in their first evolution, I really found myself unable to hold back my laugh.
"Emblaze use ember at half power. No use in hurting the Pokemon to much. Most of them have reasons to hate people after all, and we are the trespassers." "Roger." So with a roar that channeled his power he released it at the frantically dodging Pokemon. Unfortunately for it, my Pokemon had trained its accuracy with its ember to a ridiculous degree.
Walking off towards the gym I finally found myself in a somewhat quiet situation. The noise in this area had almost entirely disappeared and I found that worrying. If my old world's logic worked in this new one.
*Thump. Creeeeak. Crash.*
Yep... My old world new best. Without looking back I took of flying into the woods running from whatever was heading my way. Once I found myself behind a couple of trees I peeked back to see what was happening, and I wished I hadn't. There was some sort of Snorlax related creature going on a rampage, but it wasn't a nice guy version in the least. The stomach came out further and it's hunger seemed unending. Taking out my Pokedex I aimed and snapped a image. Thankfully this produced no sound.
"Gluttonmax the evolved form of Snorlax rarely discovered. The reason of evolution is unknown, but what is know is that they have the ability to digest anything. Unfortunately their hunger never ends and as such they are a type of Pokemon that needs to be reported so it can be contained in specialized facilities. In this way no harm will come to anyone. Sending information on trainer's location to the elite four. Requesting the trainer to leave the area as soon as possible."
Gluttonmax huh, the world of Pokemon once more birthed a wonder unseen from the series or shows in front of me and I found myself wondering. 'Is there a way to calm the hunger of this beast?'
Pulling up my system I looked for skill, perks, items, anything really to help the Pokemon before me and in the item section I found it.
"The Glutton's Alleviant- A pill that smells like a mixture of multiple berries and immediatly grabs the attention of a Gluttonmax. This pill can be taken by a Gluttonmax to settle it's Gluttonous nature for a year at a time. Cost- 5 Pokepoints."
The pill could change this world's power balance as long as a person caught one of these rare Pokemon. Before buying the pill I found a ultra ball in the shop section and bought it. I was risking a lot right now, but I wanted this Pokemon in my team.
Buying the pill it appeared in my hand and drew the attention of the big guy. Finding a chance like you would in a safari hunt. I threw the pill and watched as he grabbed it out of the air and immediately stuffed it down. Throwing my Pokeball once I noticed him entering a daze I found the catch successful and overly easy. Unfortunately even if I had him in a Pokeball, I still needed to convince him to join my team as he had been abducted? in a sense.
Keeping the Pokeball on me in case it's anger was still part of its actions I let out the Pokemon and watched as it set down in front of me happily patting its stomach.
"Oh you have no hell of a clue how much that meant to me. Finally I'm no longer feeling this stupid pain. Makes me so wish I never swallowed that steel coat on accident. I'm willing to help you with anything as long as you can promise me one of them whenever I'm getting hungry again."
The plan turned out to be going a lot easier than I thought it would. "Sure I would be willing to do that, but in fact that's more because I was wondering if you wished to join our team."
Immediately he nodded in agreeance. "Yeah, I'd do anything for one of them berries? Pills?" of yours. Joining your team which is good for both of us. I don't see why I need to consider that. I'll join." "Great. Then I need to tell you something. Earlier I used my Pokedex and a few elite four members could come for you. I need you to show how peaceful you are with me so you won't be taken off and put somewhere." If they take you off I might not get to stay around you and that could cause our deal a lot of problems." "I understand, I was just controlled by my belly before I'm not stupid." "I didn't say you were. Well then, to a great life ehhh?" "To a great life."
