Training Pokemon

For a while I have read over all the cut and paste concepts on the Pokemon world trying to make the host strong as well as his Pokemon using the gamer system. I understand it's a dangerous world and you want to give the MC extra plot Armour. I thought about this and realized that the host would rarely fight in matters that needed strength except in situations that dealt with Legendaries. If that becomes par for course though in the story. What's the point of making this a long term novel that deals with the growth of a character. I would've set this as a short novel that deals with an overpowered MC that one shots all situations that need it. Also I wish to point out that Pokémon have sentience. The world also has abundant food with berries being around and the things that happen in Pokedex's in the games, I'm gonna try to stay partially away from as this is rated at a rating lower than 18+. (That's mostly because I find cursing unnecessarily to be just plain bad etiquette. I can understand if it happens when something bad occurs and you can't control your mouth. But flippant use of them just to annoy people is just that. Annoying...) The original story is also about friendship, journeying, and finding a purpose in the world they're in with their friends. Sabrina, Dawn, and May deal with contests. While Ash, and Iris love battling. Brock even finds a purpose on his journey as a breeder fully going into the field instead of just pursuing it as a side hobby like before when he had to take care of his brothers. As such I find it, while not useless for writing. A complete disappointment and withdrawal from the nature of what this world represents. What with hope and friendship being these main parts, and if you're fighting every creature you meet into submission. How is it possible for you to truly bond beyond servant and subject. Another thing is inside this story I will not limit the host to having 6 Pokemon on his being. No this would only apply to gyms or competitions as these kinds of things would require a more formal structure. I have decided on a new idea for this system that instead focuses on the Pokemon themselves. This includes knowledge, buffs, items and so on. The system will be less of a RPG stat layout directly as this still exists. But the stats come from training with the other stuff like others would train in a real world. The exception being Buffs. He can also use the system to build a utopia for his Pokemon. He can even slow down the time inside to gain larger training time later on for specific species which grow slower like Ninetails or various Ghost Pokemon. Enough of this Synopsis and rant though and on to the story. Ps. It's obvious, but I don't own this image. So I take no credit for it. And if someone eventually would like to make an image for this story I will thank you. Sincerely. PPS: Comments help me keep my want to write. When I notice there's not a lot of comments. I second guess my writing, like a lot. Probably for a good reason as I know I like to over analyze things, and I KNOW that's gonna influence my writing. I can see it deeply ingrained. So if you guys like my style please comment.

Chapter 15-Synchronization

This time we had encountered a lone Spinarak, but I was nervous. Once more I was wondering whether the poisoning in the games was fatal in this new reality of mine. It most likely was something that had the ability to change potency or composition from a main poison or something. Since most Pokemon poison moves were unified in their moves names and uses, but had differing damages. Maybe in this world they could choose whether they would make the moves fatal or not, and maybe they could also change the infliction chance of their poisoning by weakening it. Likely this had to deal with how much aura was put into a certain poison.

Obviously we couldn't get close in this battle, the reasoning for it came easily enough with all these things considered. "Emblaze use Ember from a distance. Do not engage in close combat!" "Got ya Boss, no need to yell. I'm not going anywhere near them pincers even if you tell me to do so." "I guess you don't need to be near that Charcoal, either after this battle" I asked rhetorically.

"Boss its fine no need to get ahead of yourself. I was just excitedly agreeing with you. No need to start taking things," sighing at his attitude I just pointed at the Pokemon ahead of us. Concentrating the embers like he had been previously taught, he unleashed 1.5 thousand improved Embers at the cost of 30 Aura. In the next moment a bang echoed around the battle field, and in it's wake was left a crispy fainted Spider. The "Battle" had been easier than I thought it would be.

Throwing a Pokeball I captured it and sent it to the lab. Having a poison type around could be helpful if I ever got into a bad situation with multiple targets.

"Congratulations on catching a new Pokemon as well as overpowering it for the win. You gain 6 Points."

I don't know how Ash's Pokemon didn't die in the series after each battle they had without instant transportation care even if the Pokeball somewhat stabilized them on it's own according to it's description and knowledge seen in action, but I wasn't here to argue about Pokemon Game vs. Anime logic for this world. I now just needed to consider the logic of how it worked in this world. It was much simpler that way.

Deciding to put it off as one of life's greater mysteries I walked away towards my next target. Walking for close to an hour I finally saw a newish Pokemon Once more. This time I noticed a Geodude off by itself. Thinking about it I decided not to fight this one. I was going to be a bit smarter with which Pokemon I needed to fight from now on after all. I didn't want to fight just whatever I came across as injuries could pile up. Even the game could hint to that even if it sped up what the journey would be like into a couple minutes.

-------

After walking another few minutes I finally ended up back up in the clearing that me and Emblaze had started from. Looking around I sat on a rock waiting for Charmander to catch up. We had decided to race a bit for a bit of training while we tried to find another opponent. Thanks to me having longer legs I was easily able to beat him.

Finally, after a good couple of minutes the lizard made its way over to me followed by a trainer trying to catch it. Thinking quickly I grabbed a stone nearby and managed to hit the man on the back of his head with a powerful flick of my wrist.

Falling down on the ground I noticed Emblaze run up behind me. "What do you think your doing to my Pokemon," I shouted out in anger. Even if the man may have just made a honest mistake in mixing up my Pokemon with a wild one or not I was still furious with him. "Oh so that little runts your's," the man said in a condescending tone.

Catching on quickly I dialed Officer Jenny allowing her to track my Pokedex immediately. "Fine, Trash I think I've taken a liking to your Charmander so hand it over." Thinking quickly I immediately started running away. I wasn't some hero. I wasn't strong enough to face most of the opponents around me that I needed to face just yet. I was weak when you considered everything.

Not being prepared for me to flee as fast as I had the man clumsily pulled out a Pokeball and summoned the Pokemon within. Out came a Rattata a purple mouse Pokemon. However you could see on the Pokemon many bruises and cuts, and a couple even had the shape of a fist. The Pokemon was obviously abused.

Even with this I still ran. Thankfully I had put Emblaze in his Pokeball as fast as I had if not we would have easily been caught. I needed to think quick I realized if I was going to get away from this man. Thinking quick I went into the shop and seen what I was looking for. A Pokemon toy that would distract Rattata from coming after me.

Thankfully it only cost a point. Leaving the toy that materialized on the ground there I continued to run looking back only to see the trainer smack his Rattata after it stopped to smell the toy. Something in me snapped. I was OK being treated like trash. I was used to it but when I saw this creature treated like I used to be It made my blood boil. I wanted to save this Pokemon.

Summoning Emblaze I turned around ready to fight. Seeing the anger in my eyes the lizard realized they had done something terrible. Getting serious we felt something click we didn't need to share words anymore. Now me and Emblaze were Linked.

" Host has gained a Ability Synchronization- the ability to put your mind with another Pokemon you truly trust to be able to respond to all battle stimuli instantly. All damage is shared with the host while in this mode."

We ran as fast as we could at the man. We wouldn't play by the rules with trash like this. All of a sudden a black Aura started to surround the lizard.

"New Ability unlocked Vengeful Aura- Created out of a need to stop some evil that the Pokemon can't accept. Whether that be a natural want, or a want created from a past experience. Halves the speed of the enemy when in use. Costs 1 Aura for Every Second of use."

When the ability was unlocked only one thought went through Emblaze's mind. I don't want to watch my Partner experience pain. I don't want him to experience all these negatives he has had to deal with whatever they are. He would become his Vengeful weapon used for his future happiness. We were partners linked for life. I knew, no we knew we could count on each other from then on in battle and in life not just one.

Sorry for the cliff. It's kind of high but anyways I am happy with how this one turned out. Tell me if you see any mistakes to fix Peace.
