A Bloodthirsty Soldier's Paradise of War

I looked at the little soldier in my room up on a table. I had carved it a small wooden chair in my free time for it to sit upon. Wait a second. Wouldn't the chair be a toy as well?

"Host, only the toys the host recognized as such at the time were available for free awakening. You didn't think of the seat as a toy and as such you didn't get it as part of your toys in the system. If you wish to add it I can do so, but you'll need to purchase awakening or upgrades on your own coins, or with a quest completion, is this OK?"

"Can you do so?"

"Affirmative host."

*Knock, knock*

"Get up son, it's time to go see your friends."

"Ah yes, I did have my birthday party I had to deal with first today after all. Tom wouldn't be happy if I kept him waiting."

"Get dressed son!"

"I am," my voice echoing with my head hitting my bed coming out from underneath it grabbing a small bin I had underneath with my necessity clothing.

One of the teddy bear's started sniggering thinking I couldn't hear it. 'I'll get you later, I promise.'

Getting all my clothes finished into place and my hair brushed I headed down to meet the guests. "Why hello Janet, how are you? Carla It's good to see you. Rebecca it's been a couple weeks. Carl, my friend." To everyone it sounded like a kid trying to be more mature than he is. That was the down side of trying to act a bit more like myself. I looked like nothing but a fool to most of the people.

"Tell them about that time you ...." And of course my mother tried to embarrass me to the best of her ability. Unluckily for her my adult mind after forcefully being put back through childhood was 100% thick skinned. With such a degree of shamelessness, I also dragged her into her own game a couple of times at the cost of a couple of future switchings.

Worth it, I decided. There's a cost to constantly making fun of me, no matter the target, and so the party continued up to the biggest moment of the night. It was time for me to see my presents.

Opening up my gift I noticed something. A cowboy, one I would never forget from the show. One who had Andy on his boot. Oh, speaking of which, it was quite a coincidence, because my name was Andy.

I also got a pig, Mr. Potato Head, and finally a whole bucket of Army men. 100 of them in total. After all these years without toys, I finally received countless ones. And it felt nice. Immediately My system added them all.

"Thank you Aunts, Uncles. Thank you Jerry. After these toys, all I got were clothes and daily necessities."

Heading back up to my room I set by my table which I had left my soldier on and brought out my other soldiers and placed them on the table one by one. Once all of them had been placed out I went to my cowboy and marked my name on his boot. Smiling at him I set him next to my bed on my night stand with my Mr. Potato head fully put together and the pig.

Sitting on my bed I finally relaxed knowing I left them in good positions to talk and freely walk around. Laying down I slowly went to sleep with a happy heart glad I had this chance at a second life.
