Chapter 7

Charles was a very calm guy and played a great role in making Luciana accept Trevor back when he was courting her. He was the only friend of Trevor she had been introduced to and she had also made a friend of him. He prepared coffee for her as soon as they got into his house and sat next to her with his cup of coffee, she had been to Charles's place a few times before with Trevor and she knew Charles was quite a rich man from the cars he would have around him, and even his luxurious apartment.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked her after she was not able to even take a sip of the coffee he had given her.

"I want to ask you something, and please be honest with me," she said to him with red eyes.

"anything," he said to her.

"Did you know that Trevor is a womanizer, that he had a child all this time?" she asked not being able to control her disappointment and pain at what had happened.

"a child?" Charles asked a little bit shocked by that. Luciana went ahead and explained to him what had happened not that he did not know about what happened earlier that morning, Trevor had called him earlier to ask him for advice on what he was going to do. But he did not know about the recent happening of the baby mama.

While Luciana went on talk not being able to control her tears his phone was constantly buzzing and he had to take a second to look at it when he noticed it was Trevor, he placed it aside to not disrupt her and Luciana went on.

"I beg you Charles tell me the truth; I know he is your friend but I need to know everything." She pleaded and Charles felt really sorry for her.

"I should not be the one to tell you this, but you should know that Trevor really loves you, and I have never seen him love another woman like the way he loves you…"

"How is he not telling me he had a child loving me, and that ex of his!"

"He is trying to be a better man,…"

"From being what, a Lier and womanizer?" she said in so much pain. Charles had to tell her everything that had led to that situation.

Trevor's relationship with Amara had gone to the dangerous serious extent it had to end, Amara was very toxic and so was he making them both toxic for each other which resulted in some ugly scenarios. He had to leave and detoxicate from everything from work to family and Charles had agreed to help him with that. But when he met Luciana he felt something special and went after pursuing her.

He had changed everything about his life to find the peace he needed which he found in Luciana. Trevor did not want to ruin his newfound life by bringing up his past and so he did not speak about so many things that were part of his life before choosing a different path. This was something that did not please his mother since he had only promised to detoxicate for two months and now it was taking longer and yet he had a lot of things to take care of.

He was born into a very wealthy family and was a CEO and owner of so many companies that he had left behind to take a break which was taking forever leaving so much work undone. His mother when she learned that he was doing all of this because of a woman he had to do everything possible to bring him back to his senses that it was love that got him to take an emergency break and she was not going to watch him throw his life away for a woman once again.

Charles explained to him that Mrs. Malia was a woman who made sure she got what she wanted in the end and she was definitely the reason behind Amara showing up that day. Luciana was still confused at how all that made sense, how it could be that Trevor was not a cleaner at the company that she lost her job more than once and that he was the owner of the company.

"You are just trying to defend him, by making up all that!" she said getting up from her seat.

"It is not lies, Luciana."

"Then explain how Amara made Trevor change his entire life and become a cleaner in a company he owned?"

"The two loved each other dearly and Trevor was willing to marry Amara until he found her cheating on him a few days before their wedding, he was blinded by her she had tricked him to believe the child she carried was his when it wasn't. He was shuttered and that affected everything"

She felt even worse hearing him speak of the great love the two shared, it made her realize that maybe to Trevor she was nothing more than a rebound. Someone he was using to get over her ex, but all this still did not make sense, especially with the other woman who claimed to have his child.

"How can your best explanation be that the woman is a fraud and she is just doing that to get Trevor's money, I saw her and she was very serious about having his child. All I want is the truth Charles, not some cooked-up stories!" she said her hand moving across her face to relieve the stress she felt.

"This is not lies, look around can't you see he has been leaving frequently it's the business that has been keeping him busy, he bought you a restaurant, I know he loves…."

"No…you are just lying to me!!" she cried out loud not believing it has all been a lie. She walked away banging on the door with tears all over her face.

Charles called Trevor immediately.

"You need to come now!"
