(Aether pov)
I was glad about the fact that the trip to the test we would be taking was short as he was already anxious about the test. His sixth sense which he developed during his sparring with Red and the others was screaming at him that something was going to go wrong...
Although that was impossible since he was prepared for all occasions in preventing. Uriel was his backup plan in case they went on something near the level of a Ranker. Red and the others while not as strong their skills which have been formed probably longer than some rankers were enough to stall and the fact that spirits couldn't die when contracted was a bonus.
The contract with a spirit was simple you provided them soul energy which can raise them a tier or two and they aid you till you die. It was how Red explained it to me when it came to normal spiritual users. With my origin, it was not just a contract but a binding of the soul to them I'm their progenitor.
It was an obligation to show their loyalty to the Reincarnation of the 'LORD' of all spirits even the Lords of their spiritual abilities.
I found it to be rather fascinating and yet I was more interested in how Red came to be a spirit and a flame spirit nonetheless.
Red: "I can't remember my name and one thing for sure I can tell you though was that my life was filled with adventuring with legendary heroes, this shield was a gift..."He summoned his shield showing the symbol of his shield which had the symbol of Phoniex the color of red and gold.
He didn't say much about himself as he didn't remember things regarding his identity only certain things experienced as a mortal. He began to tell me the stories of his adventures. A lady who slayed gods with her spear 'Gáe Bolg', a warrior that killed a lion with impenetrable defense from pure strength, a friend who with his help warded off a thousand soldiers by himself barely managing to survive as reinforcements had managed to save his friend. He wasn't able to remember their names and facial features. However, the impact they had made in his life as a mortal had led him as the warrior he is today managing to ignite the flames in his soul that wished for the strength to reach the peak of his element.
Although ashamed of himself he copied the techniques of his friends and comrades while making them into his style that he knew his strength could handle as the talents of his comrades and friends were beyond his abilities. Yet that didn't deter him since he had something they didn't in this life as a spirit which was time...
He practiced his elemental abilities till they somehow reduced his flesh to bone and trained on the ways of the sword, shield, and spear till they became an instinct, a part of his body. However, he came to later realize that no matter how much trained he realized even as a regulars tier spirit at the pinnacle he would never be able to reach them as spirits couldn't ascend to the next level unless they acquired the blessing of at least a high spirit but that was impossible for almost every spirit as they were too strong for the regular spirit realm and only a few spirits with peculiar abilities could do so.
To the Red meeting Aether, it was a blessing as a regular spirit that Aether had allowed him to grow despite the impossible odds...Especially with someone of my origins which made it seem to him as if fated I especially never noticed how high he regarded me due to him being reduced to the bone until I asked him.
He was truly lucky to have such great comrades I hope everything goes well...

(Khun Pov)
He finally summoned those strange beings again...He didn't know how to feel about the fact that the difference between both brothers that were irregulars was so vast.
One was incredibly naive and open to others while the other cautiously analyzed every move of the team. He also sensed that lying to him would only make things worse as those golden eyes would light up. Shibisu during their time at the cafeteria had given a rant about having taken down countless people with his 'Heavenly martial arts in which Aether's eye would glow with his lips twitching in disbelief.
Bam was arguing with Rak, Endorsi with Anaak, and Hatz regarding how they would communicate during the test. However, I noticed side glances from one of our allies Michelle Light, or something he didn't care about her health yet he wasn't ignorant of how she looked at Bam for a few seconds with utter hatred. Having said that she seemed to have noticed someone looking at her in which she immediately met eye-to-eye with Aether seemingly shivering in fear.
She quickly turned away however Khun now felt that she needed to be kept an eye on the way she was acting. It was way too suspicious and failing this test wasn't an option as the moment they caught the fact of an irregular, not just one but two. Jahad's people and the ten great families would probably quickly dispose of them.
Nonetheless, he wasn't too worried he had several plans and Aether would play a huge part in all of them whether the first or the second went wrong.
The abilities Aether had shown so far were only the tip of the iceberg and he was sure there were plenty of cards for Aether to reveal it was a good thing that he didn't seem to mind the role he was playing.
It just seemed to me that everything was falling into place way too well and I couldn't get rid of my caution as the test administrator had seemed too keen on Bam and Aether.

(Aether POV)
The aircraft or whatever this piece of metal was had finally landed and Aether could hear the nervous chatters of the Regulars. But with how things were explained to us by Lero Ro describing the herders' job while explaining the goal.
Lero Ro: "The goal for you protect the herders so that Bam and Rachel reach the Queen of the herders. Don't think it'll be easy as there are thiefs aquatic goblins and although they don't kill the herders they do steal their fish mostly importantly their mount the wetworms which are the crucial part of the thiefs to steal the fish and they are the 'Dogs' they kill the dolphins so killing them is something important. Lastly, the bull is unlikely to be here but all you need to know is that it is at the top of the food chain and regulars on this test floor don't stand a chance against such a creature given the circumstances, I am confident of you guys making it alive."He mentioned the rest of that was included in the test
He didn't know what to think regarding fulfilling his role it was simply better to massacre the Thiefs and 'Dog' that way the only worry would be the bull and if the group was smart enough they wouldn't face it alone and ask for help.
_____
(Small time skip/Shibisu POV)
Shibisu: "I'm not too worried when we have Aether as our scout even though he's not suited for the role, he's just going to finish them all if he goes all out I mean if Aether kills all the thieves and dogs were practically set."He sighed and smiled and shivered for anyone else being a scout would be a tough position.
Hatz: "We shouldn't have so much reliance on him it's dishonorable Shibisu also our group will be seen in a bad image with him like that you know by the way where are Endorsi and Anak there supposed to be with you?"The two slowly pieced things together in which Hatz gave him a dead-panned glare.
Hatz: "He warned us to stop them from fighting Shibisu..."
Shibisu: "I know...Aethers going to kill me..."Aether had specifically told him to keep an eye on those two and he had let his guard down due to his head being on the clouds.
He hoped the two wouldn't escalate things further Endorsi and Anak were still major assets in case a few things went wrong...
