Saved from death

Damien was busy killing off these stone monsters and next thing he slid underneath the legs of the monster and shot in between it. Piercing it and killing it's main core which was the only way to kill such monster.

"Few! That's the eight floor now...."

Damien was tired as he didn't bring much with him except food and water. He hasn't shower in so long and doesn't know how long it's been. Dungeon time is way different than the outside world's time it feels like he is in the outside world but it's all artificial and just not real just a creation of some sort. He sat down and rested his body against a wall and just wanted to sleep before he moved on.

"I should move on instead only need a couple of minutes maybe an hour"

Still Damien thought that if he delayed in entering to the next floor maybe the dungeon would reset or something or just spawn again more monsters. He couldn't help but just think of his old life it wasn't much as his parents kicked him out the moment he turned eighteen not wanting to do anything with him. It was a meaningless life and well he just felt like everything was black and white. Now he came here with how he died in that accident. Shaking his head he remembered the movement he had with Diana. It was something spectacular. That and the new world with many other things rekindle the fire to live on and enjoy what life throws at him.

Of course with the hardships he'll experience through his journey.

"Man I'm so ti-"

"You!?"

"Huh!?"

He closed his eyes to only opened them with a figure he has met back some time ago.

Damien couldn't believe he would meet the elf girl here and well it is a bit awkward right now as she sat next to him looking at him as if he was a creature.

"Uh....What is that you want?"

"I wanted to conquer and obtain the reward from this dungeon but it seems you got here first"

"I see well, I don't know if you mind helping me and we can share the loot?"

She conteplated on his words and he kept on resting as she gave it out pretty quickly.

"I will and don't break your promise"

"I won't"

Even though he did all the work, Damien didn't want problems with how tired he was and she wasn't so pretty much she could take advantage of his weak state. Hoping that wasn't the case he admired once again her beauty comparable with Diana. That cloak hid that figure of hers while he could appreciate her beautiful face. He quickly got up and dusted himself as he looked at her.

"oh yeah what's your name?"

"Theresa"

"My name is Damien"

She nodded and he scratched his head and just looked at the portal.

"Ready?"

"Yes"

"lets go then"

He jumped inside the portal and she followed him right back. Nineth floor it was and it looked different with just a full on ice terrain. Fatigued was getting to him but he had to push through to make it to the top as he would risk his life to whatever hid there.

"[Fire]"

*Bang* bang*

He shot towards an ice pillar which revealed a monster coming at them both.

*swoosh*

It roared in pain but kept on moving at them in high speed.

*swooosh* swooosh*

"Nice"

The big furry monster died as the one killing it was Theresa. She closed her eyes and felt her surrounding.

"We have more coming"

"Alright"

He was ready to kick some ass and then he heard the stampede. A battle cry came from one after another as they were going towards them.

"Lets get them from all sides"

Theresa nodded going to the right and Damien to the left as he shot at them which burned their fur and made them angrier. Theresa was still interested of that weapon as she didn't know the mechanism behind it.

*bang* bang*

A monster came close to Damien swing towards him just barely missing an inch.

"Shit!"

*Swoosh*

It kept on swinging and he had to dodge as he had no time to shoot. With it being just snow on the ground maneuvering was hard so he was getting caught up to.

"Grrr!"

It felt an arrow on one arm of his and looked at the direction of Theresa which was a bad idea as Damien took avantage of it.

"[Lightning]"

*booooom*

pierced it's head then hit the ceiling making an exploding causing rocks and icicles to fall off. Theresa was running from her side trying to shoot at the same time but the monsters swatted it mid air. Causing her to bite her lip as she then threw something at them causing them to go blind. With high precision she shot their eyes making them even angrier as they roared in extreme pain.

"[Bombardment]"

Damien shot above him as small clouds formed on the two monsters and lightning struck them from those clouds causing them to be fried. Theresa shot more arrows killing them off as their teamwork was something even for their first time working together.

"Anymore?"

"No I don't sense them but probably more further we walk"

"Alright then tell me when they're near and we can take care of them"

Simple as that but then something shot forward towards Theresa which she couldn't react in time.

*Swish*

"Gaaaah!"

It didn't strike Theresa as Damien came in time and used his arm as shield. Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at him with his actions.

"Shoot them don't just stand there"

Snapping out of it from his words she didn't miss a beat and quickly her right eyed glowed and changed color. She spotted a weird looking monster who threw it at her and shot it. The arrow was so fast the monster could only just die from it's head getting pierced.
