Chapter 8: Seal It With a Kiss
Gemma distractedly gnawed on her lip as her eyes roamed the restaurant unseeingly. Her mind was still processing the events from a few hours earlier. She still wasn't sure how Alicia had even known that they were meeting their wedding planner at Versaille. She turned her head and looked for Max impatiently.
He'd suggested that they have dinner at the main restaurant in the hotel - Les Jardins - and check out their menu for the wedding. Gemma had happily agreed, eager to debrief. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant was as breathtakingly beautiful as the ballroom.
This particular restaurant had been inspired by the gardens at the Palace of Versailles. The rooftop restaurant looked like a veritable garden of Eden with the added bonus of an unparalleled view of New York. Lights hung from canopies that still allowed a night sky view.
