A promise

Todoroki's POV

Stain got past me and Midoriya, for some reason his goal was only to kill Lida and Native.

I look behind me and notice (y/n) standing in front of Lida trying to protect him. Lida starts to move one of his hands. But what happened next just happened all too fast. (Y/n) used what I think was her floating quirk, but whatever she used it was slowing him down. She then used her electricity and started running fast back and forth. It looked like she was charging up or something. I would use my quirk but I don't want to hurt her. Midoriya couldn't jump in neither because of how fast she was going.

"(Y/n) stop!" I don't think she heard me but this was getting dangerous she was over using her quirk by a lot.

Next thing I know there's a hole through stains chest and (y/n) stops running and falls to the ground passing out.

"(Y/n)!" Me, Midoriya, and Lida yell simultaneously.

I run over to her, and while I'm running I look at Stain. Is he dead? Did (y/n) really just kill him? Forget it he was bad anyways. I kneel down next to (y/n) and Thankfully she's still breathing but it's getting slower every second.

Midoriya comes up next to me he looked pretty exahsted and his arm was bruised.

"I-Is she okay?" Midoriya looked shaken up.

"Her breathing is getting slower..." I put her head in my lap and start stroking her hair.

"We need to get help now!" I yelled Making Midoriya flinch.

"Did she really just kill him?" Midoriya looked away with his eyes tearing up.

"I don't know Midoriya just go find someone." I quickly told him.

I then heard footsteps behind us.

"This was suppose to be my fight.." Lida's hands were in fist, and his shoulder was still bleeding, we were all in pretty bad shape, (y/n) in the worst.

"I'll go find someone." Midoriya starts to run then falls instantly of exhaustion.

"Midoriya are you okay?!" Lida and I say as soon as he fell.

"Ugh, Yeah, just a little pain." Midoriya then sits up.

"It's okay, my old man should be here soon." I look back down at (y/n).. what are we even going to say happened? I don't think she meant to kill him. At least I hope not.

"So guys what are we going to say.." I speak up.

"Well a hero is not suppose to kill..." Lida looks down.

"(Y/n) is not a killer if she was protecting us, let alone protecting you." I tell him harshly still holding (y/n) in my arms.

All of a sudden we seen pro hero's coming our way, and they instantly went into shock seeing the scene in front of us.

"What did you kids do!" My father said walking up to me. He seen (y/n) was unconscious.

"Or should I say what did she do." He pointed to (y/n).

"She saved us." I said gripping her tighter.

"She really did, she didn't mean to kill him her power got out of control. But Lida would have died if she just stood there." Midoriya backed me up.

"Lida.." a old short man said looking torwards his direction probably for confirmation.

"Yes, without her I would have been dead." Lida looked to the ground.

Native then spoke up, I forgot he was even here.

"That young girl is a hero, she will save many more lives one day. And once she learns how to fully control her power she will be a great pro hero." I smiled knowing that my friends were backing (y/n) up even the pro hero!

"Alright then. We can't say what might happen to (y/n) but we will try to prove her innocence." The person Lida was intershipping with said. (I forgot his name lol)

I smile and look down at (y/n) in my arms.

"We need to get her help." I say stroking her hair.

"Well the ambulances just arrived take her." My father said walking away with what seemed angry.

I picked (y/n) up bridal style and take her to the ambulance. They immediately put her on the bed and wheeled her into the ambulance. The people said there's only one person that can go with her, and of course I took the ride.

It really hurt me to see (y/n) like this. They put an oxygen mask on her and started to connect an IV to her arm and giving her shots. I held her hand threw it stroking it with my thumb trying to comfort her the best I can.

"S-Shoto." I looked at (y/n) and she was squinting her eyes in pain. I really hate seeing her like this. But all I could do right now is just be there.

"Hey, I'm right here, everythings going to be okay." I squeezed her hand and scootch closer to her.

Even her breathing sounded painful. I just wanted to hold her and tell her everything was going to be fine, but if I'm being honest I'm just as scared as she is, I don't know what's going to happen after they found out she killed someone, or if I'm going to lose (y/n).

The rest was a blur. They rushed (y/n) into the hospital room and I was told they were going to perform surgery on her. It was all a big shock but I waited patiently, I mean thats all I could do right?

Your POV

I woke up, but not fully just half woke up. My eyes were still closed. I felt intense pain in my stomach. What even happened? I heard muffled sounds around me, but only one stood out the most.

" But is she going to be okay?" I immediately recognized the voice to be Shoto's.

"Give her a minute she'll be waking up soon but she'll be groggy from the medicine." I heard the nurse say. I then heard a door close and a chair pull up by me then Shoto grabbed my hand. I tried to open my eyes but I was just far too tired I only had little energy to mumble a whisper.

"Shoto." Im sure he couldnt hear me but it was worth a try.

"(Y/n)!" I heard him whisper yell squeezing my hand a little tighter. I tried to respond by weakly squeezing his hand.

I felt Shoto get closer to me and he gently hugged me and kissed my cheek.

"You scared me." He whispered with worry.

"Just get some rest, you still seem tired."

I squinted my eyes at the sudden pain

"It hurts." I whispered painfully to him.

I felt him stroke my hair.

"I know, they just put new medicine in your IV. Just hang in there." There was hurt in his voice.

I fell asleep for a few more minutes then opened my eyes, still tired but the pain was horrible. I didn't even know why I was here.

When I opened my eyes, Todoroki was still stroking my hair and holding my hand while leaning on the hospital bed.

"Still hurts?" He asked me

"mmhm." I hummed

"What even happened?" I quietly said.

"Why am I here?" I looked over to Shoto with tired and confused eyes.

" Wait (y/n) you don't remember a thing that happened?" His eyes widened and he squeezed my hand.

"No." I looked down sadly.

"Then what exactly is the last thing you remember?" I thought for a moment...then I remembered he told me about the quirk marriage and then both of our phones buzzed but I don't remember who it was or what it was about.

"You told me about.. Ya know." My eyes started tearing up then I looked away feeling all the pain in my heart that I felt then.

"Then our phones buzzed, we both looked at them but I don't remember what it was about or who." I said quietly.

It was silent for a minute.

"I love you (y/n).. A lot." My heart jumped hearing those words... But I couldn't stand the thought of this all ending soon.

"I love you too." I managed to choke out.

"I'm going to find a way.." His voice suddenly sounded angry. He gently grabbed my cheek with his hand and make me look at him, he wiped away some tears that I couldn't help but let out.

"A way to what?" I asked nervously

"A way to stop all of this. I want to be with you, and only you,  I just can't picture me with anyone else dammit, you know more than anyone, the one who was there for me, and Im not giving you up so easily. I'm going to find a way to stop this. I promise."
