Chapter 9

Lucas POV

It was honestly fun to see Blanka so blank for the first time. She was so tensed. I bursted into laughter and received a dirty glare from her. Pffffttt! She's cute.

"Yah I was kidding besides Kelly would kill me if I laid a finger on you. That girl has a guys strength tsk tsk", I said shaking my head as I remembered how she almost broke my arm because she saw me carrying her upstairs.

"Where's Kelly?",she asked with her angry bird face. I swear if we had real life angry birds Blanka would be one of them.

"Aah she's in the next room, she's freshing up", I replied. She eyed me consciously before opening her mouth. "Wait if Kelly is next door then ---you-- we-- i--", she tried to find the right words.

"Pfftt!! Hahahha-- no, I was in the room next door! There was a technical issue in my room so I had to have a bath here", I said laughing. She turned to the other side too embarrassed to say anything.

"Ok ok wanna grab breakfast?", I asked her genuinely. She nodded and went in the bathroom saying she will come out after freshing up. Wait-- she doesn't have spare clothes right?

Suddenly after few mins I heard a scream from the bathroom. "Are you okay?",I knocked on the door to check if she was okay.

Blanka's POV

I got out of the shower just to slip and fall on my butt. Owe! That sure does hurt! I let out a scream during the process. I heard a knock on my door. "Are you okay?", I heard Lucas voice. Damn this is fucking embarrassing!

"I'm okay!", I replied as I got up carefully not to slip this time.

It was at this moment that I realized I fucked up!

I was in a fucking bar/ hotel I don't know where and I was not on a fucking vacation with spare clothes! I face palmed my face wondering what to do. Then I heard a knock again.

"Yah! I got the maid to get your clothes!", Lucas yelled after few minutes. Wow! This guy is fast-- but wait my house is far from here plus how on earth does he know my maid or how does he --- any of this made no sense to me.

I decided to put the questions aside and first get ready. I looked inside the bag to find a black ripped jeans with white spaghetti top with blue denim jackets and a pair of white canvas shoes and my under clothes. None of this was mine and I was sure of that. It was all new.

"Aah, Lucas thanks for the clothes", I said. "It's fine but if you wanna thank me then go out for a coffee with me on weekend", he said with excited eyes. He did look hot, no doubt and the way he smiled could melt any girl....

"Are you asking me out on a date?", I teased and instead of being embarrassed he spoke with confidence,"What if I'm ?".

"Let's see if I'm free", I say as I wipe my mouth with the tissue. "Is it too early to ask for your number?", He asked giving me his phone. He can have my number for now, I guess. I typed in my new number.

"Thanks for the breakfast, it was really nice", I say as we are about to part and go out own ways. Kelly had to go back home and asked for a leave since her relative was sick.

I was on my way back to my house when I got a call from Kelly. "Blanka, Ur mom! She fell from the stairs!", She spoke on the phone. "How? Where is she?!", I asked as I prayed silently in my heart.

"XXX hospital", she said and I told my driver to immediately go to that hospital.

I'm currently sitting with my mom wondering about her previous request.

FLASHBACK

I reached the room where my mom was resting. After a few minutes she woke up and smiled at me weakly.

"Mom, are you okay?", I asked her. "Aish, I have not been operated, I just fell off the stairs.", She said in a cheerful mood. This lady! I face palmed myself internally as I cracked a smile looking at her cheerful expression.

"Blanka?", My mom called out. "Yes mom?", I replied as the atmosphere suddenly changed to a serious one.

"Blanka, I can't see you like this my baby, I want you to live a happy life. I know it's hard to get over him but you gotta do something k?", She paused checking if I was listening to what she was saying.

"Blanka, I want you to marry", she spoke. My expression turned grave. "I know Daniel is back....", Her lips formed into a thin line.

"Daniel is gonna hurt you. You need to team up and marriage alliance is the best. You gotta marry either Zac or Ryder", she said.

(A/N: Ryder is the Phoenix Gang, next to Dragons)

I shook my head since it was a very big decision for me. I couldn't just marry someone right?

"Mom I need time", I said looking at her. "Of course but remember only alliance can save us because Daniel has already tried killing your father even after our full group was on watch", she reminded as the doctor walked in to check mom.

FLASHBACK END

I was yet wondering how should I handle this all. I knew we weren't powerful enough but I can't just marry them. Zac will of course not do so after what I did and Ryder? I don't even know him.

Why is my life so fucked up? I had to take decision and fast. If this can protect everyone then I'm ready to sacrifice.

I decided to listen to my mom and marry Ryder, a guy whom I don't know, who hasn't been seen by media, extremely well hidden, one of the most dangerous guys, someone who could totally destroy my life but I needed to.

I dialed my mom's number with my heart and mind still thinking about Zac.....
